"'course." He tried to ignore the comment about going naked entirely. Maybe it wouldn't be unusual, but he wasn't really into the nudist thing. Time and place for clothes, and for lack there of. Right now he figured he was done the working out in the sun thing, so the shirt could go back on.
Speaking of which, he still smelled. Didn't seem like this was the time to shower though, even if he felt bad considering he'd be sitting about in her room like so.
"...well... I'll just be a minute," he clapped a hand in her shoulder in passing, squeezing, and moved down to the room he'd flung his things out in. Something about just standing face to face at the top of the stairs felt sort of awkward. It just was tempting to put things off and stand there doing nothing, but Kalis didn't so much care for wasting time. Not when there were things to be done with it, anyhow.
He wouldn't be long, anyway. Kalis shrugged on the shirt that had been around his waist, buttoning it partway up and tucking it in, leaving the sleeves rolled up. Boots- better than sneakers. Gauntlets- better than empty hands. The waist pouch on his double belt, and the knife hung on.
He lowered the sword down across his back, turning the hilt up over his right shoulder, and let the lower part of strap drop. He attached it to the other end, securing carefully. Kalis yanked that leather jacket on over top of the blade, hoping wherever they were going wasn't so hot as here, and headed back over to Owle.

"Alright."
She smiled faintly at the touch on her shoulder, then watched with anxious eyes as he moved down the hallway. Oh, come on, Owle, no need to be so scared of just...falling asleep...
She shifted Rafe's shirt onto her, hoping it would help. It was a blue, baggy thing, and her hands got lost in the sleeves, but it was comfy enough to sleep in. Before long, she'd vanished into her room, and made her own preparations.
When he entered, he'd find her curled up on her bed, lying above the comforter on her side, arms and legs curled inwards. She sat right up when she heard him come through the door, looking startled by the sudden noise. When she saw it was him, though, she laid back down again.
"I never thought I'd have to fall asleep to help someone..." she sighed. "This just seems, too, weird, you think?"

And thus no sooner was he stepping into the room than he was bursting out laughter.
"I know what you mean," Kalis offered as chuckles subsided, settling into whatever seating was available beside the bed. On the edge of it if there wasn't anything else. "I wasn't figuring on you feeling that odd about it. Isn't this sort of thing just about normal for you?" Somewhere between the ex-goddess shapeshifter telepath thing with the whacky adventures and all she seemd to have adapted into quite a level headed sense of accepting just about anything.
Kalis figured he probably should have been a bit more used to the crazy stuff by now, but it still put him off. The best he could do even now was suspend logic and give the benefit of the doubt. Just try not to think about it.
Right now he was thinking about the idea of sleeping to save someone though. This particular idea he sort of liked. It made him chuckle.
"Anyhow, we're going somewhere that we think someone is?"

"Tch" The girl tsked at KB but she didn't exactly do anything. "Smile Sunstrike, it's not like he's going to eat you..." Yet was the girl's finishing thought. She moved a bit closer to the 'Salamander' man and smiled, only the curve of her lips being seen under the cloak of shadows...that and the scent of...apple pie? Talk about an odd combination.
"Don't forget KB, I want my turn with him.." And then depending on what KB decided, she'd either walk with them or stay -slightly- behind. But she was going to keep a close eye on KB no matter what.

On the overhang just above the entrance to the Firebrand sat a young woman with wet hair that struggled to blow in the wind and failed to do so quite miserably. Sitting cross-legged with a towel wrapped around oneself was never a good idea, but she seemed to have no problems with it - possibly because she was sporting blue and black spandex leggings that reached nearly to her knees.
With an elbow on her leg and a fist against her cheek, she watched as the small little group walked off - this just wouldn't do. What was going on, though...?

"This'll be rather quick, I assure you." KB promised solemnly. In trurth what he required of Sun would take considerable time, but in the meantime he'd have to settle with something lesser. The young man did have important things to do, much more important than sating some crazy old dead thing. "Walk with me." KB commanded, though it was much more the request.
Turning on a heel he'd begin the slow walk towards the beach, nose wrinkling against the stench of the water there. It disgusted him to be so close to the expanding sea, and it seemed in the minor twitches that he was visibly disturbed. "I do respect your busy... schedule. That being said, would it be too much to ask for a date?" KB would glance over his shoulder, to gauage Sun's reaction. "That we might find time to discuss things in further detail. I really don't want to drag you away from pressing matters." The girl might've thought differently, but KB was fairly relaxed about it all.

Sunstrike would follow both out to the seaside, not exactly calm with what the girl had said about her "time" with him, that sounded vaguely threatening...but probably more towards KB then anything else.
Although he had a little trepidation about the water, he wasn't hugely bothered about the stuff. Especially when he was on firm land. He'd fallen into it enough times to have a healthy respect, though.
"Date?" The mind wheels crunched to a halt and he tripped up a little, as he looked in shock at the blond haired vampire. "I..." Admittedly it was an interesting request, and a very unexpected one. Sun relaxed a little more and shook his head with a soft smile, even if he had turned a little red around the ears.
"I don't want to be rude, KB, but I can't. Truthfully, I'm not single..." No. He wasn't. And although he'd gone out to solve this business by himself, it was fairly rare that the salamander was on his own.
"I don't mind just conversing as friends or having a little get together for lunch or something, but there's no further that I can go...you understand, right?" Sun didn't want to lose a friend, he'd sooner lose an arm, but there were boundaries here that he couldn't afford to cross.

