~Orion Michael De La Cruz~

"I would go, I mean I really don't want too. I would go despite that if I could. I have been letting things pile up since I have been focusing on the nursery. It isn't fair to my partners, and since Black is away for the week it is time I stepped up. Did my fair share. I can't let Titus do everything. Or even expect him too. That isn't fair." Orion had really been slacking, and the guys had been understanding but he had to really start doing his part. His focus had been on Grace and their life together so much lately that the Club was not even his focus lately. Orion sighed.
"No. I will pick you up. I don't need any of them giving you a ride anywhere." They can't even keep their own trouble in their own town, he didn't want them around Grace. He didn't want them in the Creek.

Once there Orion was immediately annoyed. Nate and Dereck were out front. Nate was questioning him.
"No. Not staying. Have a lot to do." He leaned over and kissed Grace's cheek.
"Call me when you are ready to go. I will be at the bar, I have to get the order in." He watched her leave and was irked with Nate's comment. Like his child would ever be a Reaper!

He drove off and headed to the bar. He checked out the inventory, did a quick count. Put in the order and then went over the books. He had work at the garage to do as well but he really did not want to head over there. The bar was closer to where Grace was. It would take less time to get to her from the bar.

"Rion called before they could really dig in." She responed with a small smile. She did not tell him dinner got extremely tense. There was not need to bring that conversation up and make him feel awkward. Cadence shrugged.
"I have been okay. Work has been demanding. They actually decided I would be a great candidate for a different position so nearly immediately they switched my position. This one is a lot more demanding and stressful but it is a great job. The money is decent." She grew silent.
"Hey, you don't have to apologize. We all need to work. I get it." She set her glass down.
"The jewelry box is already done?" She smiled and left the room to get her purse. She came back with her purse and pulled her wallet out.
"What do I owe you Jasp?" She pushed back her dark hair. It was so long now, she really did need to get it cut.

Jasper finished the food on his plate, and sat back in the chair his beer to his lips as his blue eyes watched the dark haired beauty. Although she was right in that they all had to work, he felt bad. Couldn't help but feel after she had lost the baby, he had somewhat ignored her. Not intentionally since at first she didn't want to see him. And then after that night of bowling, work had just picked up. So he only had seen her maybe once a week, and that being around Killian or Lincoln or Moira or some other."So you like your new job? Do you like your coworkers?"He knew that was important. Knew Cadie had enjoyed the diner and coworkers there. It was a shame that he heard her cousin was making such a mess of the whole thing.

When she left the table, Jasper got up to get a small plate of seconds. Returning to eat at the table, he waved off her question of payment at her request of payment. After swallowing the food in his mouth, Jasp shook his head and replied with a smile,"Don't worry about it, Cadie. You don't owe me anything. If you want to give something, how about just another meal like this between the two of us?"]It was nice to just talk with her again. To be alone with her and not have to worry about how the other guys would take it. Even if it was a bit odd and nervous air between the two which would be expected after what they had been through together.

"Jasper...you could eat dinner here every night if you wanted too. I cook plenty of food. I end up dropping some off to Killian or Lincoln. Actually Killian has been coming over to have dinner here like twice a week, sometimes three times a week. Lincoln at least once every other week. I don't mind the company. Just Fatty and me here. Dinner between just us two will be easy to do. Whenever you feel like it. I am quite the homebody nowadays." Upon saying 'Fatty' a large White and Black Cat came running from her bedroom. He used his massive head to bump Cadie's leg and then rubbed against her. Meowing at the young woman.
"Jasper, that's Fatty. Fatty that is Jasper." Cadie said as she picked up the huge Cat. The Cat's yellow eyes closed as Cadie scratched his ears.

She set the large Cat down after a minute. She shrugged her shoulders. "My co-workers are okay. They are attorneys though, so you know how that is. I don't really fit in. They talk about golfing and their country club, and I'm like I did a keg stand at this party...or I binged watched this show on Netflixs and fell asleep with my Cat.." She laughed.
"It is weird. I just go in and focus on my work. I don't mingle socially much. They know nothing about me. I like it that way. I don't work in town, so....they don't know about Orion, the MC or that I am trouble." She stood up.
"Dessert? Lincoln bought this cake. My favorite, but I really can't eat it. I feel like this job is making me fat." She twisted her dark hair back, into a bun. The Cat walked over to Jasper and sat down beside him. He meowed at him, clearly demanding food.

