Shu was being fortunate for once...Getting simple little demons attacking, and going to stop them.
He lept on top of a Hairy Jack that was rampaging, and locked his arms around it's neck.
"Down boy!" he called, thrashing about on it's back until it fell over, and he beckoned forth his demon. "Earthys! End this!"
A quick slam from the earth, and Shu letting go of the demon in the proper timing...
And the dog was put down. Not something he was very fond of doing, but he had to keep the order somehow.

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"Now that they could take a few moments to relax, he couldn't help but lean his head back and laugh at the girl's flustered response to having seen her dancing. In fact, he was laughing harder than he had in a while...a side-effect of having been through so much trauma the last few days that nearly dying just now hadn't been enough to even shake him again?

Not so much, Luvi-chan," he teased as he released her from his side and ruffled her hair playfully, leaning close enough for her to catch a good glimpse of his handsome features and the mirth filling his mischievous eyes, "Though the way you were dancing, I wouldn't be surprised if you had inhaled a certain kind of smoke, if you catch my drift...but you're not into that sort of thing, are you?" No, he wasn't letting her off without at least a little teasing. Still, the reprieve wouldn't be long.  It was nice hearing him laugh. Times were so tense it was difficult to take these little times to laugh and relax. Even if it was at her expense. The white haired artist knew he was just teasing, and as such, she shoved him to the side playfully, her smirk growing at their teasing exchange. "Shut up, Makushima! Your dancing wasn't all that great, either. It was missing...feeling. Only because you have that choreography learned by heart... You probably don't dance for fun, do you? Huh?" He ruffled her hair and leaned in close... and she couldn't help her heart fluttering excitedly. She was still a girl with feelings...even if it was the end of the world. She couldn't deny it was a bit concerning, though... It was true he was really handsome... and he was funny...and brave... and that she was physically attracted to him... but... come on! She wasn't a young girl finding her first love in some pretty park! Just what the hell had that fluttering been about?

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"He had known she was cute from the moment they had met back on the road at the Samegawa Floodplain, but seeing the way she got all worked up over him teasing her about the dancing, it was plain to see that she could get downright adorable. That fiery side of her was definitely more interesting than most of the girl he met who simply wanted to toss themselves at him even if he treated them like utter trash. Nobody liked easy girls like that, not even the guys who took advantage of them...girls like Luvia commanded some measure of respect, and though Touma Makushima was fairly difficult to earn any of that from, she was at least someone who could hang with him to a point...which was why he had continued to spend time with her even after that initial night at the club.
Still, his dancing wasn't good? Please...he rolled his eyes at her weak attempt to bring him down to her level. Just who did she think he was, anyway? Kuniohara?
"A dance-off would be a waste of my time and yours. I'm a professional," the drummer smirked as he turned his attention down the road towards an approaching demon, meeting it with the dismissive strike of power that Lugh granted most enemies who had come after him, "You wouldn't challenge me to a portrait contest, would you? ...Not that I'd lose at that, either." Why did you have to so cruelly screw over two people who were only doing the best that they could to survive and have fun together just when the mood between them was beginning to show some of the chemically volatile reactions that made them such an interesting couple?! Who knew what kind of interesting, combative, or sexy things might have come had you not gone and dropped an Alioth Bud right on top of the duo...landing between them as if taunting them the way that drunken Obariyons had taunted them at the club the day before. They seldom had the chance to fall into their usual dynamics... always being looking behind their backs, tensed and worried for things trying to kill them. Couldn't the gods give them just one tiny moment to themselves? She needed more than just a few minutes.

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"They had only barely avoided death before when the last Alioth Spore dropped, but once again the Septentrione of the Day had gotten a hard-on for killing the drummer of Japan's most famous YA Band and dropped another of its toxin-spewing death pellets between he and his companion...only the efficiency of the same escape plan allowing them to get out of the way of what would have (again) been certain death. Breath escaping him in huffs after two desperate, adrenaline-filled escapes, Touma looked at Luvi with a bit of exasperation that essentially read, 'Really? REALLY?!'
Well, yes. Really. Here they were with a nearby exploding toxin-filled giant Hershey Kiss Alien Swirl Version as proof that yes, that really happened. s**t, he wanted to punch something right now!

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"Going back to the Headquarters and escaping this sudden rain of certain death felt like a wonderful plan, and he was absolutely going to follow through on that...until a THIRD FREAKING ALIOTH SPORE dropped between he and his companion and threatened to explode toxin all over him. This time, however, his demons were currently recharging inside of his phone...a new encounter this did not count as...and he couldn't help but simply curse under his breath at how the world had it out for him. More specifically, curse the pansy-a** Septentriones who were so chickenshit afraid of fighting him fairly that they had resorted to spamming distance-attacks exclusively at him in an attempt to eliminate their biggest threat.
Touma was not impressed as the Spore exploded nearby, his shoving Luvi out of the way all he could manage before at last, their ranged bombardment got the better of ******** style="color: orchid">"With my last breath...I say..." he coughed, limbs numbing, ...Like a BOSS! He pushed Luvia out of the way, but her Leanan Sidhe picked him up and dropped him right beside the white haired artist... the girl turning to look at the fairy muse and giving her a nod in thanks. Luvia shook his shoulders not so gently, desperately trying to wake him up. The demon worked the healing magic, but Luvia still felt the dread on the pit of her stomach. The third time couldn't be a charm this time! He couldn't die. She wouldn't let him die. "We've gotten so far..."

For a few moments, nothing.....
Before a boombox was tossed to the ground in front of Shiva's Terminal, and a tune started playing.
Shu was not the best dancer, but what he lacked in talent..
"Alright, let's do this shiiiiiiiiit!"
He made up for in enthusiasm. He pulled out a Microphone from god knows where, and started to sing along...Posing with his hands, juking, jiving, and pro-timing, moving to and fro..stop and go..
Cause that's what made the world go round. At one point, he even seemed to stumble over his pant-legs...but took the tumble and started to spin with it. An improvised break-dance, in the middle of a performance.

So you guys work hard, while I live it up, got it?"That...was too close...he thought as thought slowly returned to him following his near death, hoping that whatever had happened he'd looked as cool as he felt telling off that ******** Spore as he'd collapsed in front of it. Granted, it was impossible to really look good when you were dying, but you could at least do it like a Boss...and he had been a Boss just now, right?
"Not...going anywhere yet," he coughed as he slowly stood up, putting a hand at the girl's shoulder gently...before suddenly scooping under it much more roughly and lifting her into his arms as ANOTHER GOD DAMNED BUD FELL BESIDE THEM! "Yaksa! Stall it!" Touma screamed out and sent his fat swordsman in to deal with the Spore while he ran his companion to safety. "s**t, s**t! We have to get back to the base now..." he thought, ignoring the numb tingling in his legs after the near death...but knowing he couldn't stop if he wanted to make it back alive at this point. She held tight to him as he took them away from ONE MORE spore that crashed behind them. "This is getting ridiculous!" Luvi shouted exasperated. Seriously... just how many of those things could drop on them before they reach the base or die asphyxiated? She didn't want to find out.
A group of demons followed at the buds' wake... and the white haired artist clicked on her phone to bring out both her demons. Leanan Sidhe crushed them with giant icecles, giving them a bit more of space to run.
Finally they were 'safe' for the moment... and she stood right up beside the pink haired drummer. "Thank you for that... How are you feeling?"
