Iris was on one of the branches of the tree. She couldn't move.. she couldn't do anything but call out to Chris.

No...it's not my mind. This is called the Null Source. I...know that. From being in that crystal. But I don't know what that means.
*Chris was getting frustrated. He couldn't gain back control of the armor and he needed answers. Peering into another darkened crystal, Chris saw another corpse. If his lit crystal represented Razor...and all the darkened ones were corpses...*
I think this is where my body goes while I'm in the armor. The crystals represent amulets. The dark ones are inactive...there are corpses in them.
That means the red one is Razor and the blue one is Talon. Maybe I can get some answers at Talon's crystal. I promise I'll be back.
*Chris started towards the glowing blue crystal.*

*Dani climbed down the 'tree' to join Chris where he stood, she suited up with her Witchblade armor, since like Chris's armor she shared a host/symbiot relationship with it.*
*She made sure to hold on to his hand*

She follows Dani speeding up the tree even though some of the branches broke beneath her feet.
" Come on Chris. We can all do this... together"

*Chris's lip quivered at Dani's declaration.*
T-thanks.
*Chris cleared his throat. They,and Iris, approached the crystal and attempted to see inside. Blue mist swirled against the side.*
What now, Chris?
Not sure, Dani. Maybe knock?
*Chris reached out to knock on the crystal and suddenly they all fell through and were inside it!*
GAH! A SKRULL!
*Chris recognized the green alien lying at the bottom of the crystal. He definitely looked like he'd been through the wringer.*
Is he alive?
I think so?
Indeed I am, humans.
*Dani, Iris, and Chris screamed as one.*

Cassandra flew towards Talon and then quickly lassoed him.
" Hey you didn't forget about me did yah?!"
Cassie sent bolt after bolt of lighting at Talon.

Wallace frowned as he looked at the texts in hand. What was up with Hartley's family where his father wasn't there fretting over his mom? If something like that happened in his family, they'd all be together freaking out.
Taking a deep breath, he rolled off his bed and got on his feet. Well, if he was going to be without Hartley for a while, he might as well go find someone else to hang out with.

Wrong, Powell. Talon fears you and other humans. The Raptor armor is a devious device made eons ago. When the member of a species touches the amulet, they receive the urge to use it. This is the the trap...once they join into the armor, their mind and spirit are transferred here. The mind and spirit of a Raptor is sent to the armor. And the trapped souls become batteries powering the Raptors and their armor.
So no escape.
The armor was made for the old races of the galaxy. The Skrulls, the Kree, the Shi'ar...humanity is a young race. There is no trap in the amulets for humans. And Talon discovered something that truly frightened him. Although the armor was crafted for his Fraternity...humans exert better control over the armor that the Raptors could ever dream of.

*Talon writhed in pain as the electricity coursed through him. He need to get to his Razor. His brother's pain echoed through the Datasong and this damned witch had him trapped.
Talon's amulet glowed brightly and he unleashed a massive blast of energy at the human who was tormenting him.*

Iris lifted an eyebrow.
" So what you're saying is Chris can gain control of the armor... He can stop Talon."
Iris looks at the creature and then at Chris.
" Chris. We can win....but how?"

The blast knocked Cassandra into the ground as she yelled out in pain. Bruised but not yet beaten Cassie got up again.
" Bring it on!!!"

I dunno...how are humans so great?
Simple...the human mind is exceptionally adaptable. Couple that with a strong will and other emotions, the Raptor can be overridden easily. Talon know your bouts of anger...it's a side effect of your mind trying to master the amulet and the armor. Use your anger and your love and your friends here to strengthen you. You can rip Razor from your armor and send him to oblivion. And then you can do that same to Talon, just like he did to you.
*Chris looked at Iris and Dani.*
I'm sorry...I will fix this.

She ruffles his hair a little, giving him a smile and hoping he didn't give up hope again.

Wally's momentum took him halfway across the world before he could put on the brakes enough to come back to Hero High. By the time he got there, Talon was gone. He saw Cassie and ran over to her.
"Cassie! Are you okay?"!
