Happy...to be free of Talon and Razor. That they can hurt no one else. But...otherwise...

*Chris smiles. They started packing up Chris's game and he explained how he had to go to therapy with Samson or Quin.*
They also took my amulet for a while. I guess I understand. They need to trust I won't backslide.

This was a lot easier with my armor. I should buy a dolly at this rate...how many times have I moved now? Anyway...
*Chris placed a last box on the pile. He looked back at the empty half of the room. He had barely spent any time here. That one last night with Cassie...when he still believed the lies.

Dammit...he had given her those Spamalot tickets! Chris grimaced.*
Let's get this down to 108...Chris Davis is my new roomie. I have to thank him for helping too.
*He picked up a box and started down the hall.*

We'll get you into that room in no time. Besides, I'd like to meat him. I don't Thin I have. And you'll have a new friend as well! I hear he hangs out with that horrid cheerleader Linda Lang a lot. He's gotta be cool if he hangs out with Cheerleaders. Even bad ones.

Hartley Rathaway
A local news station in Colorado
"This is Stan Maston reporting at the Beaver Creek resort, where, just hours ago, the entire resort was buried by a surprise avalanche. Right now, resort workers and owner, famous millionairess Veronica Cale are trapped inside of the main lodge.
Beaver Creek, of course has been the center of controversy lately when allegations came to surface about worn-out ski-lift equipment and other cost-cutting measures that were put into place without alerting lodge renters. Word of a class-action lawsuit for injuries suffered on the slopes was being bandied about, but now, the damage may be so extensive that the Lodge may simply be forced to close down.
Rescue workers are drafting a plan now to extract Cale and the workers, but work is slow as they try to prevent any additional snow collapse on the lodge, which could result in collapsing the roof of the building and crushing everyone inside. We had a brief cellphone conversation with Cale before her phone cut out, and it sounds like everyone inside is all right, but cold. Cale said something about hearing 'strange music' before the avalanche. No word on what exactly that means. We will update throughout the night on this situation as it develops."
Late that day, Hartley returned to the hospital, his flute packed back in his luggage. He felt much, MUCH better.

After there lips parted Cassie looked at Wally.. She found herself feeling at lost for words for a few minutes. Then after the awkward pause of silence.
" Wally...I ...I can't say I love you. I said that once to someone and later on I ended up hurting him deeply. I'm not sure I know what love is. But I am fond of you and I like you alot. I wouldn't mind going out with you... hell I think we would have a lot fun together."
Cassie sighs.
" I came between you and your best friend. No one would blame you if you hated me right now. Maybe... maybe I just need some time to clear my head. I decided that I'm going on that school skiing trip with some of the girls. The fresh air might do me some good. I think... maybe you could use some fresh air too. Look you know how to find me if you wanna talk to me. I should get packing. Winter break's right around the corner."
Cassie walked back to her dorm room. She couldn't tell Wally she loved him because she wasn't sure if what she was feeling for him was just love or lust. No it wasn't lust... it was greater then that. But love? Besides battling evil and being partners in class they really hadn't spent much time together.. and no real alone time. I mean they never really went on a date before. But whenever she saw him something came over her...

Achilles sat on his bed inside of his dorm room and looked around. He had an exciting past number of days, and had even managed to avoid Karen for a number of them, but now he felt almost discontent at the approaching Yule holiday....or what he understood now to be called Christmas.
Just about every kid and teacher at the school would be venturing home for the holiday, save for him. His home was over 3,000 years in the past. So it looked like he would be spending Yule, er, Christmas, here at the school.
He sighed and reached over and picked up the small plastic ... gizmo ... that turned the entertainment box (television) on. He clicked it and it came to life. It was like watching a portable oracle, he mused, and he leaned back to try and take his mind off of things.

Chris was straightening up the room when he heard the door open. He had let the room get pretty messy since it was just him in there. He was a bit nervous. He had never had a roommate before, he had always been alone even before he came to this school.
"Hey roomie. Need any help?"

*Yup. This was the guy who was helping Dani and Iris. Maybe this move would work out. That would be nice. Chris walked forward and shook the other Chris's hand.*
Thanks for helping with Razor. I appreciate it. And yea...a hand would be good. Oh...I guess you know Dani? Maybe we can ask Iris over and watch some movies.

Cool. That made sense.
Wally felt a warmth inside that had nothing to do with the icy chill in the air around him. He wasn't used to taking things slow, but in this case, it was the right thing to do, and he knew it. Now, if only he could make things right between him and Chris...
That was going to take time, too.

Cassie was getting packed when she saw something in her closet... The Christmas gifts she brought for everyone. She set Dani's which was a silver neckalace saying best friends on her desk. Cassie got her mom to add Achilles to their family plan and got him a cell phone. She wondered if he would even know how to use such a thing.
Teddy she got a gift certificate for a movie theater in town and Billy she got a gift certificate to a local restaurant... she figured they could have a date night. Wallace she got a gift certificate to for Barnes and Noble and Hartley she got some cds that she thought he might like. Wally she got him a gift certificate for Foot Locker, she figured a speedster probably went though lots of shoes. Each cheerleader was getting a bath set from Victoria's Secret... and their at the bottom was Chris's gift. A 32 GB Ipod touch with a itunes gift card.
Cassie downloaded a bunch of sappy love songs on to it for him... but now.... there was no way he would get it. Cassie stuffed the gift deep inside her desk drawer. She went over to the boys dorms and slipped the Christmas cards with the gift cards under the respective doors. She knocked on Hartley's door but after no answer she left his gift right outside his door and continued to make her way to see her brother, Achilles. Cassie took a deep breath then knocked on Achilles' door.
