Sevilin shrugged. "Didn't hear a peep out of the dear princeling while you were gone...and to think he does hate me so for wahtever reason...jealous I believe was the word used." A raise of en eyebrow. "Taking those that would appreciate and support you under your wings?" Was Malik like enough. Then a nod as he more or less told them to come back inside.

His eyes turned back breifly to the spot where Kimmuriel had been. "And that he in fact didn't need me 'out of the way' to get rid of her." After all, he didn't recall doing a damn thing, nor being away from the plane or whatever it was that he was supposed to do/be in that drow's mind and plot. But then his attention snapped down to his arm as he felt pressure there from being grabbed, the semi gloved hand resting on his arm, belonging to Zahara.

Thus his eyes and body turned to her, easy to see and pick up on her distress. Grasping her by her upper arms lightly, just above her gloves, he put his attention fully to her. "Tell me what's wrong..." His voice rahter soft spoken, in that tone that was meant to soothe with just the sound.

Okay...so breakfast was gone...and most likely dinner from the night before. Lovely. That was the one good thing about those potions...the chemical from the ingrediants absorbed quickly enough into her body so that if she did loose it, the potions effect was still kept. Thus she was still constantly flushed and giggly...not that Piper knew those were indicators. And hey...loosing her meals was better than nosebleeds in her opinion. Of course she was used to this by now, didn't take her long to let her stomach relieve itself and then rinse out her mouth and head back to the bedroom, plopping on the bed. Hm, was it going to be one of those days again?

Her eyes snapped open and she shook her head, "I don't know..." What was going on. She felt like something was embedded in her side and oh it hurt. She'd been through pain before but this had taken her completely off guard and she tried to twist out of his hold. Bringing her other hand up so both were grasping his forearms, nails digging into his bracers, which didn't do her much good. "Something in my side." Her eyes met his and discomfort and distress reflected clearly in them as well as her silent plea to make it stop. She held back a whimper and once again attempted to move and dislodge whatever had gotten stuck. She lifted onto the balls of her feet and arched her back, feeling the baby do that somersault thing they liked to do for some reason and just like that the pain lessened, then faded completely. She closed her eyes for a moment to make sure it really was gone, then took a deep breath letting it out slowly. "I think it's over."

He watched her for a moment, listening to what she had to say and the motions she was making, the little indicators like the look in her eyes. Seemed that child that was using her as a habitat was causing her a bit of trouble but from the location she said he didn't think it too bad or threatening. Moving his hands down from her arms he rested his hands on her sides to feel things out. Though they didn't stay there long as she easily took matters into her own hands and stretched herself...and apparently relieving what was wrong.

Sevilin watched her a moment and then sighed lightly. "Good." She was able to handle it just fine apparently. He didn't know how he felt about that. "Better then?" Moving his hands from her but placing one on her back and pushing her gently toward the fortress. "Malik's right, we should head inside." A look over his shoulder and a whistle, only to have Nym climbing up his braid a few moments later to his shoulder.

Her body had tensed the moment his hands had taken to warndering but she reprimanded herself, reminding her relfexes that he was just playing his part. HIs hands left her quickly, which she was more grateful for than she could possibly express. To the fortress with them then. She nodded, taking another deep breath. "Much." Allowing him to guide her towards the fortress she didn't head foreward to fast to dislodge his hand but let it remain there if he wished it to and walking. "That was a little odd. I don't think I've ever had that happen before. It almost felt like it got stuck somewhere." Was that possible? She didn't know, all she knew was it would not bother her one bit if it never happened again. "You don't think Kimmuriel means to do what he was talking about? Destroy all the other places on the plane?" Malik reminded her that Arthur was waiting for her and she mentally calculated how much time he'd been down there. Not too overly long really. He could wait a bit longer.

Malik for his part walked upstairs, and got his armor off, back into his regular clothes, and took a careful look at Piper.

