With smaller, swifter steps, she followed after him as subserviently as possible for a girl like her. Behind him she moved her arms and legs in more exaggerated movements, attempting to get used to the new feel of the Order uniform. It was almost like trying on new skin, trying to become familiar with it and making it her own. If she wasn’t uneasy already, the fact that they were going down to the layer of the Order that made her least comfortable only amplified the feeling, knowing Cross had unusual and generally unpleasant ways of conducting training. Then again, being an Exorcist wasn’t exactly usual and pleasant.
“A scavenger hunt?” She asked a little incredulously, taking a shaky yet careful step into the boat waiting for them in the canals that she didn’t often see. Once she was settled down, feeling the slow ebb of the boat rocking atop the water, she rubbed her slightly chilled hands together wishing her uniform included gloves even in the November sun. “I thought you were the anti-instruction, Cross-kun.” With a little lean she dipped her fingers into the canal water, the water as cold as the air outside sending a jolt up through her arm, leaning towards the side in a very casual manner waiting for him to explain himself more thoroughly.
