Shin and Kni were standing beside one another, waiting for the Goliath beast to be released. The gladiatorial arena they came to find themselves in was relatively empty, save for the blood and sand that made up the earth they stood on. As the gates rose, the cheering in the stand followed suit. The monstrous Rancor stepped out, a metal collar around hits neck, binding it to a lifetime of servitude.

"Ready brother?" asked Kni, the smaller girl. Shin turned to face his sister and with an excited grin replied, "Ready!" The beast let out a boon chilling scream, as it began its assault. It wielded a large club, possibly just an entire tree. The beast closed the distance between itself and its targets in no time with its long legs. The massive tree was coming down, aimed more so at Kni than Shin.

Reaching out to each other, the twins intertwined fingers,feeling a surge of power fill their bodies. Shin was the faster one, and jerked Kni out of the way as the club smashed into the sand were his sister had just been. Sand was in the air, and so was Kni, her feet having yet to touch the ground since being pulled to safety. "Up you go!" screamed Shin, spinning his sister 360degrees before flinging her into the sky. Afterwords he lept onto the tree, running up the log, keeping within 10 meeter of his sister.

After being flung into the air, Kni balled both her fists into a mallet type formation. She flew right up past the beast head, and then began her decent. Being the stronger one of the pair, she released her attack with a battle cry, smashing into the skull of the Rankor.

Shin followed up with his own attack, striking at the Rankors eyes. The beast responded with a howl of pain, and swung his free hand blindly around him, as if batting away flys. The pair was struck, sent flying in opposite directions. After the two got over 10 meters way, they immediately felt the weakness of their bodies catch up to them.

Slamming into the sandy bloody earth, they could not seem to find the strength needed to pull themselves up again. The Rankor having recovered from the attack's, was now approaching Shin. Seeing this, Kni forced herself to one knee, "Hey big guy! Try picking on someone your own size!" she screamed, not thinking of her statement in any way. The beast ignored her, lifting the broken body of her brother into his hands and began squeezing.

Shin let out a wail of pain, feeling bones popping out of place and snapping. The beast seemed to enjoy the screams. Relaxing his hand and squeezing again to repeat the effect. It then turned its attention to the girl it had left. Moving her her, the beast let he club fall from its fingers, and replaced it with the other half of the gemini pair.

The twins were being crushed, the only way they knew the other was no already dead, was because they would have died with them. This was also they reason both refused to die, not wanting to drag the other down. The beast was toying with them, until it made a mistake. Pressing the two together, they felt the surge of energy as the souls unified.

Kni, with her amazing strength, forced the grip of the Rankors hand open. Then lept to the other hand. Reaching her her brother to again get that burst of power, she was cut short, feeling a wave of exhaustion and fatigue. Her heart beat could be heard in her ears, the pulses slowing. The pain in her body seemed to fade, and fear, yet calming gripped her mind. She knew what had happened, her brother had been destroyed by the beast, and she in turn would die as well.

Yeah, after the fact, it kind of is, but it was freaking terrifying waking up to someone coming in and walking around your room that shouldn't be there! Talk about adrenaline rush! O_O

I think the funniest part is the fact that I don't believe she's even aware she's done that . . . . drunken sleep walking ftw! rofl

I managed to recreate the post and am happy with it -- maybe even made it a little better. ^_^
