Ceon stood up and slowly turned back to a human. His veins showed up all over his skin in a dark grayish color. "This is exactly why we need to do something about these humans. They're more an infection to this world than any other parasite."

Jasie nodded in agreement, "Something they won't, see coming."
Her eyes held how far the threaten went, yet her voice was calm and relaxed like still blue water.

Ceon smiled as several bloody and violent thoughts went into his head, and picked the most random one to say out loud, "Like a bunch of buildings blowing up?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 30, 2008 11:22 pm

A lone huntress clad in ebony garments, black trench coat, black disturbed t-shirt, heavy make up, black gloves, black buckled combat boots with skulls, fishnet, the whole kit and kaboodle casually strolled into the park. Her expression perhaps once would have been looked upon as eager. Now the tiredness of her life shone through in her hazel eyes and though there was still fire in them all that fire showed was contempt, anger, a need to vent her frustrations about how ******** up her life had become.

Of course she knew none of the creatures here were at fault but like she gave a ******** damn anymore! Screw the world for all she cared! Everyone she ever knew had abandoned her in one way or another. Perhaps she was once the eager, perhaps promising, big mouthed, true hearted person but that was almost a year ago. Eedie was gone now, no more being abandoned, no one else could or would abandon her, she was solo. God she'd been turned into a ******** whiny emo kid by the people she'd loved and had thought loved her as well!

'You're ******** insane, you know that Meredith? You can still walk away from this and just pretend you hadn't walked up to them all menacingly ...'

Edith was known for her rashness before within the hunters but she knew this idea was just plain stupid. She was human again and while she was still stronger than any average human there was no way she was going to take on these creatures and win. Perhaps it was suicidal but none of the other hunters stood for anything any longer, New York was in chaos and along with it the structure and organization of the hunters. She was solo now and this was going to be a fun night.

The woman, as she approached the group without regard, drew as much attention to herself as possible. Her boots echoed throughout the park so that even humans would be able to detect the solid vibrations. As she walked she drew a lighter from her pocket and it flickered to life with a quick snap and spark and her cigarette was lit. She only used her mouth to carry the cig and as she approached the group she kept the lighter in her hand and used the other to take her cigarette out of her mouth. "COULD YOU GUYS BE ANY ******** LESS DISCRETE!? I COULD HEAR YOU FROM ******** MILES AWAY!"

She calmed down and stopped yelling, taking a drag as she began to chuckle at them and then began to laugh hysterically in the midst of the night. "Apparently we've been too soft on you. Now you guys are so rude you go around openly threatening innocent people, my allies and for what? People fear you because of the things you've done and you've earned the right to be called monsters. Likewise so have we. I know I'm not any ******** better than you it's a kill or be killed world so lets ******** rock!"

Soon replacing the lighter, within an instant, was Meredith's 44 Magnum and it was loaded and ready with silver bullets. She wasn't certain what these creatures were but she decided to try some blessed silver bullets first since they'd take down a lycan or a demon all the same.

Eying the woman, Jasie laughed. "Could you be any less-- ******** annoying? Seriously, you think your high and mighty enough to talk to the-- OOooo, monsters." She said sarcastically.
"We're just creature born from other's, and who are simply trying to live a life among your kind. Don't we have the right to live as well? Oh wait-- I forgot, I'm a monster. So their for, I'm branded with-- kill at will. Forgive me, I guess I just forgot my place in life. Death, before dishonor."

Jasie then bowed, never taking her eyes off this rare beauty and pulled out both her Desert Warrior .45 ACP's. Both currently loaded with regular bullets from her last scuffle with the humans, and pointed them at her.
"I guess we're tied now." Jasie said with a wink, presuming Ceon had nothing on his person. But then again, she could be wrong.

Oh well, this b***h asked for it.

The pain and hurt that danced in Meredith's hazel eyes really gave her no excuse for this and normally she would never be the first to attack someone. However, right now she really didn't give a damn about herself let alone anyone else in the world. These people thought their reason for blowing up her friends and family that abandoned her was justified, not at all. Therefore her reason for attacking these pricks was actually there though she hadn't initially started toward them with the intent of attacking them for a reason.

She knew full well that these people likely had homes, their own families that they belonged to but it'd be too damned bad for their families because these two were conspiring to hurt her own. A viscious cycle. "Back when I wasn't acting like a ******** emo teenager angsty person, yeah, I wouldn't have bothered with you other than had a talk with you. However, I'm hating on the world right now so screw life as I know it! All I know how to do is hunt and that's precisely what I'm doing. You think I'm going to take the whole lets blow up some buildings idley? This hunter - vampire, hunter - lycan, hunter - demon relationship has always been a viscious cycle and it's not going to end until one of us is completely annihilated. You protect your kind, we protect ours."

