Not really... but I would like to farm the 8 mill worth of ranarr seeds I bought and sell them before I get a pic up.

8,000,000 / 30k = 266 seeds (give or take one)
266 seeds x 6 (the smallest average I've ever got per 100 seeds) = 1596 weeds
1596 weeds x 8k (the going rate for ranarrs in bulk atm) = 12,768,000
So I'm making at least 4.768 mill profit.
Considering last time I did 100 seeds I had a nice 6.7 weed per patch average that would make me 6.257 mill
(And the averages i get take dead patches into consideration, so even with deaths, I still make plenty of profit.)
So to sum up, I'm not spending money on farming.
I'm spending money on making more money + getting free farming exp in the process.

Thanks, I've got a ranarr farming thread in the crew subforum where i've been keeping track of my farming habits for a while.
Ranarr farming can't fail to make you money when you buy in bulk.

I used to be a bit of a maths genius. When I was 12 I was five years ahead of everyone else in my class and going to a maths masterclass in college... shame I gave it all up really, but it's boring... sweatdrop
Anyhoo, less of me. More farming...
When you do farm, use supercompost.
Hell I think I might add this into a guide... Anyone interested in seeing me make a few guides?
Say, barrows (with different methods included), farming, the puzzles you get from tt clues (since I know people wanted that guide a little while ago and I know a way of solving them without breaking a sweat) and maybe some other guides if I can think of things I know really well?

I might consider doing that too. But i got scared when i planted my 4 ranarr seeds i got from drops and 2 out of 4 of them died. sweatdrop

Well for a really rough estimate...
You've got a 2/5 chance of one patch dying (if left unattended)
a 1/10 chance of two patches dying (if left unattended)
a 1/100 chance of three patches dying (if left unattended)
and I've never (so far...) had all four patches die, and with well over 1k worth of trips under my belt I'm guessing it's around the 1/1000 mark.