KB chuckled to himself, seemingly unable to draw his eyes from the cesspool before him. The sea was such a disgusting thing to behold, so vast and unclean. "Now now, you might be cute but flattering yourself...? Well, it just doesn't suit you." KB chastised, cutting off another chuckle before it could start. He loved to keep the boy running around in circles, and much more so basking in the heat of his blushes. Making the boy run headfirst into a conversational pitfall was simply another coy way of teasing him. "
"When I say date, I mean it in the most platonic way possible. After all, 'meeting' sounds a little too formal for a couple of friends sharing a cup of coffee, and 'rendevous'? Well, we're not commiting adultery." KB paused, finally staring Sun in the eye as he reached out to tap the tip of the young man's nose. "Are we?" He asked with a devious smirk, his stare breaking only to alert the girl that he was finished, for the moment.
Right hand twitching, KB allowed for the girl her pleasures. The urge to gut the lizard on the very beach was almost impossible to resist, palpable waves of a feral hunger roiling from his form. The hunger for the lesser one's blood was as beastial as KB's hunger for Tijae had been, spurred further by the proximity of the dripping slab of meat. KB nearly salivated at the very notion of tearing into the meal, the scent of seawater infuriating him. Why had Sunstrike chosen the damn ocean of all places...

The blush darkened his cheeks now.
"No. No..."
Ah. He'd misunderstood again.
Oblivious to how much trouble he was in, he grinned and nodded in embarassment. It didn't take that great a leap to consider himself unattractive, or even undesireable. Which was probably why he was blind to most come on's, or mistook requests for dates.
"Sorry for the misinterpretation." He thought about it, placing his hands in his pockets and looking up...exposing most of his neck. He didn't leave it there long, though it did add a layer to the temptation for a bite. Looking back down with his mind made up, he gestured.
"I'm sure we could figure out a time for it, obviously looking for Tijae is pretty important, now, but," If we all come back alive...
"Sometime in the near future, I should find out for certain if she's okay."

Owle blinked, and stared at him for a minute, before chuckling herself. She wasn't laughing because she understood the joke, but laughter was contagious; she couldn't help it.
There was a single chair in the room. It seemed to belong to a small desk that had been shoved in the corner. Simple, rough, but easy enough to drag out and turn to face the bed.
"Well...not really," she answered, to his question about normalcy. "I mean, going into the god realms to save somebody isn't weird at all. Having to fall asleep to get there, though..." She waved an arm helplessly. "Is."
She sat up further, leaning against the headboard, shifting into a much more comfortable position.
"Yeah...Tijae, this girl Sunstrike had left behind in my care - I may have mentioned her - vanished. She was taken away from Rafe, by these two gods of nightmare...as far as I know, they're still holding her there."

The young woman on the overhand wasn't sure if she should be confused or agitated by what she was watching. At first she was positive that he was in trouble... and now he was being asked out? It was like one of those video games RPGs with a dating sim thrown into it for kicks.
Letting out a short sigh, she swept the towel up to her hair to dry it off. She wasn't wearing a top, but conveniently placed strands of hair covered up anything naughty in an anime sort of way. After a few moments she turned around, towel across her shoulders, and took a few steps towards the wall now in front of her, making a few bounds up to an open window. She might as well get dressed if nothing was going to happen.

Postponing disbelief until later, once more. Then again, he did have to remember who he was talking to.
"Well, yeah, that's sorta what I was asking..." Kalis started, "...where exactly is 'there'?"
He didn't really remember Tijae... well, he was pretty certain she was right, she had probably mentioned it to him. It simply wasn't ringing any bells was all. Rafe he recalled, but not this. "And who exactly does it make this child..." he started on after, assuming that any girl who was in someone's care, much less being transfered between wouldn't be an adult. After all, it wasn't as though Owle was much of a body guard. Not unless you were expecting exclusively mental assualt, anyway. "That she'd been in Sunstrikes care, yet gods would abduct her?"

"That I don't know," Owle answered. "It's...a plane of existence where the gods dwell. I've heard it called hell, but there's so many notions of hell that it seems like a silly name. It's a place that isn't...entirely reachable by physical means, near as I can tell.
"I'm not...really sure," Owle answered his second question. "She used to be a deity of air and darkness, and got kicked out, apparently...I don't know how she came to be with Sunstrike. Rafe took a liking to her, though, while she was here, and he's been taking care of her...I think his brothers abducted her just to make him suffer.
"They don't like him, very much," she added helpfully.

Kalis sat taking it all in for a moment.
"Called hell... so... is it hot?"
He had a straight face. Completely. He was being serious.
Once she had answered that and the issue of what sort of an enviorment he was going into was completely out of the way, he'd carry on to things that were probably more importat. Though, he didn't really like the idea of wearing the leather jacket in a place that was full of fire and brimstone. That would just be... unpleasant.
"Anyhow... that explains why, I guess. They were giving you and him trouble after all. This way they get three for one, or something." It made him all the more curious as to why a diety was being babysat by the red head, but apparantly they didn't have the answer, and who knew if it would have helped anyway.
"If you're bringing muscle along though, I imagine you're not expecting the most pleasant reception.
"Is that who we're supposing we'll have to fight? Nightmare gods?"
Sounded easy enough. Wasn't like he slept much during battle.

"Um...no. Pretty mild, actually. Lots of rivers," Owle answered, looking at him like he was crazy. Which was ironic, if you thought about it.
"And...no, I'm not," she admitted. "Half of them wanted to kill me already, and Nyx and the others had only helped me before because I was helping Rafe...I don't know if they'd help me, now that Rafe's...walked off. Hell, Oberion is like to want to kill me again. But, yeah...nightmare gods, shapeshifters from what I can tell. Possibly Thanatos, but he's an a**. And not all that smart."
