Vadin had to use more effort, but kept Rei away from Bakura, for the most part. What he wouldn't give for some rope just about then... Khalid approached Bakura slowly, oblivious to his partner's struggles with keeping Rei at bay. He drew the dagger from the Millennium Rod, holding it up to Bakura's neck. "How easy it would be to kill you. Then a lot of my trouble would go away." He muttered to himself, watching in amusement as Bakura stiffened, but didn't try to break out of the bindings from the Millennium Item's power. Smirking, Khalid flicked the blade down, neatly severing the cord that held the Millennium Ring there. He caught the item as it fell, then turned towards Vadin. "I'm going to go. You stay here."

"dont you touch him!" she yelled at khalid before continuing to struggle with vadin. "let go already dammit!!"

Vadin did, but mainly because Khalid had whirled around and hurled the Millennium Rod, pointy side first, at him. He caught it, but rather clumsily, and blinked at the cut on his palm. "Oww..." He began to complain, but Khalid had already left the room. The first thing he noticed was that Khalid had left it so that Bakura was still forced against the wall.

Once he had let go of her she ran to bakuras side. reaching up she continued to try and pull bakura down.

"It won't work." Vadin pointed out in Bakura's odd silence. "Khalid hasn't used the rod in a while, so it's got lots of energy, which means it'll last pretty long. Longer, since he doesn't have to worry about the other one any more."

"What makes you think I'd do that? Did you not see me come in with him? 'Sides, Khalid'll want to kill Bakura anyway. It won't make much difference if I let him go or not." Vadin shrugged, toying with the Millennium Rod before getting up, going over by Rei. He circled her, examining her carefully. "How much do you want me to help you and Bakura out?"

Rei growled "Im not going to let anybody kill bakura!" she said eying him carfully.

"Watch." Vadin held up the Millennium Rod, and froze Rei's body as Khalid had done to Bakura, only decided against throwing her against a wall. He went over to Bakura, who growled like a fierce dog, and held the blade of the item up to his neck. "You said you weren't going to let anyone kill him? Go ahead and stop me."

"Aww. Too bad. Turns out that wasn't a question." Vadin said with a grin, moving forward, grabbing Rei's wrist in a tight grip. He shoved her down roughly on the hospital bed, bringing an angry shout from Bakura.