Jasper frowned. He hadn't been aware Killian and Lincoln had been coming by so often. It made sense in a way, she was family to the MC. And yet it didn't sit completely right with him either. Then she mentioned something named Fatty. He was about to ask who Fatty was, and to deny that she was fat if that had been her way of calling herself as such. But then a black and white cat came running up to her and she introduced the two.Jasper's eyebrows rose,"When did you get a cat? Where did you get a cat?"

So she wasn't getting chatty with her co-workers. Didn't seem to even really want to by the sounds of it. Which was her prerogative. She had gone through a lot recently. He could understand wanting some type of new start, but not talking to those she worked with, might also make the place quite bleak. "I know you may like them not knowing much, but it must get kinda lonely in the office, no? Why not find something in town?" He suggested with a shrug.

As she mentioned dessert he quickly finished the food on his plate, "You are far from any type of fat. But dessert sounds good if you'll join." He told her with a smile, before continuing in a joking tone, "Anyways if you don't go out with anyone at work, how can it make you fat?"

Wren Ashby

Millie nodded to Titus's question. She decided that since Wren trusted him, and he had been the only reason they had found her at all, she let him go in alone. Some hours passed before the doctors discharged Wren and they were able to take her home. They didn't know what went on in the hospital room, but for once, they respected Wren's privacy and never asked, that was between Wren and Titus.
The drive home was silent. The brother's and Millie assumed she'd warm back up and start talking once she had some time.
But days turned into weeks, therapy twice a week, but Wren never spoke. She barely responded to questions.
She went to work, she tattooed, she painted, but she never spoke. Her paintings took on a dark turn, horrible monsters grew across canvases, her art took on a messy darkness, the lines sketchy with bits of ink splatter, lots of biometric black line work with bold bits of color contrasted in, beautiful in a twisted kind of way.
The only time Wren perked up was when they discussed their search for Brenen; a hatred would creep into her eyes, Millie recognized the blood thirst there. She craved revenge. She would physically respond if Titus was mentioned in a conversation, pausing in whatever she was doing to listen, but she never spoke.
Declan was fairly convinced this was a permanent thing now, and was persistent in pushing for the family to take sign language classes. He missed talking to his sister terribly, and was willing to do whatever it took to communicate with her again.
Ivan was more perceptive and tried to explain that it wasn't that Wren couldn't speak, she just didn't want to. Not one paid him any mind though, his words fell on deaf ears.
Millie was convinced she was having a psychological break down, and money couldn't fix that. Her stress piled on top of itself, and she threw herself into finding Brenen and the other Outcasts. She was convinced killing Brenen would bring Wren back, that closer would help her move on.

~Cadence Jaycey Sinclaire-Caine~

"I got him from a shelter in the town I am working in. I saw him and fell in love! He is huge! He was like three times the size of all the other cats! I was going to call him Callum, or Cal for short. However....the first night I got him....I left my tacos unattended while I ran to the bathroom and came back and he had eaten my tacos! So....I called him a Fatty, then he meowed at me. So now whenever I say Fatty he looks at me or meows. So his name is Fatty now." She smiled at the fat cat that spread out on the floor under the table.
"I wanted a dog....but I am never home, and I don't have a yard yet. So I decided a Cat would be perfect." She pulled out the cake and a knife. She pulled out two smaller plates to put the slices of cake on.
"My boss orders lunch for the office all the time. His wife is a new Vegan, and on this crazy healthy food kick. She packs him all this weird super healthy food. He never eats it. He orders lunch, and insists we eat with him so he doesn't over eat. So we eat way too much take out. I try to pack, but most days he tells me to save it for the next day. So nearly three days a week it is take out for lunch. He is really funny. We have four attorneys in our office. Two legal secretaries, and four paralegals, that is including me. We also have two law students who intern there. There is also two other attorneys who rent office space there, but I don't really work under them for the most part. Mostly men there, so not like I have much to say to them. I don't care for football, golf or anything like that. Most of the women are older. It is a lot more sitting then I am accustom too. Though I get to go to court with the attorneys, or go to the court house to file paperwork on behalf of the attorneys. Or even go to the law library to do research. It is just....not as active as I am accustom too. I was a waitress and a bar tender for a long time. Not use to sitting still. I like it though. It is different and interesting." Cadence set the bigger of the two slices on one plate and set it down in front of Jasper. She went and got him a fork, and then poured two glasses of milk. She set them on the table, then put her slice of cake onto the other plate.
"I didn't want to work in town. Sometimes it is nice to not be known. To not be Lena and David' daughter, or Orion's sister. Or associated with the MC. Some days I just want to be Cadence. I want people to get to know me, the real me. Not just what you hear around town.I feel like people don't try to get to know me, they just believe whatever it is they hear. It really sucks! I have no friends here anymore, other then like Killian. I am pretty sure he is babysitting me though." She poked her cake with her fork. Then took a bite of the chocolate dessert.
"So what is new with you? Other then being swamped at work!" Her hazel eyes moved from her cake to his handsome face. They lingered a moment on his face before she returned her attention to the cake.
"Delicious!" She declared and took a sip of her milk.
"Want to take our cake into the living room and watch some tv? I was in the middle of another Gilmore Girl marathon on Netflixs, but it can wait till tomorrow evening. We can watch whatever, doesn't really matter to me." She rose and grabbed her plate and cup.

