Jillian smiled, although it was only and echo of his previous, bright smile. "Alright... I'll do that. And thank you, Treza," he murmured. "I'll... I'll see you." With that, he exited the room and made his way to the stables. He readied the younger prince's stead and immediately took off. Faryn was already several hours ahead of him... he needed to be as fast as he could. He didn't have much with him - gold enough, of course, his current clothes and a few other odds and ends, but it was certainly not the best way to travel. But Jillian knew the land and the best ways to get what he needed out of the connections he had. He would survive. the question was whether or not Faryn would.

Treza nodded and waved. "See you," she responded. After seeing Jillian out, she went back to her bedroom to change out of her teadress. Muertian should be notified...

Jillian rode for several hours, stopping now and then to ask if the fair-haired prince had been seen. He had - it was lucky in this circumstance that the boy stood out so much with his hair and his steed - and Jillian followed his trail, taking the occasional short cut but always following. The horse was beginning to tire and he layed a hand on his back, feeding magic energy into the animal's veins so it could go onward. It was less like giving the animal fuel than it was like feeding his own energy into the animal. He himself was tiring, having sapped off quite a bit of his own energy. He intended to reach Haeri before Faryn could, but he would reach the prince sooner if he could. Jillian, however, needed no boat to get across that barrier, but he had no intention of letting the prince know that. Better he brought him back before he ever got across.

[[Sorry... ARGH. -hates oneliners-]]

Rain began a quick descent on Faryn just as he tried to get rid of his two pursuers. He didn't have time for this. Magic was never good to use because it could be traced... but what more of a choice did he have?

A spark. "Petrify!" he murmured decisively, shooting a black jet of energy at each of the men, who in seconds, became nothing more than mere statues.

Faryn took a deep breath. "I've got to get out of here." The prince high-tailed it into the woods, not stopping even though thick rain droplets rushed down upon him.

After a while, Jillian had to stop because he was hungry and it was raining. He slipped wearilly off the horse's back and was about to cast about for a place to eat when he spotted a man... frozen in action. If that wasn't Faryn's doing, he didn't know what was. He walked over to the man, leading the horse along behind him, and layed a hand onto his shoulder. it took a minute or so, but he became... normal again after a moment. He would be in some numbness and pain for a while, but at least he was alive. But now all thoughts of stopping were put from Jillian's mind. He could detect a faint whiff of magic - obviously from Faryn - and followed it after casting his own spell to keep the rain off. It wouldn't do to catch a cold.

One hour... two... Faryn was weakening along with his horse. He gave it a nudge in the side. "Come on, Whit," he muttered encouragingly.

He had to thank whatever gods existed when he and his horse spilled out onto a main road beside Haeri's seaside town. They'd made it, though the rain continued to pour. The pitch black sky mingled with the black water. Faryn couldn't tell the difference between the two by the time he tied Whitley up under the horse shelter and pushed open the door to the Inn. He'd stay the night... and then board ... early in the morning. Faryn checked into an open room and bought a few carrots from an indoor merchant.

Tired, shuffling feet brought him back out to the horse shelter to handfeed Whitley her carrots.

Jillian reached the town perhaps an hour or two after Faryn had. He passed the inn, however, and went straight to Haeri, who let him in instantly. They had talked before - of course they had, Haeri always being interested in anything from the sea and there were certainly things from the other side of the wall that reached the Nation through the sea that Jillian could explain better than anyone. He was served tea as a late dinner was made for him by the chef and, tired though he was, he mustered up what energy he had and began to explain what was happening. "Be... be aware of a certain stowaway. I can't reveal his identity, but he'll deffinately try and..." He sighed, looking exceedingly tired. the food was served and he ate quickly and was then led to sleeping chambers as Haeri began to check over and prepare everything. If what Jillian said was true, then Sayael should be arriving some time the next day.

((Rosy...?))

"You better not go passing out on me!" Dax said. His eyes looked searchingly around for awhile. No proper silverware? He guessed there was only one way to eat the meat, then. Carefully, between his thumb and forefinger on both hands, he tore off a small piece of the dried meat. "I'd probably just encase us in a big tomb of ice until you woke up again. I doubt I'd be able to haul your butt around, especially in this dress." He once again began eating in small bites. "Speaking of which, I'm not expected to wear this even while I sleep, am I?"

(Oh, and for Sayael switching to the woman part.. Are you wanting to get to that soon? Like.. before the next town or what?)

((Whenever is fine. Probably when they wake up is best since they'll be away from people already. And to make things faster (since Faryn and Jillian are already there) they already passed the boundary of the kingdoms and are in the Kingdom of Earth.))

Sayael shrugged and began to eat his meat, figuring he should get some protein in. "Change if you like. I don't particularly care. But if someone walks in at night you should be wearing something a woman would wear to sleep," he said with a shrug. Somewhere along the way, his travels had made him a bit paranoid - or at least aware of possibilities, as he liked to call it.

