Damnatus I just put on whatever. I put on Old Spice one day and...well, it got a good reaction. So I use Old Spice now. This sounds like what I did, just Lynx instead of Old Spice. Though I still use it when I can find it. Good reason to stick with something. =P

Flightless Butterfly I'd be taking samples of your tissue to test it for residue. Or testing your swimmers to see if any of your genetic markers got mutated. Wow, that is scary. We always (when the supervisor was looking) wore redundant safety gear over the whole body suit get-up already required. The worst I personally came into contact through three pairs of gloves was photoresist, which is probably just like printer ink on steroids. Besides, dangerous chemicals only give me superpowers.

Lymph node biopsies.
They will show up all sorts of things that you've been exposed to, and have circulated throughout your system.
Ever read the Forest Mage series? Same sort of plot device used, unknown chemical biological exposure in a war.

I'm not sure what the Speck plague has to do with industrial chemicals. But I'm keeping my lymph nodes to myself. I worked in the less volatile departments anyway. The guys who had it worst were the mechanics.
Didn't wear gloves because they couldn't do their job with them on.

I still find that situation scary.
They provide us with gloves, but unfortunately we can't layer due to the size of the instruments that we have to use the chemicals on.
I'm sure that there are some funky chemicals floating around in my system.