She quickly moved through the small apartment and had a seat on one end of the couch. She set the glass on a coaster, then set the cake down. She immediately exited out of her show and began to move through the selections on Netflixs.
"Actually....Jasper...if your not busy, I would like someone to accompany me to see this house in a couple of days. The pictures of the house look great online. I have driven pass the house a few times, walked the neighborhood a little. I am going to see the house, and it definitely needs some work. I wanted someone who actually knows a bit about that sort of thing to accompany. I wasn't sure who to ask. The house is just outside of town. I love the porch. The lawn is a decent size, and the yard is pretty large. The kitchen....well...it all needs to be updated. The cabinets are all going. The bathroom....the colors are really bad. The master bedroom had a huge bathroom though, and has His and Her sinks. I love that bathroom!" Cadence could not help the smile from spreading across her face. The house was almost everything she had dreamed of.

Grace was sad to see Orion leave, but as soon as she stepped foot into Dereck's home, those feelings were immediately forgotten. There was a little set up in the middle of the living-room, and inside of the enclosure was a bunch of puppies! She made a bee line to the little area, and stepped over the gate, taking a seat right in the middle. Almost immediately the puppies jumped and climbed all over her, and she couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, my god!" Her hands picked up Stasha, and she kissed the puppy on the nose. "If they are up for adoption, I want this one!" She cuddled the puppy for a little longer, and then took Nate's hand, standing up from the cage, and moving towards the kitchen.

Lucky had made his way to the fridge, grabbing himself a beer before moving to sit on the counter. "Eh, same old, same old." He shrugged his shoulders, and let his eyes move to the door when Grace, Dereck and Nate walked inside. He was actually surprised to see Grace, given that she had been kind of MIA in the past few months. "Hey, Gracie! Where's the angel boy-toy?" He wiggled his eyebrows, and let out a hearty laugh when she threw a pillow at him from the living-room.

Grace grabbed herself a water, and took a drink. Dereck moved to stand next to her, and opened a beer for himself. "He dropped her off." That was all he was going to say, mostly because Lincoln was here, and he didn't want to make the man feel awkward. It's not like they were here on work business, anyway. It was a cook-out, and as far as he was concerned, there were no different charters, not tonight, anyways. Finally, he moved his eyes to Grace, and looked down at her growing bump, and the ring on her finger. "So, it's official? Congrats." He raised his beer, but the look on his face and tone of voice seemed to say a different story. Of course he wasn't happy that she ran off and got married to Orion. That was his rival, after all.

It was almost like Nate could sense the tension in the air, because he decided to speak up. "Aye, now! We're gonna have a new member of the family here soon! Don't be so somber, mate." His hand slapped Dereck on the shoulder, and he moved around, giving Grace a big hug. "You know the sex, yet? I'm willing to bet there's a little Gracie in there." His hands moved to rest on either side of her stomach, and he heard Dereck scoff, and his head shot up.

"I'm convinced that it's gonna be a boy. The world doesn't need another Grace." He chuckled under his breath, and leaned into Grace's shoulder lightly. It was going to take some time for him to be okay with the idea of Grace being married to Orion, but he was certain that he was going to love the baby will all of his heart, despite who the father is. "Well, I have the gender sealed in an envelope in my purse, and I was hoping to do a gender reveal party..." She pulled the envelope from her purse, waving it around in the air.

Lyn laughed at how quickly Grace found the puppies and climbed into their play area once she came in the door. She heard more than saw the blonde, pregnant woman. They certainly were a draw to anyone who couldn't resist fluffy, little, adorable things. But she was surprised to hear the pregnant one stating she wanted a puppy while she was expecting a baby. That Maralyn was sure would be a handful. Two babies in the house. Although that couldn't be too different than twins, and the pups had been pretty well behaved."Grace, you can certainly have which ever one you want. Just let me know. You can take it home tonight, or I can bring it by tomorrow."At hearing Dereck state that Orion was not coming by, she felt a little bad for Lincoln. But then again she had never told her cousin who exactly was going to be here, so it wasn't like he was expecting anyone.

