Perhaps her surprise was the last push needed to end this battle. Or maybe the Roselia's nervousness kept him from properly defending. Whichever it was, the Sludge would literally coat his body. And even if he was part poison, the toxicity was still a shock to his system. It was a powerful blow, but thanks to his healing, he'd survive-- in some ways, thanks to her. He had lost... but from the faint grin on his face, it seemed he had no regrets.

"... oh dear."
Alice stared as the meteors came rushing towards her, surprisingly quickly. Her first reaction was to recall both Maddie and Vorpal-- the latter might have been annoyed by this action, but she wouldn't keep him in jeopardy. With them safe, Alice would drop to the group, basket looped around her arm. Lower to the ground, she might have a better chance of evading the rocks. Slowly and carefully, she began to crawl, weaving along the floating island.

Kiani smiled widely at Lily, she had won her first battle and Kiani was so proud of her. Kneeling down, Kiani lifted Lily into her arms. "You did great Lily." Kiani said, giving the litleo a hug. With Lily still in her arms, Kiani continued on her journey.

Thankfully, the duo would continue on their way unmolested for now. However, Lily didn't seem to like being carried as she began to squirm in Kiani's arms. Sighing, Kiani put Lily down and let her walk on her own.
Running through the stones, Alice would find an odd sort of pattern to the barrage, only every other stone coming within striking distance of her body. As it was only a single rock would actually hit her...unfortunately this one was directly in the forehead. When the hail of debris stopped, the girl would find herself greeting by a snickering Gourgiest. Waving one arm, it would fall off the side of the path and disappear below. This was one poltergeist that knew how to get around!

The Budew practically bristled at the Croagunk's actions....in fact it did it more than just practically. A shiver ran up the Pokemon's body as a number of large green barbs suddenly poked out of it's hat. It would seem this particular rose bud came fully equipped with thorns. Scowling even more deeply than it had before, the Pokemon would turn it's card around to show a large red F before unleashing a barrage of Pin Missile!
Rhys pursed his lips a little as the Golduck pulled them up to shore. "At least Argyle wasn't lying..." he muttered as he stepped out of the boat. He turned to the Golduck then, "Thanks a bunch!" Otis did the same, but with an added wave from atop Rhys' head.
Otis would be fairly imperative with their travel, considering the volcanic activity. Hopefully, he would have a type advantage on most things in the area, but it also meant that Rhys probably wouldn't pass out from dehydration or anything either. Frubble output was already increasing a little.
"Alrighty, let's get crackin'," Rhys said as he started down the path, stopping shortly thereafter to roll up his sleeves and pant legs. "Alright, for real this time!"
"Froakie froakie!!" the frog exclaimed, excited about the adventure they'd likely have.
(Hm, the super snap camera is like a digital camera, yes?
EDIT:: Yes, perfect. I knew I'd start off against the Guardian. Happened last time too.)

((For Lily, it should be 42/75.))
Kiani's little group would find a strange outcropping-- a glowing blue rock that seemed to spark with electricity. The stagnant air hung heavy in the cave, almost oppressively so, but it didn't seem to be upsetting any of the Pokemon around the area. Indeed, a Nosepass hovered cheerfully near the stone, seemingly content. Perhaps a little too content... in a small blaze of light, he would evolve into a Probopass! Ignoring the human and her Pokemon, the massive creature would float away, down a tunnel too small to follow through.
This was it! Though it didn't have a traditional name, it was known at the Academy as a Charge Stone, a type of rock that enabled Pokemon like Nosepass and Magneton to evolve. Kiani had found it-- the stone she'd been charged with taking a picture of with her camera! And given she'd already caught extra Pokemon, she'd finished her mission! The quest was, would she turn around to return to the Academy, or would she venture deeper into the cave?

"Ow!" Alice yelped, pushing herself into a sitting position with her elbows. Her eyes rang with pain, and she couldn't help rubbing her forehead. Unfortunately, the pain didn't seem to be going away any time soon. She'd just have to deal with it. With a sigh of frustration, she clambered to her feet. For a moment, she considered releasing Vorpal and Maddie, but... well, if this place was dangerous, maybe she needed to keep them safe in their balls for a bit. Slower than before, she pressed forward on her path.

The pain in her head slowly receded to a dull throb as she pressed forth. Alice understood why Lankford and the others had given her pain receptors-- they'd let her know when she was pressing her body too far-- but she didn't always have to like it. But she couldn't whine too much. Carefully, she stepped up over the rocks

This was the longest stretch of quiet she'd had since she'd enter the crater, and Alice couldn't help feeling nervous. Her memories of her time as a defense drone were hazy at best, but it was never a good sign when a busy area suddenly quieted. She watched the landscape carefully as she walked, curious and on guard.

As Alice walked, she felt a pang of loneliness wash over her. Perhaps this was a weakness, but... Wordlessly, she called forth Vorpal for his Pokemon.
>ALICE!< The Honedge yelped, practically jumping on her. The last thing he'd seen, she was about to be pummeled by a rock shower! He was supposed to protect her, and she-- he--! He flailed about as he gently prodded her with his banner, trying to assess if she'd been hurt badly.
Alice couldn't help giggling a bit. "I'm fine, I'm fine," she assured him, deciding to leave out the meteor to the head. He already looked like he was about to have a conniption fit. She allowed him to wrap his banner around her arm possessively, trying not to laugh. Feeling more comfortable, she started walking forward again.
As soon as Karasu landed and got off at the dock, the boy thanked the pokemon for his help. This was it. They were finally at the Island. The boy was to stay alert, find the stone that promotes evolution and to catch and add at least one new pokemon to his team. Looking at Koga, he wondered what kind of pokemon they would find here. It looked to be a big place so various different ones could be hiding. Either way, the journey was about to begin. It was time for him to take his first steps off the beach they had arrived at.
Koga landed next to Karasu on the sand, making large indentations with his metal clawed feet. The steel bird looked around, keeping on the alert. This seemed like a place where they would and could get attacked often. Who knew what kind of events or obstacles would be in their way? But it was on the road to become stronger and so it would be worth it.

Stepping away from the dock and the beach, the boy would surprisingly be met with yet more water...
Brackish Bog
This is a place made of salt and death. Where fresh water from further inland brings all manner of dead plants to be washed out to sea, but over the years the route has become congested, the slowing of the current allowing new flora to grow over the old and increase the problem. This is a place where the living survive off the dead, so watch your step lest you become something's next meal; and don't drink the water.
The shinobi looked over the area noticing it turned into a swamp and bog area. The two had just left the ocean to still be greeted by plenty of water. Here it looked difficult to walk carefully across. He would have to tread lightly, watching out for traps. Koga would be alright, if he felt like something was sinking, the bird could take off.
Koga realized this was not an ideal traveling location. There could be sinkholes and traps at every corner. He could always move in front making sure before Karasu got caught in something. That in mind, the Skarmory went first letting his heavy talons sink into the ground as he moved forward.
