Mala nodded. "Sure can!" she said, going on to prepare the cooking fire as soon as she could - even going so far as to get firewood on her own as quickly as she could.

"Shame we didn't walk a little further, there's a great lake nearby!" Van said as he emerged from the trees later with a grin and his hands full of fish that were already skewered on sticks and still twitching slightly.

Mala already had the fire set up, and was sitting by it with a grin. "Really? I'll have to check it out, then! By the way, does the water seem clean enough for a quick bath before we head off later?"

"Certainly seemed like it to me. I was kinda thinking the same thing myself really. Can't remember the last time we had a chance to bathe." Van said sticking the stick'd fish in the ground before tying his hair back.

"Good. I'd rather not go too long without bathing if it can be helped." Mala said, having grown so used to not smelling like sweat and dirt and more like cleanliness and scented oils.

"I'm sure you'll lose that mentality once you remember how rare it is to find a good clean source of water to bathe in in between towns." Van said shedding his vest, shirt, and sunglasses.

"True enough. Still, there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of such a luxury if you can afford to." Mala pointed out, brushing a stray strand of reddish blonde hair out of her face.

"Food's gonna take a while to cook. I'm sure Riley and Angel can tend to it once they start to smell it." Van said sticking his hands in his pockets as he looked over at the pair, Riley apparently having fallen back asleep while waiting for Angel to wake up and get off of him. "Which means we can probably sneak off for a bit in the mean time." he said looking back at Mala with a smile as he waggled his eyebrows.

Mala's calm and friendly expression was quickly exchanged for an impish smirk. "Indeed we could~" she purred, standing herself up and reaching out her hand to help Van up.

Van grinned as he took Mala's hand leading the way to the wondrous lake in question.
((Van wasn't actually sitting down, but I never really specified one way or the other, so whatevs. XD ))

{Oh, sorry! >.<}
Mala couldn't help but feel delight. That lake water would probably feel so nice against her skin, she couldn't help but think.

Once at the lake's edge, Van stripped the rest of the way down, leaving his clothes on a nearby rock before wading in. "Hoo! It's colder than I thought!" he said once he got waist deep.

Mala soon undressed as well and joined him, not really minding if the water would be cool. In fact, she would preffer cool water to warm water at the moment. "Oooh, you're right! The water is nice and cool!" she said, looking quite happy with the current water temperature.

Van meanwhile had made it in to where the water was at his shoulders, dunking down to get his whole head wet before coming back up for air. "Now there's a wake up call!" he said wiping the water from his eyes. "And I'm assuming you've got soap in that magical bag of stuff?"

The woman nodded, reaching over for the pouch that was burried in her clothes. She sunk her arm deep into it - deeper than what looked to be physically possible, and ended up pulling out a couple bars of soap - handing one to Van and keeping one for herself. "Damn that thing's useful." she said, grinning at Van once more.
