The music continued switching up on it's own, going from one song to the next as each ended. It seemed quite a few had been queued up it seemed. Over the course of the next few minutes the songs changed on their own. All of them relatively up-beat and easy to dance to.

The music took a turn for the exciting - and it was the perfect song for driving them right off the dance floor. Yet Riley hesitated, somewhat sedated by the bliss of the moment, though the idea of Malodore attempting to 'hip thrust' had her shaking with laughter.
I will show you exactly what we will do with this music, mia cara. She tightened her arms around it's waist, and in one easy twirl, she was leading it off the dance floor and back to their table.
Her arms disentangled from around it's waist so it could walk on it's own, but her hand very firmly refused to let go of the claws that her fingers intertwined with. It seemed others of the group had had a similar idea, as she found the table quite full of students - and something much, much better.
Riley perched carefully against the table and leaned back, back, back to steal several sweets right off the abandoned plate.
Well hello there.. She purred seductively to the eclair her tentacle was now burrowing into and sucking the creme out of.

Seeing some others approach, Jericho glanced to see Riley and Mal coming to rest as well. He smiled at them, then watched at the mindflayer made her way towards the unattended plate at the table. Wait.. that plate was full of sugary treats. Before he could say anything, he noticed one of her tentacles having at one of the eclairs.
"..."
The dragon decided to leave her be. It was Prom after all. Plus seeing that wasn't as bad as how it could be.
"How is it?" he asked his best friend.

Lizzy wasn't sure which dessert to start out with; after all, she had taken a little of everything precisely because she had been unable to make up her mind at the refreshment table. When Riley approached, the mindflayer would receive a smile from her before she watched in amazement as she sucked the cream straight out of an eclair. She never knew that they could be eaten that way!
... As unladylike as it looked.
"I hope you like it~" She giggled at Riley, "I thought some... Sugar might be a good way to apologize for Mot leaving you on the dance floor just now." Yes, she was apologizing for her date, "Do save some for everyone though!" She was not aware of Riley's sugar problem, just bits and pieces of it; however, it is prom! Time to let loose, have some fun...
"Um... May I try that?" She gestured at the eclairs on the plate as she blushed, smiling sheepishly as she played with the end of her braid, "I mean... What you just did - sucking the filling out... Can you do that with a mouth?" She sounded absolutely fascinated with the concept.

As it would be a waste of delicious sweets, Riley's tentacle had already begun to slowly pulse the rest of the eclair down into it, much like a snake swallows it's prey. She gave Jericho a nod, replying simply with It's very good, you should have one, before Lizzy's question caught her off guard.
Well, ah, of course you can eat it like that with your mouth. She blinked in slight confusion at the question, then took Lizzy's hand and pulled her over to stand in front of her, and held up an eclair in one tentacle. Here, just suck on it. It's not hard.
And for once, Riley really didn't mean for her words to sound anything but earnest.

She stood in front of Riley when she was tugged there, giving her a nod to show that she understood before bringing her lips to the eclair. Biting down on it, allowing the creme to be exposed, she then blushed (and hoped nobody but Riley was looking in her direction) before sucking the creme out with a rather determined expression, although her eyes soon closed.
Did I mention that she was still blushing?

Chuckling, Jericho nodded and he was about to grab one for himself. However, he paused as he heard Lizzy interject. Blinking at the spider demon, he was about to say something when Riley had answered. The dragon's mouth remained slightly open at the instructions she had given the other girl.
"Uh.. wait..." he started but it was far too late.
"...."
He couldn't look away once more. A part of him wanted to but... he just couldn't.

"Ah, we snack, naturally. It would require energy to keep up such frenetic movement for any length of time." Malodore said, amused. It sat down as well, grateful for the break, reaching out to steal an eclair of its own - though it gave the eating tentacle a wide berth. "And after I worked so hard to find snacks with a high brain content for you at the last dance," it lamented. ... But why on earth was Lizzy blushing so? What an odd response.

"Ohh..." She giggled softly, rather proud at her 'success'. She soon realized, however, that it had left a bit of creme around her lips. Thus, using a finger, she quickly wiped it off before placing said finger into her mouth, licking the creme away before smiling sheepishly.
... Again while blushing. She would have blushed more if she knew that there were people staring, but for now, since her attention was on Riley, she was quite unaware.

