after a while, araina finally said something. with a serious face, she said. "you know, at a time like this, i really would love to have a british ship to blow up... it would make me feel better..." then she laughed.

Natasha's eyes twinkled mischievously.
"We could make my brother send one over..."
She began to write a short letter, instructing her brother that she wanted him to send a ship to come and collect her but he was not to come himself unless he wanted to be killed by any of her friends. She then whistled and a small orange bird...resembling a phoenix but without the flames...rested on her shoulder. She tied the note to the bird's leg and it flew off.
"...my brother's extremely gullible, he'll think that I really mean it."
She smiled, watching as the bird flew in the direction of Port Royal.
"Amber's one of my oldest friends."

"I know exactly what you mean."
A small flame danced in her palm as she grinned.

Kibo scratches his head, wondering whether to ask that one question that would either make Araina want to kiss him or stab him in the stomach. He wouldn't let either happen, but he had seen both reactions being played out, and he always feared the latter would occur.
Kibo: You know, you don't have to say goodbye just yet. You don't have to regret never saying that you love her that one last time.

"No..." Aubry said flat out. her fire dimmed. "and who said that i never said i loved her?" she gave Kibo a cold stare. she got up, smiled, and left the bar.

Kibo was blocking the entrance. He hated when people misunderstood his words, whether it was a simple accident, like Araina, or purposeful, like Storm.
Kibo: But you haven't told her you loved her knowing that she loved you back? Trust me, it's a completely different phrase. The inflections, the meanings, and the feelings involved; all are different. It's like the difference between the phrases "The sky is blue" and "There is a fish in the water."
((Well, see ya'll when I get back from FL!))

"I've never let him bring my parents back so I could talk to them, I've sworn to kill him if he does."
She smiles,
"But it's pretty easy for him to find the spirits...so you could talk to your mother again...one last time."

"That's similar to how I feel. But my parents would probably disown me for becoming a pirate and ask about my brother."

"We're very similar...but our backgrounds are almost complete opposites. You were raised here in Tortuga...whereas I was raised in Port Royal."
