She might have woken up. She might have. But the feel of boots against her body kept her down, even as the red eye left her, and she was nothing but a swollen, beaten mess. She listed limply against Otto, and remained safely unconscious, as if something within her mind knew to protect her from what the waking world held for her right now. She was alive, but if she woke up, she wouldn't want to be.

[courtyard- Horace] He opened his mouth to say something else to Jan when suddenly, the luckiest back-pack in the world attacked. All that came out of Horace's mouth was a strange croak as he fought to breathe. For a few moments, he simply froze, blue eyes dilating in pure fear. But this wasn't before, it wasn't chains, but arms. It wasn't. He twisted wildly, wishing that maybe Lucky wasn't quite a barnacle. Jan's words reached Horace's ears and he shook his head violently. No, not a friend. He tried to look pleadingly at the people around him, but it was difficult to do so when he was currently being choked. Honestly, Nellie's pulling was making it worse and spots danced in front of his eyes. Quote: COUNTER: 31 HP: 9/50 RUNIC: daggers

courtyardThe overwhelming nausea gradually subsided, allowing Evan to feel a little steadier on his feet and actually make himself halfway useful holding the courtyard and fending off green-eyed attackers where he could. The giant creature, the apparent source of the outbreak, was downed almost before Evan realized it was up. He could hear the commotion just outside of the courtyard and saw flashes of red in the dark, but did not pursue. There were still people here, and they still needed help. "Milo," he said upon spotting the familiar form of his Sun-brother. "How are you holding up? Where's Noemi?" Quote: virus counter: no? idk?? ?????? hp: 60/60

The kick, rather than stun her, made the girl fly into an even stronger rage. She didn't comprehend her name even though it was Gale calling; for all intents and purposes, it was merely a cry from her prey. She'd get to it eventually. Right now, she wanted to sink her teeth into this guy's arm and taste blood and fury. attacking Bradley for: 8 Stormy hp: 25 (red eyes)

[Oliver - Beach] Somehow, Oliver was not able to follow Horace, not after being smacked by the other hunter. She too was faster than his rage-infused mind could follow. There were other targets nearby... Despite his usual weak demeanour, the creature that Oliver had become did not pull punches as he lunged towards the larger guy who had once brought him candy. The shield barely slowed him down, Oliver just barrelled right through it. Quote: Attacking Dawson: 9HP: 27 Virus: Red Eye medigel Sorry, poor guy can have one more thing to cry about.

???
Hidden from all, she watched them, she watched them bleed, watch them tear, render, destroy each other, watched everything turn to the anger she held.
This was only a part of her design.
The butterflies swarmed around her, more like moths then butterflies, creating a more complete image of what she once was. Long black hair, delicate skin, dark eyes. A hair of red flowers.
She watched, and felt empty, lost, incomplete. She was missing something, and it created a strange tiredness.
"It is time to leave," next to her stood a second figure, and this one looked almost identical to the first, "come home with me." Her hair was more brown then black, but she also commanded the same aura. She wore white flowers, obscured by a crimson cloak. "You belong with us. You have rested enough, now you must continue to fight. Is it not better to continue to mantle and wake?"
"It is time to stay," said a third figure, again so similar yet slightly different then the other two, "come home with me." Her long black hair was tied in a braid, laced with blue flowers. "You may rest here with us. They have taken so much from you, your power is weak. Is it not better to pass the mantle and sleep?"
"It has been a while," she said, and she closed her eyes and suddenly remembered flashes, more broken memories. She had been a queen once, and before that something else, a sorcerer, an enchantress, a goddess, "I feel like I know the both of you."
They didn't say anything, simply looked expectantly at her.
At first nothing happened, and then she dissolved, thousands of butterflies taking to the air. "Eventually." Both the other two left, one butterfly resting in each of their hands.

There should have been something for him to do, but honestly Milo wouldn't have known where to start (such a great Hunter, that one right now). There was obviously something going on at the beach....
"Oh, dude, Evan!" A friendly face! "Last time I saw her we were stuck in the dorms with the vines but then, I dunno, brah.. I was out here and .. this was happening." He looked a little sheepish at the mention of Noemi, even as he waved a hand in front of him in gesture towards .. well, Deus. "Think we gotta get off our asses and do something, ya?"Quote: HP: 50/50 Virus count: nada

Then Peyton had to go and get crazy too. Great. It was really Chel's lucky day. Everyone around her going crazy and FOR ONCE she was the one making good decisions.
Between a bezerking Peyton and a bezerking Jack, there was no question about who she would choose. Peyton lurched forward and Chel pivoted on her foot, holding up her arms and kicking the girl in the shin to try to defuse the situation.
"I swear to god I'm takin' leave forever after this," Chel muttered, eyes flicking between Jack and Peyton, manically trying to watch both at the same time. "Done with this shithole."

CHANCE - BEACHChance was not dead, but he certainly felt like it.
There was something heavy on top of him, though it moved away after a few seconds, and breathing became marginally easier. His throat still felt like he had swallowed sawdust, raw and ragged, and it took him several seconds of dozing in and out of consciousness to realize that someone was trying to talk to him.
A monumental amount of effort later, and Chance forced his eyes open, lashes fluttering, his neck throbbing. He felt bruised and battered, his body aching, but there was a hand on his shoulder, and the sound of someone's terrified voice above him.
He recognized that voice.
"Otto?" Chance murmured hoarsely, voice barely audible, more a whisper than anything else.

He trembled under Rep's hand and wished he could feel as good about this Protection thing. All he felt was intense guilt and self-loathing, dosed with sheer panic. If they all did walk away from this, then how was he going to be seen? What kind of Moon ran away from his duty? What kind of hunter was he? (In a way, dying didn't seem so bad now.) Dawson sucked in a deep breath and wiped at his face sheepishly. "S-Sawry," he mumbled. "I know, I know..." He took a deep breath as asked and hoped the sight didn't make him look like the wife b***h he'd been accused of before. "S'just a lot." And then their peace was promptly disturbed. The thin barrier caved to Oliver's attack, and with a strangled cry Dawsom tried to fend him off, scrabbling to remember how to use his legs. Hp: 24 - 7 (2 from barrier) = 17 Damage: 1 sob

If pulling wasn't going to work, it was time to go for plan B. Releasing her grip on Lucky, Nellie balled up her little fists and started hitting as hard as she could on Lucky's back to try to get him to let go. For all the effort it took out of her, it probably did as much damage as a back massage did without Niffy's help.

He roared in pain as Stormy's teeth bit into his forearm and drew blood. It sent him further into his rage, and he ripped his arm from her mouth. The potshot in the shoulder by Gale was neglegeble; this b***h was biting him.
He tried to hit her and swung super wide in his fury, missing her completely.
