Shira is currently sinking down into dispare. So that is where she had been the last few days. LTs brother contacted me earlier this week and told me we were hanging out today. I don't have the heart to tell him I have although not extreme, but a still very real Androphobia otherwise known as the fear of men. I have only ever known four people who have never brought out this fear in me.
A homosexual guy ive known since I was 11.
My current boyfriend.
My roommate who I've known since before Jesus was born
And a nurse at a hospital I was admitted to back in 07...

iLadyShira-chan Shira is currently sinking down into dispare. So that is where she had been the last few days. LTs brother contacted me earlier this week and told me we were hanging out today. I don't have the heart to tell him I have although not extreme, but a still very real Androphobia otherwise known as the fear of men. I have only ever known four people who have never brought out this fear in me. A homosexual guy ive known since I was 11. My current boyfriend. My roommate who I've known since before Jesus was born And a nurse at a hospital I was admitted to back in 07... ... *curls up into a ball and eats chocolate* I don't scare you do I? D= Then again, if we met, I am rather large and hairy, so that might be scary... I seriously need to figure out how to properly trim a beard. Have you tried asserting power on meeting them? Such as punching them or something? (You probably shouldn't punch people you just met actually...) I doubt, and I'm sure you do too, that there's any real reason to fear ALL men. There's definitely some to worry about, but you're hurting yourself to fear all of them.

Also, you do know that if you're really that scared, you could always decline his invitation. I have to assume it wasn't a "This is going to happen, do not resist, you shall be assimilated." anyways.
Edit: And if it was, seriously? Don't go, cause that's disturbing.

My three biggest fears are Chilopodophobia (Fear of Centipedes), Androphobia (Fear of Men), and the last one doesn't actually have a name, but the fear of Aliens. Like, it's so bad, I can't even watch ET without being frozen in terror. And I mean, like I have a fear of other things, but mostly it's just because I have a healthy respect for them, like snakes for example.

I've been trying to get over my fear, especially since it won't help me at all in the slightest when I get a job. And they do say that the best way to get over your fear is confronting it head on...

iLadyShira-chan I'm not scared by guys over the Internet. It's mostly when I'm near men that I start to panic. My three biggest fears are Chilopodophobia (Fear of Centipedes), Androphobia (Fear of Men), and the last one doesn't actually have a name, but the fear of Aliens. Like, it's so bad, I can't even watch ET without being frozen in terror. And I mean, like I have a fear of other things, but mostly it's just because I have a healthy respect for them, like snakes for example. Is it a fear of centipedes, or just normal everyday, "I don't want those things within three miles of me."? Cause I think most people have that. I used to have a fear of aliens! It was so bad I actually started sleeping upside down so I couldn't see out the window, or in rooms that didn't have windows. Eventually though I just told myself that was retarded and kicked it out of my head. Still sleep upside down though. It's just more comfortable. I can't sleep otherwise. Odd thing though, I always wake up on my back... You have an excellent point. If you really want a job, it's gonna be hard to find one with no men around. (Perhaps a salon?) Especially these days, when it's impossible to find a job anyways. Try not to confront an actual scary man head on though. I'd rather not lose my Shira!

And I tend to carry a switch blade around with me everywhere I go just in case.

But I think that you were just afraid of one male, and you generalized the fear. Like what a psychologist did with a small baby named Albert. He would put a bunny infront of him, and then after the baby played with it, he would slam to pieces of metal together, scaring the baby. Then after a couple of weeks of it ( the mother had no idea this was happening. ) Albert was completely afraid of anything white and furry. Then the Mother watched one session, and took her baby away. it is fairly common for stimulus generalization to come about naturally. I had a dog that was afraid of tall men. There is just something that you don't like about some of these men, something that sets off your fear. The four men that don't scare you just don't seem to exhibit this trait. ( I took a year of Psychology, and I've observed human behavior since I was little. ^.^ I love breaking down human behavioral patterns. ^.^ )
That's my opinion anyway.

Why must Gaia artists be so darn expensive? I dumped all my gold into that replacement guild that we didn't end up needing, and now I'm broke for the next year or so, yet I want art of one of my characters. >.>
