I just have a copy of the 40k Fluff Bible. Could I possibly get a copy of your race-specific one? They don't go into super-fine detail on anything, and it's still 200 pages. Lol.

Da Humiez wailed to da Shiny Chair, n' da Shiny Chair sent da best fightas in da Humie worlds to fight wit Da Boyz. So did Da Boyz first meet da Beakies, 'n all was good cuz Da Boyz got to fight sumthin proper on da WAAAAGH."

Sinrus the Great Listen, I was thinking about naming my army the Trillionz. I am asking for advice with color schemes. I'd base it on whichever klan you go with. I'm not sure what the name means, or how it applies to the army, so perhaps that would help?

FlashbackJon Well, that would be logical, but... Why? A name like Trillionz can have an intimidating effect upon enemies. (All orky logic of course). As for a klan, the Trillionz would be their own.

Sinrus the Great FlashbackJon Well, that would be logical, but... Why? A name like Trillionz can have an intimidating effect upon enemies. (All orky logic of course). Right... but how does it apply, other than there are a lot of them? There's always lots of Orks - what sets your apart from others? Also worth noting is that the Orks don't have a concept for the word "trillion" - any number higher than five is classified as "lots" or "loadz." Quote: As for a klan, the Trillionz would be their own. Just not a big fan of that, I suppose. There's certainly support in the canon for it, most of the time it just doesn't make sense. How did yours come to be "klan-less"?

I have my own clan of boyz. I have yet to come up with a cool name. It keeps changing. But, the mind set is a mix between Freebooters ( Everyone is welcome to join Da Klan) and the Deathskullz (Loot everything!)

You're think of a tribe or warband, I think, bound together under a single boss. In second edition, tribes contained units from many klans, but this was not the case in Rogue Trader, and they 'fixed' it again in 3rd.
Klan/clan refers specifically to a genetic predisposition towards a certain behavior, characterized by the six main klans (although both and old and new fluff suggest the possibility of smaller, lesser known clans). As such, it's really difficult to claim that you have your 'own.' Gorbob the Goff isn't going to go off and start his own klan - he's just going to explain to everyone else in no uncertain terms that HIS Goff warband is the BEST Goff warband.
Freebooters have the distinction of being outcasts in a society that doesn't cast out anyone. Usually this means that they're something wrong with them. I've theorized in the past that Orks that don't produce the same psychic energy as those around them - or an energy that doesn't quite 'jive' with his compatriots - ends up destined to be a freebooter.