Lyn grabbed the hotdogs from the fridge and a spatula before going outside to put them on the grill and flip the burgers over. When she came back in, the Reapers and Grace were talking about what sex the baby possibly was. After Lyn got her own beer from the fridge, she stood near Lincoln. Grace was waving the envelope that had the answer to the most recent question in the air,
"Are you excited to find out if it's a boy or girl?"Lyn knew some families wanted one sex over the other, and could be anxious to know. Others didn't care as long as the baby was healthy, or so they said. And yet other couples liked to wait for the surprise. Waiting was something Lyn herself didn't think she would be able to do if she were ever in that position. So much planning would be missed not knowing, and you wouldn't be able to talk about things like names.,

THe man nodded and reached down to scratch the big cat behind the ears. He was a friendly thing at least. And kept Cadie company so that she wasn't lonely. If he was eating human food tho, that probably meant he had been on the streets for a while."Well a cat certainly works. When you get another place going to get a dog too?" Some cats and dongs got along he knew. And usually dogs were better protection, although he had heard of some cats that were protective of their people and space.

Jasper laughed as she explained her bosses dilemma that unfolded to her dilemma. "Well I do't blame the guy! But you also can't refuse good food." His smile was short lived as she continued to mention that she had no friends in the Creek anymore,"Only Killian? Me and Linc didn't make the cut huh? And you don't talk to Lyn or Grace anymore? Weren't you girls close? Maybe you should plan a night with them." It would do her some good to get out with some friends for sure. Some others than him and the MC guys, although they all cared for her. But maybe some female companionship would make her feel better. At least isn't that what they said?

Jasper followed her into the living room and sat down next to her with his fork and plate in his hand. He shrugged as she mentioned tv, "Whatever you want to watch." He really didn't care especially not with food in front of him that was as delicious as this cake. He listened as the large piece of cake disappeared. He smiled and his blue eyes gazed over to her. Jasp set the empty plate down on the table, using a free hand to tuck some of her long hair behind her ear,"Your hairs so long, Cadie. Of course I'll go check it out with you. When do you have an appointment to see it?"

Titus had taken a small trip, but was heading back toward town. He decided to stop by Wren's shop. He wanted to see her. He was thinking of getting another tattoo. He wanted something small, cool, and he just had not found anything that really spoke to him yet. He wasn't sure why but he felt like Wren would have something perfect.

He stepped into the shop, and went straight to her book. He sat down and flipped through the pages. Taking his time to look the designs over. He knew there had to be something that was perfect for him. He would know it when he saw it.

Finally after about ten minutes he decided on something. He saw a very detail skull he wanted. In the sockets though he wanted tiny flames. He felt like that was perfect. Now to decide where to get it.
"Hmmmm...." He muttered as he thought.

"Yes! I am so getting a dog! I have like three picked out! I need a big enough yard though." Cadence laughed. She loved animals! If it was up to her she would have a house full of animals. She liked animals better then people. Animals never had a hidden agenda.

"Jasper, you don't exactly fall into the friend category. You are a friend....but it is hard sometimes. Hard since we have that history. So there are times I want to invite you to do things, and....I don't because I am worried you'll think I am being aggressive and trying to force myself on you. So...I don't. Lincoln....he's not a friend. By any means, we hang out in a group. He does not text me or visit me. I don't text of visit him. I simply tried to be there when he needed someone. I understand needing someone from time to time. In the words of Kings of Leon "You know that I could use somebody". I know that feeling. I've felt lost and alone." Cadence set her plate down. She shook her head.
"I'm not on speaking terms with those chics. Who needs enemies when you have friends like those two. Besides Grace is with Orion, and I want nothing to do with him. It's not anything personal, it's just....trouble follows that guy. I don't want to be caught up in it. I just want a quiet life where I don't get raped and tortured on a regular basis." Cadie set the cake down and selected 'Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil'.

"Eventually I want kids and a dog, and stuff. I don't need or want my family to go the way my Aunt and niece did. So if that means I have to distance myself from Orion and his affairs....then...it is what I have to do. I understand Orion shouldn't be blamed for everything, but it is hard. He is the only person left that you can actually name that was involved in that horrible mess."

