Asmondai Ociluce I'm going to actually post in the Last Bastion threads later on tonight. Right now, though, I'm getting ready to leave for my first game in a few months. My Crimson Fists, shelved for years, are finally deploying again! And... I've got a question. What's it say about the folks in the gaming group where, upon my return, I was told to bring either a Lord of War or two Imperial Knights to a 1250-point game or get slaughtered? Oo;;!! ><;; Well... that was embarrassing. I showed up at the game store yesterday with my army, which included a Land Raider Redeemer, Stormtalon, and a Knight Paladin. It turned out that I was the only person there with so cheesy a list. The reason? I apparently misheard the league organizer: he was talking about a tournament he would be running in December, not the escalation league I just joined. I WAS THAT PERSON! DX Fate, though, had a surprise in store for me. I wound up going against a Dark Eldar player. He had almost as many dark lances and blasters in his army as I had models Oo;; The man independently crafted an army list that was perfectly capable of wrecking my $#!% up. I won the match due to a little luck (the number of 1s he rolled for armor penetration was impressive), but it was damned close. Next week, even though we're supposed to keep the same army lists between games during point-tiers, I'm asking the organizer if I can swap out my Knight for something a little less cheesy.

Found my future company champion:  Just need to add a gubbin to the left arm to represent a built-in energy field that doubles as a duelling shield. Slight warning if you plan on browsing his catalogue, it is most certainly not safe for work. The guy can sculpt nice models (his Fallout range is most exquisite), it's just a shame that well over half of it is pointless smut with gratuitous nudity and bondage..

Well look at that, they finally released JUST the rulebook and not a giant box of fluff that they decided to make the newest edition to get that 85 bucks. Kinda ironic that the book alone is 58 bucks instead...

Volan d Vol Well look at that, they finally released JUST the rulebook and not a giant box of fluff that they decided to make the newest edition to get that 85 bucks. Kinda ironic that the book alone is 58 bucks instead... It's still cheaper to get an A5 rulebook from the new starter or that Space Wolf versus Orks set from Ebay. If you really want a hardback, just go with the three book deal from a discounter, the picture book is pants, but the fluff book is most excellent.