Her resolve was firm, she wasn't afraid of these people at all, more afraid that she was losing herself and was worse off than when she'd thought she had the spirit of a blood thirsty killer sharing her body. Well she didn't have super strength anymore or super psychic senses so things were going to be pretty sketchy but she'd fought as a human before and she could do it again. One flashed smile and a quick flick of the wrist and two shots were fired toward Ceon. Of course, Edith then proceeded to duck behind a tree for cover.

Ceon stood there in silence, watching the barrel pointed threateningly at him. He let loose a low growl and leaped to the side as Meredith's trigger finger pulled back. The first bullet lodged itself into the ground, and the second grazed the side of his ribs, causing steam to rise up from the wound. Ceon clutched his side as he hissed in pain. First with the nitrate, now this?
PostPosted: Wed Dec 31, 2008 12:38 pm

Damn, Ceon-- can't you at least try not, to get hit." She said with a frown as she reached him, helping him behind the cover of a near by tree.
"Here, take this." handing him one of her Desert Warrior .45's with two extra clips, she winked at him with a smile.

Turning from him, she looked over were the human took refuge, "You think your at the right in this-- we wouldn't have even considered blowing up anything. If one of your ******** kind, didn't attack us moments before. It's your kind that's not excepting a truce, and your kind that make us never consider it because you kill for enjoyment, revenge or simply because you can. But then again, I guess we made you that way. We monsters, are always the ones at fault-- even though most of us are merely trying to live a normal life. Well, if you could call this-- a normal life."

The moment Jasie's face peered out from the tree Edith began shooting the blessed silver bullets at her face. She wasn't going to sit here and listen to this b***h natter about how she was the victim. Eden was a victim too and she wasn't sitting here whining about it after she'd said something completely contradictory of her point in the first place. She'd thought she was a monster and apparently so had her fiance since he'd ******** gotten engaged to her only to try and kill her when they'd left town for a while. Now she was back here and she was bitter as hellfire.

"Blowing up good, honest hunters that are just as innocent if not more so than you isn't acceptable. You imply that I'm discriminating well what about you!? Generalizing is the same ******** thing, b***h. Don't try and turn this into a whole OH MAI GAWD I'M SO HELPLESS scene because if you generalize all people and hunters that easily then I sure as hell will discriminate against you like I am now! What would you do if someone threatened to blow up your family? That's motive enough for me to kick your asses. You'd get the people that said that before they could hurt your family and don't even try to lie on that one because I know you would. If you're gonna whine and make this into the whole you're the victim scenario at least make it ******** convincing and try to not have me overhear you threatening to blow up my family before you do it."

Normally she wasn't this hostile, normally she just policed these guys and let them do what they wanted until they killed someone but right now she needed a good high. And what was a better high than the thrill of the hunt itself as a human again? This made it so much better because she was susceptible to things she used to constantly worry about. Being a vampire used to be the most horrible idea to her in the world but after months of going through some weird science experiment that made her akin to a vampire in almost every way she really wasn't all too frightened of being bitten and whatnot. Lycans didn't scare her either, Krii was the scariest one out there as far as she was concerned and he was her big brother that was no where in sight to lead the hunters.

Crnch.

There was a familiar sound of a foot on gravel, slowly approaching the three as a somber figure made its way through the cemetery. Black hair, long and unruly, hid the person's face as they walked onwards.

Crnch.

"They say," said the figure, a haunting, feminine voice floating through the air, sounding of bells, "That only fools walk the graveyard on a dark winter night like this." Red shoes were stark against black jeans, a black shirt, and a black leather jacket. She pulled a pistol from its holster on her right hip, gun cocked and safety off. Ash gray eyes looked up, eying each fighter in turn, her half closed eyes finally landing on Meredith to give the hunter a long, hard stare.

She stopped, not far from where this brawl was taking place, her gun held to her side as if she was unaccustomed to using a weapon. Or, as if she had no need of one. "I would kindly like to ask you all to please either stop, or to keep down the noise. It almost seems like you want to escalate the growing tensions of the city." Lydia Aidly Jackson's eyes suddenly went white, her psychic powers active and ready to use. "I would rather not have to exercise excessive force."

"A fool," Meredith answered in return, her head bowing in respect and slight shame from what she'd done despite her response being defiant and bold, "unless they are perhaps seeking death out." She rose from behind the tree and began making her way toward Lydia though her hazel eyes didn't seem particularly thrilled to see her. The flame from them that'd always been there before was no longer a flame, it was an ember quickly burning out and beginning to sputter out. There was no kindness in her eyes anymore, only contempt and pain.

"Tension's blown through the roof," Eden stated bluntly, crassly even, "in this city. Cops are out shooting people because their nerves are so wracked up from this news that came from Mauser and citizens won't come out of their houses and when they do they've got knives, guns, whatever they can use to kill a mofo so I don't really see how this is so horrible. Besides the authorities want us to help them out since we are the hunters and all so it's their loss and not mine."