Sharra was fortunate enough to have missed the cold chill of Cricket's visit...there had been a moment of utter distraction as he had tried to ignore the bug, watched Yaya frantically scurry to keep Aksaja from killing it, and to release the tiny thing where it would be less creepy. Siccing one's bugs on people was hardly professional in his opinion, but you wouldn't catch him saying so...not when a certain teacher was in question.
The nergal then straightened his cuffs, and went off after his date and his friend. "Yaya...?" It was about time, he thought, that they returned to the main event of this party, before it decided to completely wind down. Weaving his way through a student or three, he moved to catch at her arm....just a brush of warm fingers against her tanned skin, a bright smile there to try to reassure her. After all, it seemed that the events had unsettled her, something that the demon quite intended to do his best to chase away.
"Aksaja, you may just have to excuse us..." He informed the other boil, winking just a touch, with that subtle tilt of his head. Because no matter how much fun his friends might be...there was a dazzling ghoul that effortlessly outshone them.

Riley let Lizzy take hold of the eclair once she'd successfully proven that it was possible, and patted her on the shoulder. See? That wasn't so hard. Riley leaned back and took a cookie from the plate, straightening back up just in time to see Lizzy licking creme off her fingers. Riley's head tilted to one side, feeling a sudden flush of excitement that she knew she probably shouldn't, but then-
Jericho. She snapped, pointing her finger accusingly at the dragon. You should. Ah. You know what's nice? Dead puppies. Dead puppies are nice, Jericho.
Yes, she was trying to distract him. It would not do to feel this way.
She broke her cookie in half, and offered Malodore the other half. Don't worry. I've been working on building somewhat of a tolerance. I simply need to make sure I don't over-do it. She munched on her cookie happily, but her eyes kept flickering to Jericho warily.
...deadpuppies.

Staring blankly still, Jericho quickly snapped out of his little trance as Riley's voice rang clearly in his mind. Grinning nervously at her, he chuckled before finally managing to turn away from what Lizzy was doing. She just had to make things worse and all.
Nodding to Mal, he coughed and reached for a cupcake to attempt to distract himself with.
Yes. He would eat this cupcake. Like a boss.

The song came to an end and Mitsu felt like it was far too soon. As Shun pulled back and gave her another bow she looked rather surprised to be thanked for the dance. A smile working its way across her face once more she gave a nod. "You're welcome."
"I'm sure you're ready for a break," Mitsu commented softly as the song lapsed into another tune. "Why don't we head back to the table." Lightly she reached out to tug on his sleeve a little, her body turning back in the direction of their friends.
Heading off the dance floor Mitsu made her way back to the table seeing that a few others had returned as well and that there was now a new plate of deserts though this one didn't look as chocolate free as the last. The sad thing though...while she knew she shouldn't eat chocolate, she also knew that it tasted wonderful. Funny thing how temptation worked.
Ignoring the treats for now Mitsu took a seat having missed the eclair event all together. No doubt she would have asked about it as well only to make the situation....more interesting.
"Hello again," Mitsu smiled looking much more chipper than she had all night. She wasn't greeting any one person in particular, just the group as a whole.

Nodding to the girl, Shun placed his hands into his pockets and headed back towards the table as well. Thankfully for him, they had arrived after the whole eclair deal so he didn't have to deal with another... uncomfortable situation. He did notice that Mitsu still seemed rather elated from the dance, which definitely made the endeavor worth it in his opinion.
Once she had seated herself, he picked out the chair next to her, glancing to each of the others at the table in turn. For a moment or so, his gaze lingered on the plague doctor, not recognizing... him? Her? It.
It also looked like there was something wrong with Jericho, but he wasn't really paying attention to the dragon.
Relaxing in his seat, he just shifted his focus over towards Mitsu in the meantime.

The ghoul had paused on her way to the double doors, stopping short of them just before the brush of warm fingers graced her arm. A perplexed sort of expression marring exotic features as she stared down at the hands she held open in front of her. "It's gone," she mused softly as the nergal boil settled at her side, a thoughtful frown tugging at her lips. It had just been there, very alive within her fingers, and suddenly gone. Not that she was really complaining, she hadn't liked the feel of it on her, but it had up and vanished. She turned blue eyes up to her boil. Eyes that seemed glow ever so softly in the dimness near the doors. You couldn't tell in the light, but here and now, with the lights dimmed, it was quite apparent. She was as of yet not aware of the change. Seeking comfort in the presence of her beloved, the ghoul slide in against his side, curling henna traced arms around his body to offer a fond squeeze as she let herself relax against him. She didn't want to think about Cricket or the last class she'd attended with the Nurse. This was prom, it was supposed to be happy, and she was going to have a good time. At the nergal boil's words to their friend the ghoul offered only an apologetic smile. They could mingle later, she promised but for now she had other plans. The music had changed a few times now since her little scare, and the song that was blaring over the speakers now was one the ghoul rather liked. "Sharra," her voice was soft, head tilting up to brush her lips against his chin. "I believe it is time for a dance."
