Marcus looked to Nav. Another hard luck story. Damn he was sick of hearing these. They were a dime a dozen these days with the war and all. not to say that they were any less important but he had become numb to each and every one of them. It'd take an extrodinary one to get him to even look uncomfortable. The entire time she spoke, he sat in his neutrual faced position, completly uncaring. He even, at one point, reached up and started cleaning out his ears as the girl spoke.

WHen done, he sighed, "Yea well, whatever you say. You can't just go around pretending to not have started form somewhere but, if that gets you through the day then, whatever is whatever. You gotta get out there and find your own adventures. You say theres nothing to do around ehre well why not do some missions? Theres friggin stockpiles of them thanks to the war. Or why not help with the restoration? Or maybe just go sooth some of the refugees. You lost your mom to regular shinobi life I take it. Well some of these refugees have never even lifted a kunai and they've lost everything and been forced from their home. SO excsue me if I don't shed a tear or play a song for you."

That was probably a bit mean and he'd fix it later...more than likly at any rate but still, he sighed. He then heard someone call for Elruda...the Hyuuga girl. He grinned as he looked to the direction of the voice and gripped Elruda's arm and pulled her close. A stuffed animal and a small child...yes that's what image this would conjour up as Marcus held the girl like a doll, "NO! You can't have my Elly!"

He sounded like a kid but eventurally let her go and burst out laughing.

"What's gas pow-ah-ed?" Elruda looked up curiously. "So strange...okaa-san's flute didn't run on gas... (expression: O.o)" Actually, Elruda had accidentally ignored the fact that the two instruments were in two totally different categories. Someone called her name...so strange... Hadn't she forgotten to tell Marcus-san and his cousin...? Didn't sound like Wrath-sensei, either. Oh well.

"TET-TA!" An angry roar shook the foundations of the curry shop. A Hyuuga waitress stormed from the kitchens, momentarily expertly spinning a cooking pan by its handle, before the said pan took flight, which made it's mark dead on the back of Tetta's skull. Well...strictly speaking, the iron pan was flung spinning from the kitchens, so the handle actually hit Tetta first, followed by the full brunt of the steel container. Kami-sama knows the wise never underestimate women...especially not dangerous ones from Hyuuga.

"Think you can escape, huh!" More of a statement rather than a question... Roxanne was doing her best to repress throttling that idiot kid right here and now. How dare he. Nephew or not, bringing up mention of the very incident which caused Yokou-sama so much pain!

Wait a minute...

A child with dark-blue hair, almost purple...though shorter than she had remembered... The same pearly, wide eyes...which used to sparkle with innocent mischief looked curiously at her. And most important of all, an amulet of amber crystal drops, with an ivory yin-yang piece above. An heirloom necklace Yokou-sama had given to the heiress.

"E-elruda-hime...?" The arm dangerously wielding the cooking pan (she picked it up after it made it's mark) went limp at her side.

Kei entered the cafe, slowly but surely... Things had gotten very boring without either her big brother or her boyfriend around... wherever they may possible be... So she just did her time at the hospital, attempted to train, and walked around aimelessly, head in the clouds, as usual. Then came the time of day, or night, whatever you want, when she just had to get something to eat... and what better place than the famous Tai Tou Cafe? Scanning the booths, and tables, she didn't seem to find a spot that was... away from other people... Then someone familiar was sitting off by the bar with another girl and a man who was hugging the other girl.. "Nav..? Is that you...?"

Nav didn't mind the nasty remarks. At least it taught her to be less depressed. "I just am trying to look on the brighter side. It hurts to be depressed. I still know that I have a mother, and who knows. Maybe someday I will have a father, but what I do call family is my friends and cousins who stay at my side. If that is what family is like. I don't expect tears or songs because they show a sad emotion letting themselves feel the same pain as one another. So I'd rather just see a happy smile and friends hugging each other and acting weird like friends do. I don't ever want to feel sad again but that's hard to stop. But lets move on with our lives for now and I guess a mission or something sounds good. Nice talking with you and your new kage ship. Just don't let it get to your head. " Navalie said and laughed. But a familiar voice of an old pal made her grin. "Kei! It's been forever. How have you been? Heh, This day keeps getting weirder. Ha, New kage's name is Mucus. No wait. Marcus. " She said and hollered across the table to Marcus. "Naw, Just playing with ya. Don't worry, I know you'll get me later. " She said and laughed again.

Quickening her pace, Kei made her way to Nav. "It has been forever, and I'm doing fine... for now... heh... " A small smile could be seen on her face, though it was rare to have been done. Nav's next comment took Kei by surprise, and she showed it... along with a twinge of sadness. "Well, I guess they didn't take too long to replace her, eh... " She turned to the unfamiliar man, who was now the new Kage of their village. "My name is Areno, Kei... as a Shinobi of the Village hidden in the stone, I am now at your service... As long as I don't have to do anything stupid." She yried to add a bit of humor into her tone, though being funny was never really her forte... Bending abck up from her bow she smiled again at Nav. "So... what's going on here, I haven't seen you in so long... where have you been?"