"How are you feeling? and don't worry about that princling. He's just bored adn looking to find some kind of excitement."

Then another look.

"How do you feel about helping the Purians with food if they need it?"

He wasn't ignorant to her tensing but he didn't mention it either. Merely nodded to her as she agreed to what him and Malik suggested in rather easy fashion. Made him take another look at her...she seemed more...mellow and comliant since she came back from Andal. Which of course he found odd because that plane was high strung, but then again he was bias against it and everything in it or from it.

"Not uncommon...shifting, kicking, sometimes kicks can feel like things getting lodged until feet are retracted and what not." He gave a little shrug, hey he'd heard it all before. "I didn't know you were feeling things yet." But his attention easily faded from his own out loud musings to her questions. "I don't put anything beyond Kimmuriel..."

Rolling over to her back she propped herself on her elbows as Malik came back in, dropping his more defensive means and turning to her own well being. "I'm alright, just a little nauseaous." Though a nod about Tarathiel. "Good to see you taking him so well this time...though I do hope his boredom doesn't include random destruction of our property." Piper blinked at him though on his other question. "I don't see any harm in it, after all, we have more than enough for us and ours. Besides...always helps to have others on our side and they're half elves to boot."

And once again Sevilin showed how much more knowledgeable he was about this than she. It was kind of strange if one thought about it that he should know more than her but she didn't question it. They reached the front door and she passed through, shrugging. "It just recently started happening. The first time I felt a kick, I suppose it would be, was earlier when Nym came to see me in the library." That brought on a chuckle, "Scared the little fuzzball too." She rested a hand briefly on her stomach but dropped it just as quickly and turned to watch him come through teh door as well. So...what now? "I...should go meet Arthur..."

"Kimmuriel was never a danger or problem. it's his methods and tactics I disapprove of. but with Lloth's presence in this plane gone, most of the drow world is in civil war...if that hasn't finished yet. but this party invitation thing...that is interesting. I've been keeping a food embargo on Deepwater from every source I have influence over, and he invites me to a party."

A nod to her.

"Nausea? is it potion related, you think? and yes, we'll send some supplies to the purians. if nothign else, they are they most local neighbors, and having more allies is always good. maybe train them a bit better though then stone axes and wooden spears."

Sevilin merely watched her a moment. "Oh well..." Hm...this was awkward a bit wasn't it? But then he chuckled lightly. "Things like that usually do...he does have a tendency to spook easily. A blink at how she touched at her stomach and then dropped quickly as if she was trying to not do it at all. Yes...things were getting a bit odd. Though it seemed she was sparing them both. "Right...better go...on then..." Yeah...he had other things to do anyway. Like location hunt and try not to worry about Tarathiel. Though then he remembered what they had been dicussing and that he didn't know the answer to that discussion. "Zahara...don't do anything foolish."

"His methods are more worthy of a stronger word. Disapproving is what you feel when a child does somthing you told them not to even when they know better." However raised eyebrow...she had missed the tail end of the conversation, seeing as her body wanted to revolt on her then. "Party...." Invited to a party, delivered by Tarathiel...yes that was an interesting thing indeed wasn't it? "Ill intent you think?" After all, Malik had that point. But she merely sighed again, brushing her hair from her face some. "I don't know anymore A'mael, it all kind of runs together...could be potion, could be food poisioning, could be something else." Whatever it was she wasn't happy when she was feeling like this.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 10, 2006 7:46 pm

"I doubt it. he was playing mesenger for Jiscal. But how about if that's the case, lay off the potion for a few days. see if we can narrow it down to two out of three possibilities."

Then a slight grin.

"Besides, ill intent..no human guard will survive me weaponless or not. and trained by Tarathiel or not."

