Zero Omega Kinetic Dream Zero Omega So... I smell like rock concert. ... *passes out* No base for creating my zombie horde? Well, it sounds like you had a good time if you can walk away smelling like rock music. AzurePaleSky Zero Omega So... I smell like rock concert. ... *passes out* *sniff sniff* You're right!! I take it it was good?
Next up was Grey Heaven, another metal band, that had a Metallica-esque sound to 'em so I enjoyed 'em (granted I saw the last half of their show because two bands were playing at the same time). I went back to the main room and saw a cover band, Alice in Smack. They cover Godsmack and Alice in Chains songs, I wasn't too impressed to I went into the backroom and saw D'Amato, I'm not sure exactly what they played, but they seemed like heavy rock. They covered Nine Inch Nails' Head Like a Hole. I went back into the main room and heard Alice in Smack covering Man in a Box, which was pretty good, they threw in a bit more of a metal taste than I remember, but it was still awesome, the band after them covered Ozzy's Bark at the Moon.
I went into the backroom and Junkies and Thieves were gonna be up next, so I stayed around for that. These guys were ******** awesome, balls to the ******** walls rock. It was so great, anyone who loves flat-out rock should check them out, they also covered Kiss' Rock n' Roll All Night Long, which was really great. One of the ladies in the crowd actualyl called the vocalist over and placed money in his tight leather pants. xd After them was Dead End Jane which was another ******** awesome rock band, both bands were just pure heavy rock, I really enjoyed them, it was great.
I took my rest here, the next band was Jupiter Blue, I previewed their stuff on MySpace and didn't really like it. Alternative/Pop-Rock, I mean, it was good for what they played, it wasn't like the normal pop-rock you hear today, it was really heavy rock, but it just wasn't my kind of heavy rock, although the bassist was wearing an X-Japan shirt which humoured me. xp Following them was Mandy Lion of WWIII, this guy was straight up heavy-sex-metal. When he came up, the three platforms that were established throughout the Knitting Factory were mounted by bikini-clad chicks, Mandy Lion was on this platform that had a fan under it, so it would blow around his hair and jacket.
Half-way through his performance (I guess this was a sex song, I couldn't hear the lyrics) he leaned down to one of the girls in the audience and said, "I will make you the luckiest girl in the world!" In his really heavy metal voice, the chick then jumped on stage and started grinding against the guy, she grabbed his hands and put them up against her breasts and he undid her pants. xp It was really ******** trippy. Following that was just... A ******** awesome guitar solo by the guitarist, it was so awesome.
After Mandy and his crew it was time for what we were all waiting for, the Big Ball Stars. Appearing on-stage were:
Robbie Crane - Bassist for Ratt, Vince Neil Band, Ratt, and other bands. I believe he was on lead guitar.
Robin McAuley - Vocalist for BLEED and Grand Prix. Vocalist for various bands that featured members of other hard-rock bands such as Thin Lizzy and Motorhead. He was vocalist.
John Corabi - Vocalist for Motley Crue from 1992-1996. He was on ryhthm guitar.
Chris Slade - Drummer for AC/DC. He was on drums.
Teddy Zig Zag - Played with Guns n' Roses and Alice Cooper. He played keyboards that night.
Brent Woods - Don't know much about him, he was on bass.
It was such an awesome performace, the three notable songs were, Shook Me All Night Long and Thunderstruck by AC/DC and Bring It on Home by Led Zeppelin. During Shook Me All Night Long one of the... Really wasted girls was grabbing at Robin's crotch, she then hopped on stage on her knees and placed her face against his crotch, needless to say as a rockstar, he grabbed her hair and let her at it for a bit, then picked her up and pulled her off-stage as if he were gonna run-off with her. xd But she returned, came back down, and continued grabbing at him the rest of the night. During the last song some guy jumped onto the stereos with a full beer in his hand and was just rocking out, this caused the beer to hit my cheek and splash all on the side of my clothes, oh man, I may not drink but that was hilarious.
It was really awesome, my neck and back are killing me, I can barely hear out on my left ear and I no longer reek of beer. I got away with a Club Vodka Present: The Big Ball Stars t-shirt (large) and two D'Amato singles that I found on the ground when I was leaving. It was truly a rock experience. Now I've just got to recover for Tuesday.Wow... uhh interesting. People sure like their sex and alcohol. Yay Alice in Chains (covers)! It's so strange that they're touring. A conversation earlier with my dad: Me: So I'll probably spend Tuesday night here at home since I'm going to the Knitting Factory with a friend I met at AX. (I explain more in detail.) My dad: I'd feel better if someone else went too. Me: Kimi and I have gone by ourselves a few times... I think it'd be better that I'm with a guy (no offense Kimi... I still plane you). My dad: ...... still... Me: Do you want me to call you when I get there or something? Him: Never mind. blaugh I can understand his concern, but I'm trusting that Nick will not rape me. If you do, my dad will be really pissed off and say "I told you so". I'd prefer to not have this shoved in my face.

Dr. Fomite Kinetic Dream *just checked exchange rates on some items* Huh... I had no idea that the price of grab bags (04) had actually managed to go up. I could make some serious coin off of this, even as is now. xD
In other news, I am very excited. By next month, I should have all of my Health Professions student loan paid off! 4laugh I could have even paid it off this month, but that would've left me without much to spare in case of emergency.
Getting this loan paid off was my big goal to accomplish before I start working on a car, so I may actually get serious about that in the near future. surprised
Granted, this is only the Health Professions loan. I still have the bulk of my consolidated federal loans to repay, and that's the much larger amount. Even so, I'm still really proud that I'll be able to get an $8,000 loan paid off within a year of starting work. Horray! Good Job Mala!

In other news, I am very excited. By next month, I should have all of my Health Professions student loan paid off! 4laugh I could have even paid it off this month, but that would've left me without much to spare in case of emergency.