((Still haven't thought that out. >.> Hm, She did a examination of the destroyed ruins of her mothers assassination and went off to Kiri to train her mind and body?! I guess that works. I got to weave her papa back in. Makes no sense to just say he is back yet >.> ))

Nav listened in on Kei's response. "Aw, Wheres your sense of humor?! " Navalie said and continued on to say "Uh. . . I went on an examination of my mothers assassination and then quickly headed off to Kiri to train myself a bit and learned a bunch of ways to help calm my mind. " Nav soon found herself thinking a bit about somebody she had seen, with a different potential and style but close to the same. Same age, different level. One white one black. Complete opposites yet the same. The girl she met in Kiri was a blurred image but a friend who had life easy and normal. She couldn't think of the name but it would soon come to her.

((I hope that's okay for Carlos. Hmm do I want her papa there as a small side character?! Heh, The character that is in her mind is my Academy student in Kiri. Note the signature. ))

Kei smiled and then made her face dull and boring. "My sense of humor? It flew out th window and over the rainbow... along with my last shred of sanity..." Her face turned back into a smile as she sat up in a chair on the opposite side of her and listened to what she'd been doing over the past two years. "That sounds like fun... I want to travel somewhere... It sounds nice... Now only if this war didn't exist, ya know... then I probably could, but whatever... Tis not the safest season..."

( eek I want a siggy!)

A disguised Wrath had followed Elruda into the cafe, as an elderly man by Henge, while Sakeme continued to fool around with the girl that looked like her. He had stayed on Elruda's trail to be sure she would be safe, she was his pupil. As the other girl meant nothing to him. She had only been an annoyance to him since the genin exams. However they way things were going with the two of his companions, everything seemed over dramatic. However the old man had taken a seat close by to listen better.

Ahhhhh the hussle and bussle of the Cafe. All the commings and goings. The greetings and partings. Ahhh what a sight.

...

...

...

Yep he was already sick of it. Well, to be more exact, it was already messing with his flow. He liked to move things at his own pace and with all these people finding new conversations, he was at a loss for things to do. So, he did what he could. Packed up his guitar and started to exit after picking some good music.

Witha bounce in his step, he began to dance his way out of the cafe.

Navalie suddenly perked up with an angelic grin. "Ah, Who needs sanity. . ." Navalie said and continued on. "Things have changed a lot since I was here last. Wow. I'm 15. Didn't even realize it. By the way. I way just thinking of a friend I meet over the past years. Her name is Midori Kane. She's an academy student in Kirigakure. I wish to see her again." Navalie said and drifted off into deep thought until she realized she still had the letter she found in her pocket. She didn't read it at all until now. She reached into her pocket and grabbed the letter. She unfolded it and began to scan the words written in fine ink. It read of:

-Dear beloved wife and young baby Navalie. I can't wait to see you again and the four of us can have a fine old time once more. Midori can't seem to sleep much lately because of some night time ruckus. Please come here as soon as you can and bring Navalie. We can't keep the two separated forever because they might grow into enemies or such.

~Love, Your Husband- Hoshimi and little Midori Kane.-

When Navalie finished reading the letter she held it in front of her with a shocked gaze. She did in fact have a family, and her friend was her sister. This made her fill with joy. She squealed and jumped up and hugged Kei. "Yey! I have a Father and a Sister!" Navalie said shouting with excitement.

((Shocked look: O.O Exited look: 4laugh ))

Kei smiled. "That's good thatbyou found a friend in the Village of Mist. I have one too... Her name is Kumori Ame, she lives here in the village as a refugee... We seem to be getting a lot of new people here everyday... so many without homes... it's saddening..." Kei fumbled with a pair of chopsticks as she thought about it...

"Don't just sit here sulking then. Lets grab some twigs and nails and get building. Your to sad all the time. I used to be to, but when you let sadness get to you it makes you upset and mad. Come on, Cheer up. Just because I lived 13 years of my life all by my self doesn't make things seem better by I learned to be positive. " Navalie said and continued with a strong smile on her face, but it was more stern now. "We all start with nothing but we ourselves have to make the best of it and choose our own fate on whether we stay at nothing or if we become the best we can be. You never know what you have until it's gone. "
PostPosted: Thu Apr 03, 2008 4:41 pm

Kei nodded in response. "Yeah, I know... Like everyone, I've lost a lot... not that I really care and all, that's the general flow around any shinobi. I swear..." A small smile broke across her face again. "A shinobi's life is like a country song..." She spun around in the bar chair a little bit, feeling the breeze created from the swing. "I haven't trained in forever... I've been so busy with the hospital... you want to do something..?"

Nav quickly responded to the wonderful question. "I'd love to! I've been bored ever since I came back. " Navalie looked around and smiled. Life was an interesting obstacle that needed to be overcome like any other fear in a small mind in the human race.