He may of grinned but she frowned lightly at him, giving that rather serious look. "Your kidding right? Six months of putting my body through all of this and apparently finally getting it where it needs to be and you want me to stop just because I feel nauseous? It's not like it's new..." She just didn't want to be put back at square one and face horrible frusration...it upset her. But a sigh, latching to his latter sentence. "True...are you suggesting we go then?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 10, 2006 8:24 pm

"Because morning sickness is a potential sign of pregnancy. that's why. and we know that potion works completely, so it's not back to square one if we find it's a false alarm. you flush and you giggling are the signs of spiked fertility rates. Kieran told me that when I was questioning him about Fianna being like that."

A slight grin.

"As for going to this little party...I don't know. I'll have to find out more about this. I don't think Jiscal woudl just send me an invitation without some ulterior motive due to my trade embargo."

She didn't have to leave just yet but stalling required her to come up with an excuse, either to stay or just to keep him talking. They should just part ways, let her go on and meet Arthur and him to...whatever it was he needed to do, but she couldn't. She didn't want to leave and while she wouldn't admit it out loud she didn't want to end the camaraderie they'd seemed to have found between them. It was kind of nice not fighting. That fact surprised her as well. Ever one for a battle or knock down, drag out fight she found the new peaceful arrangement a bit startling and yet pleasing at the same time. Many things were changing, least of all her body and the child growing inside. Her eyes lifted to meet his and she saw not a warning in his eyes but caution. Fighting would be classified as foolish, wouldn't it? She couldn't resist asking, "And if I do?" The 'what are you going to do about it or to me?' rested clearly in the challenge in her eyes.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 11, 2006 9:34 am

Oh...well that accounted for the flushing and the giggling...now the question was why didn't she know that? Probably because no one really thought she needed to know, or they assumed she did. She barely finished her formal education, it was plausible that she was missing some things in certain areas. So being hot, flushed, and giggly was good...no wonder they kept watching her. "Yes but who's to say how that spike will fall and how fast and then how soon it will get back up." Yes, she was being overly paranoid about this...hey it was kind of a lot of pressure on her part. "Besides, I have ways to test for that." Seeming two steps forward and really taking three back wasn't a pleasing thing to think about in this situation. Let's redirect, "Well I don't think I'd consider setting foot in there unless you did poke into it. I mean since when are elves free to come and go from Deepwater, even after all that has happened, let alone us who have a reputation. Why did we get invited anyway?"

"You'll find out if you wish to walk that path, now won't you?" What would he do to her? He had done a lot of thinking around the last three months, and he had learned some things. Yelling did not work with her...so why would he yell? He wouldn't. He knew now how to get messages across to her, after going through in his head a few scenarios. But he wasn't going to give away his game just yet.

The drow princeling sighed, as he re-entered the chambers of Jiscal. "They got an invitation, but do to their tardy reaction time, they lost several guards."

"Why do you kill everything you touch?" Jiscal asked in return to that statement of carnage.

"Well, They'd try an wait me out probably, hoping I'd just leave before bothering to address me..." The drow shrugged. "Just wait til he finds out I killed all his out-of-tower contacts... That'll get him rilled... To be honest though, I can't take the credit for that."

"Yes yes, you mentioned that the orcs stormed most of the outlaying ports from here to Dragnon because they were hording food and fresh water." Jiscal replied, "Which is why they marched around here, because we have neither."

"That's a lie." THe drow chuckled. "Well Puppet, I've got some work to do to stave off my bordom. People to kill, places to burn, things to steal." The drwo shrugged, "Wouldn't want you old surface folks to think that you were safe down here. Then, you'd ne'er try to leave."

"So you're killing everyone to get us to move back to the surface?"

"Why is it that the human world gets a free ride off the ardous labour of the Drow? IF we hadn't killed everything down here when we came, there'd be no room for you."

"If drow were so great , how did we survive the voyage down here?"

"There were six million of you before the world ended, maybe a few hundred thousand got down here. Elves, hobbits, humans and all." He smiled, "Where do you think the rest went?"

"They died on the surface."

"Sure they did." The drow waved away the comment.
