Kazuhiko shook his head. "I sorta was." he answered, sighing. "But you forget, even if I was meant to BE immortal, I was born mortal. One day, I want to be able to rest. I don't want to outlive absolutely everyone dear to me like Kit-Kat... Look how it's made her!" he sighed, deeply vexed. "And what if I have a wife and kids like Mum and Da one day----can I??" he held his head in his hands, closing his eyes tightly. "THEY won't be immortal either! That means I'm never going to have friends, really, because they're always going to leave and I'm always going to be alone!"
He was nearly in tears now, utterly depressed. "I don't belong in either of these worlds." he pulled his little kimono over his head, sighing deeply. "I'm not supposed to be immortal. Herne's not supposed to be immortal. How come I am??"

(((OOC: Sorry... I spent the entire day at the hospital. My mom had, they think, a heart attack, but a mild one. She's okay now, just there overnight for observation. I finally just got home...)))

He actually died the night of my birht, and so I have only known him in death. But he was a prince of his little human tribe and so I grew up with both elves and humans. I have seen the great-grandchildren of younger cousins grow old and die. I do not think I could have been able to bear it without my mother, or my wife, who was my Boline. Marry, Kazuhiko. Marry and have children. Surround yourself with life. It can and will hurt, but it is far better than being alone. As for me, I decided that the ruleship of the Fianna was not for me and I passed the mantle to my eldest son when mother stepped down from the throne. I left our islands. My father and his people were quite the explorers and I felt a wanderlust in me. So I, my wife, and several of both Fianna and my father's tribe went with me. We finally settled in what is now called North America and started a great tribe of our own."

Kazuhiko frowned, crying. "But they're all going to die anyhow! What's the point??" he sighed deeply. "I'm the only one like this! There aren't any others like me.. I don't have a Boline like you. I'm... I'm meant to be alone. I don't want to do it. I don't want to be the Hunter anymore. I have no friends and I've only been alive for a few months, there's nothing but fighting around me, and I just hate it. I hate it all. The only friends I have I can't touch and no one else can see and I just hate it, I hate it...!" he choked. "If, if being the Hunter, means, means that I'm always going to be alone, I don't want it!"
Kaguyo thought for a while, nodding. "Between the two of us, it shouldn't be hard..." she agreed quietly. "I hope they still accept me, however..."
She hadn't exactly made herself a favorite among the masses with the two conflicting speeches. She knew by now the rebellion's failed 'rescue' would be spreading through the streets, and the housing of citizens might prove risky.
Perhaps they'd have to go on a bit of a tour.

Kaguyo nodded, but she was starting to drift to sleep. "Hai, hai..." she agreed. "We'll address them first thing tomorrow.... Aishiteru, Su-kun... Oyasumi." she kissed his cheek. "Aishiteru..."

She fell asleep not too soon after that.
But Kaguyo had been right; the masses were restless, now, and the sudden shift between leaders had caused a lot of worry.
The next day wouldn't be very kind to them, as they would realized in the morning when one of Aoki's aides was standing over them with a gun.
"Don't move." he smirked slowly, Kaguyo's hand clenching Ainsu's immediately. "Aoki-sama said you would do this. Your disloyalty is disappointing, Ainsu... I'm surprised you even allow that whore in your bed."
Kaguyo glared, the wind picking up quickly... but the man fired off a warning shot, missing her by a little less than an inch.
"Now, now... He should be back any minute now. When Itachi returns---which she will, of her own accord, after all she needs to serve the Ou---we'll have a proper coronation. I'm sure Aoki-sama has plans for traitors of your sort..."

Ainsu did not move.
Granted the man was sitting up, but he was staring into the eyes of the aid.
"Let me guess... stole that out of Watari's store room?" the playwright asked. "Do you really think Aoki's strong enough to take the throne? Not to mention foolish enough?"
He gave off an air of confidence...

The aide smirked. "Perhaps you should ask him yourself. Aoki-sama! Perhaps now is the time to show yourself, hmm?"
He didn't focus on Ainsu so much as Kaguyo, already knowing she was the weaker of the two. She wouldn't be able to power up quick enough to deflect it from this close of range.
Controlling her was the way to control Ainsu, after all.
She didn't speak or move a muscle, save her one hand clenching Ainsu's arm. If she were seperated from him...
She just didn't want to think about that.

Ainsu smirked slightly, "It's never good to rely on others!" the playwright shouted, his ki flaring before diving at the aide.
If his enemy got off a shot, Ainsu's burned arm was there, between Kaguyo and harm's way, and ready to take the hit for her.

Actually, the aide had missed, but he had greater plans in mind.
Kaguyo had leapt to her feet, raising her ki so she could help him. She was starting to send ice-spikes his way; if he'd been in Watari's lab...
"I'm checking on Watari-kun!" she shouted, before dashing out into the hallway.
She turn the small turn into the lab--they were basically right next to eachother, anyhow--and started looking around for the scientist, or anything that could help her.
"Watari-kun?!!" she shouted, wide-eyed, "Watari-kun?! Daijoubu ka?!"

"Nani, Kaguyo-chan?" came Watari's voice from the closet.
But he wasn't trapped in there.
By no means.
The scientist was just getting out a few extra slides for his microscope.
Meanwhile...
Ainsu's ki was raising drastically... and Aoki was opting not to appear.
"Seems your all alone."

Kaguyo shook her head. "Aoki's aide stole a gun from here." she answered, "I, I think Aoki's here... I need you to try and get a transmission out to Po-ar." she found her whips, getting ready to sprint back to Ainsu's aid. "Tell him we need help, we're not mad at him, but things are going downhill fast."

"Chotto matte!" Watari replied in surprise and shock. "I can't send any transmission's to Earth right now. There's a heavy massing of dark matter between Tarnbsei and Earth at the moment... all transmissions will be lost in the void."
