Occupation - Being Adorable. : D
Hobbies/Interests - Reading, writing, animals, science, history, roleplaying, fashion, junk food, comic books, secretly hating my gym teachers, writing in my journal, cute things, music, singing, religion, meeting new people, and hating Twilight.
Favorites - I love the Broadway musicals Rent, Wicked, and Hairspray. My favorite band is Rascal Flatts; my best guyfriend introduced me to them. c: My favorite food is spaghetti and my favorite snack is pretzels with peanut butter. My favorite authors are Michael Crichton and Lee Child. I love all sorts of books, mostly sci-fi and murder mysteries.
Misc. - I'm currently in a relationship with somebody that I love dearly. <3 I started the Jewish Club at my school and am a Conservative Jew. I start school tomorrow (August 10) and am NOT happy about that. XD

IRL Stuff - Hey, sup guys. Names Ben. I'm 17, and a senior at high school. I am from America (I won't be any more specific than that).
Gaia Info - I've been a member for a while now. 3 years, I think. I've been going on and off. I suck at making friends on here since the site is so big, and I'm always either extremely active for months or not active at all. So, hopefully I'll make some good friends here. That and I spent 20k on a guild I never use, which was pretty stupid of me, but it's only a site.
Occupation - I'm a student in high school and I'm a shadow for a student with a learning disability in a hebrew school. It's a tough job, but it's rewarding, depending on the student. Last year, I had this great girl, even made me a pencil holder. I loved her so much, she was great, but now I have this kid who's really a handful, and it's tough. He's really gross, but not much I can really do except be there by his side. He needs a lot more attention and so on, and he has trouble controling his emotions. Hobbies/Interests - I play guitar, I like to read, I hope to be a writer someday, I play video games, and not much else. I don't really talk about myself unless it's something bad, since I feel like it's braging, even though it isn't.
Favorites - The Beatles is my fave band ever. They were brilliant. My favourite video game is No More Heroes. Really witty stuff in there. I have too many books and movies to really list here, but I adore Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was absolutely mindbending.
Misc. - I'm also a Jewish Athiest, just so you guys know. I'd rather not talk about it here, that's a discussion for another day. My parents are also Israeli, and I can speak fluent Hebrew, but I'm still learning to read and write.
That's it really. I probably put in too many details, but it doesn't matter all that much now.

I identify myself as an American even though that isn't my ethnicity, so why can't you call yourself both a Jew and an Atheist if that is what you identify with?
It's nice to meet you Ben, I'm Catherine.

I don't think Judaism is an ethnicity or a race, I'm just saying that if you identify with both your mother's Jewishness as well as your own religious beliefs than why can't you just say that? It's a culture nonetheless, just like being an American, and culture transcends religion.

I actually know a few Americans who consider themselves Jewish Athiests. They aren't from Israel, their parents aren't from Israel, or anything like that. It's a growing idea. For me, it's the culture of the religion, the culture of Israel, the teachings, the people, the food. I just don't believe in God. It's a myth, as many other religions are considered to be, but Judaism is such an important thing for it to just die, especially in the wave of recent events, including the Holocaust. Judaism is such a wonderful thing, and I celebrate all the holidays, I attend high holiday services with a Chasidc synagogue in my area. They are very accepting, very nice people. I'm very strange, I guess, but it's what what I am.
