Rikki stopped running as soon as he saw that the pom had been caught. It was disappointing to see it go to a different home, but sort of relieving not to have to deal with that particular trouble maker. As he stood there trying to decide what to do next, another pom ran into his leg and he looked down in surprised.
... "Are you kidding me?"
He picked it up and cuddled it to his chest. Well. That was a weird turn of events.

At long last, the poms rampage was finally put to an end. Their leader, Avery!Pom had been flattened beneath Sheridan. It looked to be a victory for the students except--
"Get the hell off of me..!" Came the enraged, muffled voice beneath the dragon boil.

Holy jack, it talked!
Sheridan nearly jumped, though not before grabbing apparently very disgruntled pom (no way was he letting it escape after all that!). He gave it a wary and quizzical look. He KNEW that pom was different! And then it clicked, wait, this thing WAS Avery? No wonder he always looked so pissed off.

There was a low growl as he was picked up off the ground like a little rag doll. Oh the humiliation!
"Am I?" He asked, though it was clear from both the tone in his voice and the expression on his face that he didn't really care. "How about putting me down, before you start running your mouth off at me, you little snot." Personally, he would have loved to punch the boil for not doing so sooner. Especially now that he knew who and what he really was. But alas, he was stuck with tiny paws that couldn't do squat aside from extending claws.
As for the others. There might have been another harsh glare cast in both Rikki's and Marcus' directions, as they both snatched up a black widow pom for themselves.

Marcus had no ******** to give about glares.
Cass gave worse glares than Avery, (in Marcus's opinion anyway).

Rikki could feel the eyes on him. He turned slowly, his new pet still grasped in his arms in a bit of a hug, to peer at the pom the dragon was holding. Rikki froze at the look his was recieving, going a bit pale. That glare could have melted his skin off.
... He was really glad he'd picked up a different pom.

Rhiannon eyed the talking pom wearily. Not being from Amityville Academy she had no idea who Avery was and decided to ignore the drama playing out at the booth for now.
Spotting a non-talking pom loitering near by she walked over to try and grab it. It was one of the most aggressive poms that she have ever seen. It was biting and clawing at her every time she got close. Just as she was going to give up it slipped on a patch of ice, she quickly grabbed it before it could regain its footing.
