The keyword thing- that's what I mean about Shinigami. It might just be my
fangirl side coming out, but I mean, it's a perfectly good word! Why
have the need to translate it? They didn't translate Bankai into "Final Release"
or somesuchcrap like that......

Dubbing is re-voicing something, usually because of translating to another language, or to take out cuss words so it can be rated low enough to be put on TV.
Subbing is putting in subtitles.
Don't you hate it when an anime has American characters, and they speak in American, but really, they're just speaking really bad Engrish, and so subtitles have to go up anyways? sweatdrop

Pailzor Either you're mixing up dub and sub, or you like crappy voices.
Dubbing is re-voicing something, usually because of translating to another language, or to take out cuss words so it can be rated low enough to be put on TV.
Subbing is putting in subtitles.
Don't you hate it when an anime has American characters, and they speak in American, but really, they're just speaking really bad Engrish, and so subtitles have to go up anyways? sweatdrop
Apparently my mind works in a way that screws with my wording of things so badly-
people can't understand what the Hell I mean sometimes.

I meant I used to watch the dubb a lot until I watched a subbed episode on
youtube, and realized how badly the US fk'd it up. Then I just read the manga.
I usually end up laughing my a** off at those.
I really like this one anime- BECK, too. The graphics are so awesome
but when the VA's spreaka engrish, I have to pause it so I can stop
laughing. They sound drunk. xB

I borrowed some of the Naruto dub from Sara,
and it turned me off Naruto all together. Dx
English in Japanese anime= BADDDD. 0.o"

Still though, I cringe a lot.
Its worse when the subbers assume that people
can understand said horrible engrish and don't put up
subs for those parts.