"If someone walks into the tent at night, they'll probably find themselves beaten down before they even notice," Dax scoffed. He was always jumpy when people snuck up on him in the first place, but in a foreign kingdom while camping in the woods? His first thought would probably be to attack. "Besides.. I don't have anything womanly to wear to sleep. And don't tell me you carry lady's undergarmets as well. That would be past borderline creepy."

Alti, however had noticed Peyton, but made no comment. He could deffinatelyDEFINITELY sympathise with the boy and he doubted Haar would look kindly on his "up and about" apprentice, so he followed in silence, although he smirked slightly as they passed the boy and his helper. "Where are we headed to?" he asked Haar curiously, because he had just realised that he did not know.

((Sorry, crap. Dx))
[[http://www.deviantart.com/view/35594128/ It came to my mind that I never posted this colored version, so..uhm..here's Haar...in color. 83]]

"Some place to clear my head," he mumbled, not giving any further explanations as to where the two were going. He couldn't believe Xel's teasings had gotten him so far from his usual behaviour. He was never weak. Well, at least not on a usual basis, he could count the times using one hand when he had truly been in complete weak despair. When his parents had died, when he had been separated from the one thing he had ever allowed himself to love, when Xel had attacked him, and last night and the following morning.

Peyton settled himself against the farthest corner of the carriage, leaning his previously injured leg across Cain's lap with a tired expression. All that hopping around made him tired and he ended up sleeping all the way to the death kingdom, which was most likely the best idea because the scenery wasn't exactly beautiful. It had been raining since they had passed the kingdom's borders. A little later on, Shannon remarked that their certain dressmaker should be at the Death castle, or so she had been told by one of the messengers of the Fire Kingdom.

Cain had been admiring the dank atmosphere, well not specifically admiring but trying to figure out how exactly anyone could live here. He had long since moved the prone boy's leg off of him and seen fit to wake Peyton up now that they were relatively close to the castle.

The sole sound of a page turning echoed in the royal library as slender fingers felt the thin parchment of an old leather-bound book. A 19-year-old boy who went by the name Ruehl Encender sat rather contentedly in a leather reading chair, his ankles crossed comfortably.

A sigh escaped his lips, and he brushed a few stray, crimson bangs from his vision. He looked up, crystal-clear green orbs clearly displaying an inner sense of restlessness. The afternoon sun poured through twin windows draped with deep red curtains. The teen closed his book and set it on a small table. Its title read, 'Battleground Diaries of the War of 1356.' Ruehl's favorite kind of books usually revolved around similar topics. With a little stretch and a sigh, the teen-- more well-known as Prince Ruehl of the Fire Kingdom-- decided to take a stroll through the castle. Perhaps the gardens would be nice... he could use a bit of fresh air.

In the open corridors of the castle, bordering a central, rectangular cavity that descended some floors down, Ruehl could clearly see who was on lower floors. Thus, he on the second, could quite easily notice his certain, favorite commander walking through the first level lobby.

"Haar!" he called down to the male, one year his senior, "Hey, Haar!" He repeated, trying to gain the commander's attention. He paused for a split moment, noticing someone with the commander. A... a purple-haired child?

No matter. "Haaaaar!" Crimson locks slightly fell back into his vision as he leaned over the railing of the open corridor. An eager, sweet grin adorned his countenance.

"It's wonderful," he murmured, eyes traveling across the whole of what he could see of the garden. It seemed so very... peaceful, with the sounds of burbling water in the background. If he closed his eyes, he could immagine that he was in that place... it was so much like there with the burbling stream and the shade of trees all around. Very cool and calming. Tranquil.
Muertian laughed, "I know." A confident statement. As a prince, wasn't he permitted the luxury of confidence? He thought so.

"So, Miss Rosaline... where do you live? You've visited my home," he reasoned, "Do you live in the countryside? The village? Off a particular street or by a certain shop?"

"Of course I don't," Sayael scoffed. "And I only have the dress because you're traveling with me. Otherwise I wouldn't need it," he said, rolling his eyes at the other. "I don't exactly make a habbit of pretending to be a woman, no matter how much I travel." He finished up eating and packed the food away, stowing it in a small corner. With that done, he lay down and started to try and sleep.

Alti frowned, but didn't ask anymore, knowing he wouldn't get any more of an answer. For some reason this annoyed him - he hated being in the dark about everything - and a scowl crossed his face as he becam progressively ill-tempered. He didn't suppose Haar had guests very often or he would be more aware of what was irksome for them - in fact, he didn't seem like someone who delt with people much at all.

Alti's thoughts, however, were haulted by the sound of a calling voice. He tured around - although the call was not for him - and looked up to see someone leaning over from the level above them, calling to the brown-haired man beside him. He instantly wiped the scowl from his features, his face becoming once again expressionless, as he waited for the commander to react.
