Al zoomed out of the gates, his permission scroll a flash in the eyes if the guards, while being chased by incredibly catchy chase music and 'probably' dragging Bast with him. He was late, after all...

Bast walked out of the Gates. Her gourds, weapons, flask and heavy armor disappeared, but her white cloak remained to stave off the heat of the desert. Mononoke appeared at her side with a large jug of tea, which the woman happily accepted. Also at the golem's side was a square box with heavier clothes in it for when they reached the chilly north.
