"I've always wanted to visit Ireland," Cody said, thoughtfully. "Dari says he's going to take me places," he smiled at the thought. There was a quiet enthusiasm there. "I've never been out of the country."
He looked to Dari. "Because I'm going to eat the other half," he said. "Whoever stops first loses." But what the prize was, he didn't say.

Danny's eyes rolled up as he thought. "My clan's been in... England, France, Italy, Ireland, and the US. At least, that's as far as I know."
Dari didn't comment on how he remembered perfectly. "Oh? Is the idea speed or endurance?"

"Really? Dari and I are planning on visiting England sometime," Cody smiled. "Which was your favorite place to live?"
"Endurance," He said. If they ate too fast, he was bound to get a stomachache. He knew he'd lose; he'd challenged an alien who could eat ceramic and be fine. "Danny can be the judge," he added, so as to not exclude the vampire. "Make sure he doesn't cheat," he teased. "Are you ready?" He asked.

"Oh, I've only lived in Ireland and the US," Danny said, "They're not as different as people think, but different enough. I prefer it here." Then he laughed. "Cheat? I mean, you've seen the real Dari, right?" He knew he had, but Cody was definitely going to lose.
"Absolutely," Dari said, and took his first slice of pizza. He bit it defiantly. Cody was up to something, obviously. Dari was going to win, no doubt. He was going to play the game, though, perhaps because he had spent too long with Toby.

"He always cheats," Cody said, matter of factly. He was clearly teasing, though. "He could eat an entire lake and everything in it, that's cheating." He grinned and shook his head. "You've got to keep an eye on him."
He picked up his piece, and gave Dari a grin. He took a bite. "There's a prize if you win," he promised. Again, he wasn't saying. He took another bite.

Danny laughed a bit awkwardly and raised a brow. Uhhh. Was he involved in some kinky s**t right now?
"It's not cheating, it's my biology," Dari defended. "You're the one who challenged me even though you know otherwise." He noted Danny's discomfort, though, and couldn't blame him. He did not eay especially quickly.
"So what's it like being in Arizona?" Dari asked.
Danny deflated a bit, but he was still smiling. "Warmer. Less people. Less green."
"It gets greener, I promise."
"Good."

Oh no, their guest was uncomfortable! Cody was glad when Dari changed the subject. Green... Some parts of Arizona were more desert, and some parts greener, it depended on where Danny was staying. "Have you been to the lake yet?" He asked.
"It's really nice there, I mean... The sun--...we could take you at night?" He suggested. "You can see the stars really well out there, there isn't any light pollution."

"No, I haven't really been much of anywhere," Danny admitted. "We've only been here a few weeks and we're still setting everything up. People wonder, of course, and it's a big house to set up. Nobody's really settled-in yet. I'll get around, though. I don't like sitting around home much. I prefer people."
"You aren't in anything at the moment?" Dari asked.
"No, not yet. I have other responsibilities first. There'll always be something."

It had to be hard, moving so many people at once. He nodded in understanding. He gave Danny a smile. "Once you're all settled, you should come see things with us," he invited.
"Do you have a play you'd especially like to be in?" Cody asked. He took a bite of his pizza, chewed, and swallowed. "Like a dream job--part?" Whatever it was called.

Danny nodded. Sure, he'd like to make new friends out here. It had been hard to leave the ones he'd had back in Philly. The chances of even meeting again on a national tour weren't very strong.
He smiled and waved a dismissive hand then. "Not really. They're all fun, you just have to let yourself get into them. Musical theatre wasn't really a thing when I was young, so I didn't grow up with anything in particular. I didn't even know how to dance when I started."
Dari smiled. "You do have a very artistic clan."
"Don't we?" Danny said with a grin, "The Master kind of went on a track of artsy folks after Julian, and even then, Julian's the one who dances!" David, though... he didn't do much of anything but murder and screw.

Oh... so he'd learned after he'd become a vampire? Cody nodded in understanding. Entities had to find ways to pass the time, too! They had more of it. He was glad they were using their talents for entertainment. "I was in a bunch of Shakespeare plays during Highschool," he wrinkled his nose, and grinned. "I was usually some guy who died."
"I think you should hear Dari sing," he said, thoughtfully. Maybe Dari would believe a professional? "Maybe when you come over?"

"Oh, me too!" Danny said and perked, "I mean, not the high school but the dying! They love killing the lovable ones! Who did you play?"
Dari chuckled. It seemed that his companions had found some common ground to bond over. Good. He had wanted Cody to see how unintimidating vampires could be. Of course they could murder you, but not all of them wanted to. It was the same as werewolves or ghosts or lake monsters, the same as any carnivorous entity.

"Claudius?" Cody shrugged. "I still can't pronounce his name. I hated that play, though. I think everyone in it died." He made a face. Hamlet had been his least favorites. "Do you do much Shakespeare?" He asked. "I was in Much Ado about Nothing, too, freshmen year. I didn't die in that one," he grinned.
He looked to Dari. "I'm going to take you to Shakespeare in the park this summer," he said. He'd invite Danny, too, but--would the sun bother him too much?

"You were in Hamlet!" Danny chimed, as if it was a great epiphany. Pretty much everyone did die there, but it was a tragedy. Death was to be expected. "I was in A Midsummer Night's Dream! Nobody dies in that one either. I mean, that doesn't mean it isn't pretty messed-up still, but..." He shrugged. "I do whatever I can get. Musicals are fun, but they're different. Sometimes just acting is nicer. It's harder, sometimes." Very different for sure. Musical actors could sometimes not make it on a straight stage, but he'd had a lot of practice.
"Alright," Dari agreed with a nod."

"I hated the costumes," Cody revealed with a grin. "All poofy and itchy." He paused and snickered when he heard which play Danny'd been in. "I had to read that in sophomore year, for English," he said. "The fairy queen falls in love with a donkey, doesn't she?" That'd been funny. He'd liked that one. "My drama teacher preferred tragedies," he said. "I never did any musicals, I don't sing."
He took a bite of his pizza and nudged Dari. "This one thinks I'm lying when I say he's talented."