She refused to holster her gun, clearly she did not have any faith in Jasie nor Ceon so she insisted upon keeping it out. However, she did not aim her firearm at them, she merely insisted upon keeping it at her side, accessible in case they didn't take Lydia as seriously as smart people would have. Eden hated being told what to do and though she was being defiant she was more or less going along with what Lydia said out of her previously formed respect for her.

"This I know." Lydia replied, keeping her now opened eyes on Meredith. "I have been walking these streets for some time, attempting to bring some order to chaos. It is difficult, with many of our best either incapacitated or simply...gone." There was some pain in Lydia's eyes for a moment, but only for a moment. It was then gone and replaced by that seemingly impenetrable calm. "However..." Lydia took a step to the side, some damp spot on her hip becoming illuminated for a moment before once again blending seamlessly with the rest of her. "Inciting further opposition and chaos is not wise, not if we want to bring this city back into some semblance of normalcy. But after what has happened..."

Lydia gave both nightwalkers a good, hard, and cold stare. "After what has happened, normal might never come again. You might always have to live out in the open. Inciting violence, or reacting to someone else inciting violence will only further prove what the huddled masses already think of you. I know that many of your kind dislike the reputation they have built up over our long history. I pray that you are among those who share that sentiment."

Jasie came out in the open, despite the nagging voice in the back of her head saying otherwise. This was so unlike her, but disgusting this further was for the best.
"I have been among the streets seeing the very same destructiveness." Jasie said with a hint of sadness within her voice, seeing friends and foe's die without cause. Taking note of Lydia's reasonings, Jasie agreed with her fully. Yet apart of her knew nothing would be the same regardless of their actions to change it.

"What are we to do if we're bruted or have no other means-- but to fight? Are we to merely to lay down are arms and die? No offense, but I'm not going to take s**t laying down much longer. I've seen to many friends die as it is. I'm not saying I'm going to start trouble, but if I'm shoved-- I'll shove right back." She paused a bit before continuing, "We weren't seeking death. We came here to seek out refugee, a place for mourning and for a few moments of rest-- yet we where interrupted as a hunter came in and attacked us." She nodded towards Ceon who already held a wound from their encounter with the psychopath, and now another from Meredith.

"I wasn't playing the whole innocent and victimized person-- I was merely being an a** to you before." She spoke to Meredith, "And just so you know-- I know exactly how it feels to lose everything I hold dear. So please-- don't talk to me about death and loss. Because I think I know more about it than you do." She said hiding the emotions that threatened to burst, yet the pain was etched into her eyes.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 01, 2009 10:38 am

"We don't expect you to sit there and take it lying down but you shouldn't go around threatening the hunters out in the open like this." She gestured to herself calmly, "It sets some of us on edge and gives us a reason to hunt you down. However, if you've been shoved, by all means shove back or they'll just keep coming at you thinking you'll do nothing about it. However, I suggest it be a warning shove unless the initiater persists."

"Lets stop right there with the whole you were attacked before I came along thing because I want to get this story straight. Some psychopath hunter just waltzed on in here and opened fire at you when you did nothing such as threatening the hunters to merit this attack?"

The leader in her had kicked in, she was a senior hunter and she was now slowly becoming more and more ashamed of her rash actions from earlier. No one threatened her family and that was a good enough reason to attack them but the fact that she'd been planning to hunt them despite that fact made her stomach feel unsettled. She was no better than a murderer if she went into conflict like that. She hadn't been intervening to save a life, she'd been angry and was seeking out a battle to the death.

"If you can give me a name or even a slight description I'll see to it that he's more than talked to for what he did. We need someone friggin' governing the hunters and if the actual leaders have up and flown the coop then I guess someone's going to have to temporarily step in. Also though I had a reason for attacking you I initially planned to attack you whether I had a reason to do so or not. That was unprofessional and more to the point completely wrong of me. I'm not a murderer. I do my job to protect people so I sincerely apologize to you for my temporary loss of perspective."

Upon hearing Jasie's statement about death and loss Meredith glared at Jasie though her voice was no longer angry and hostile, instead it was cold and unfeeling. She was considering revoking her apology but she didn't bother to. Before she spoke she glared long and hard at Jasie, watching her all the while she began to holster her gun. "Good to hear because you aren't innocent, none of us are. As for the you knowing more about death and loss, that is an unfair call. You can't measure something like that and to attempt to measure the pain you felt with mine is selfish of you. Shame on you for trying to say you know more about it than I do. You think hunters are invincible or something? The majority of our ranks are human and unlike you may think we're not completely heartless. We care if one of our comrades, one of our family has fallen. At the moment our family is pretty damned depleted so don't you dare try to compare your losses to mine and say you've been through more."