Cadence twisted her hair into a messy knot. She smiled at Jasper. "I know, I know. I am planning on cutting it a bit soon. I haven't made the appointment. I have been so busy. Soon though. After I see the house, that appointment is Saturday afternoon. There are two other houses I am going to see that day as well. I have my heart set on this one though." Cadie flopped back against the couch.
"I really just want more space. I need a real kitchen!" She looked over at Jasper and smiled.
"I like this. It is nice." She reached out a hand and rubbed his forearm lightly. Fatty hopped up on the other side of Jasper and laid down.
"Fatty likes you." The cat purred loudly and bumped his head against Jasper's thigh. Cadie scooted a bit closer and leaned over and pet the cat.
"He got out the other day and brought me a bird. I was freaking out!" Cadie straightened up as she realized she was damn near on Jasper's lap herself.

Grace nodded to Lyn, and placed the envelope back into her purse. "I am, I'm very excited. I'm just kind of worried.." She rubbed her arm nervously, and looked between Lyn, and the Reapers that were standing in the kitchen. "I'm nervous that Orion won't love the baby the same if it's a girl, because of everything that happened with Isabelle." Almost as soon as the words came out, she could feel her brother tense next to her, and she immediately took another drink of water.

Dereck narrowed his eyes at his sister, and clenched his jaw a few times. "Did he say that, or is that what you think?" Having never had kids of his own, Dereck couldn't really say anything on the matter regarding Orion. "If that happens, you know you have a whole family here." That was all he was going to say on the subject, and the disdain in his face was clear as he moved to the back porch with Lucky, lighting up a cigarette.

Nate looked from Lyn to Grace, and nodded his head, agreeing with Dereck. "Don't worry about things like that, Gracie." His hand moved and he patted her shoulder gently, letting his blue eyes look around the room until they landed on the puppies. "You sure you want a puppy? You're gonna have your hands full here soon with that little babe."

Grace felt a small smile pull at her lips, and she nodded her head. "Yeah, I have a friend who works in the local sheriffs office and he trains the dogs. I'm sure I could get him to help train Stasha. She would make a good companion for the baby, and a good protector." Grace failed to mention that the person she knew in the sheriffs office was an ex boyfriend.

Jasper's lips pressed together. Well what she said he couldn't deny. They certainly had been in odd waters since she had gotten pregnant. They hadn't really ever been together before that as a couple, then were shoved together because of it, and after losing the baby - they hadn't really talked much about it.He rubbed the back of his head, "Well, I've also been giving you your space for the same reason. So I guess do we need to decide now how we are going to move forward? Was this really the time to ask that? Probably not, but it seemed to be on her mind...some. Was definitely on his mind,"I mean Cadence, what do we want to do between us? Do you want to just continue on as friends, or do you want to see where us could go? I know a lot has happened since we started fooling around months ago, and a lot has changed since then too. But if you're ready, I'd still like to give us a try."

Then Jasper shut his lips tight. Hadn't she just finished saying she was done with Orion's mess? That she wanted a more normal life than her Aunt had? "It's fine if you don't. I know you've wanted away from the Club." Jasper added after a few moments of silence between the two. He nodded as she told him when the house appointment was, "Do you just want me there for that one? Should we meet there, or I can pick you up if you wish?"

His blue eyes looked away from her beautiful form to the large black and white cat on the other cushion near him. As the cat bumped his hand, Jasper smiled a small smile and moved his hand to pet the cat. He seems to be friendly. Cats are suppose to hunt Cadie. He was just helping clean out vermin."

Grace looked so excited then so hurt and worried the next minute, that Lyn couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She didn't know what it would feel like to wonder if the man she loved rejected something of theirs just because it wasn't picture perfect. Wasn't there yet. Yet she also couldn't imagine Orion not being happy about this baby no matter what. When she saw those two together it was obvious he cared for her. And this was a new beginning for them. Her blue eyes watched Dereck's reaction to his sister's words, as many in the kitchen did. She nodded with his statement that Grace had family outside of Orion. Surely nothing would change that.

Then Dereck was out the back door, lucky following. "I'm sure Orion will be happy no matter the sex, Grace. How could he not when you two have been blessed with this new bundle of joy?"She tried to comfort Grace with her words. She looked to Lincoln for some extra support as Nate comforted the blonde as well. Lincoln knew the man possibly better than anyone else here.

Her head wiped back to Grace as the conversation came across the puppies again and she mentioned which one she wanted to take. Maralyn smiled,"I'm sure she will make a great companion for you and the baby. If you need help with her, don't be afraid to ask. We can even set up puppy playdates, since we will keep one too."Lyn told her. Dereck and herself had not truly discussed which pup they were going to keep. Of course Lyn had gotten a favorite, she was sure Dereck did too. Perhaps tonight after everyone left she'd ask what he thought. Otherwise she was willing to let it play out. See which puppy is the last to be adopted, and let that be their dog. Although that really could be a toss up.,
