Kai smiled warmly at her, touching foreheads with Ryu and then walking away to do some more work in the kitchen. From Ryu's spot she couldn't see what she was doing because of a pony wall in the way, but you could tell she was still cooking on some things.

By the time Ryu finished up her soup, she was feeling much better. It did her good to have some food in her stomach after her "great up heaval". She stood and took her bowl to the sink and then turned to lean on the counter. She yawned and looked at Kai. "What are you up to?"

Kai smiled, winking at Ryu as she mixed up some batter. "This batter is 2 times thicker than normal, its hard to work with." Aka Ginger Bread Dough.

"Ahh so you're going to make me wait to find out?" She giggled. She watched Kai mix up the batter she had and smiled big. She couldn't help but stare.

"Of course. When your making baked goods you have to make people wait." She smiled towards her. "Or other wise it wont taste good becasue you ruined it by telling." She winked at her. "One of my best baking scerets. Hang on to it, its 100% full proff."

Ryu giggled again. "I'll remember." Suddenly, the emptiness she had all day was just completely gone. She felt warmer, more relaxed. She moved a bit closer to Kai. "I cant wait to see what you're baking. You soup was absolutely wonderful"

"My soup?" She questioned. She shruged. "It was alright, something I picked up from my family." She stoped the mixer that was going and added in some more flower before slowly starting it back up again so it wouldn't go everywhere. "My cooking is alright. At least no one has thrown up eating it yet." She chuckled lightly, her had at her mouth trying to cover it. "But everyone said that my talent was in my baking." She smiled up at Ryu. "Its really filling, ya know? To do something that other people love."
(This is big so I'm breaking it up ^^)
She looked back down to what she was doing, stoping the mixer and pulling the dough out and starting to keed it. "Around this time I always bake a ton and ton of stuff. And every year I try to think find out why I never have any left over. Some I sell, and use the money for x-mas gifts, or I give it away to the store Santas. I'll go to a different store each year with a bag full of money and give it to them. They get confused, but they're always happy for the donations. Then what I don't sell goes out to my family and thinks for our gatherings and alot to teachers and people who have really helped me though the past."
Her eyes seemed to glow with warm and happiness as she looked back up, starting to roll out the dough. "Then again, maybe I'm just making people fat with goods." She chuckles at herself. "But they love it every year, so I keep on doing it. Its one thing I know I'm actually good at, so I keep doing it. Theres no better feeling knowing I can give in return what people have given to me even if its something entrly different."

Ryu smiled. "Yah. It's nice that you donate the money you earn from your baking." She looked at Kai. "I donate what I can from time to time, but I rarely have the money for anything, let alone donate." She paused. "You're a good person Kai.." She smiles at her again.

She looked to her, blushing lightly. "Thanks..." She finishes rolling it out. "Most of my money froms from baking or summer jobs, other wise my mom pays for everything."

"Hmm yah. I'd like to meet your mom one day." she giggles. "You've met my mom and I haven't even come close to seeing your mom I dont think."

"Good luck then." She walks across the kitchen, digging though a deep drawer. "But if you'd like to come spend some of the hoildays with us you can." She pulled out a ginger man cookie cutter. She walked back over setting it down and putting the dough in the fringe. "And of coures your mom can come as well. ^^"

Ryu smiled. "That would be good, since my stepdad is almost always working himself. I think that that would be a great idea. It'll give our mothers a chance to bond." She liked that idea for some reason. For some reason, she wanted so much for Kai to be apart of her life as if she were almost like family.

"Actually, I am for some reason. I think the soup helped me alot. And my shoulder blades dont hurt so bad." She had noticed that since her last nap her shoulder blade indeed werent as sore as they were earlier in the day.
