The first (and therefore most plentiful) ingredient on a can of Spicy Spam is "Mechanically seperated chicken."
Oh no, not just "chicken," mechanically seperated . There's the key to all the gelatinous-meaty glory of Spam.

Heh... I happen to have a can of Spam handy - I keep it in my room to haunt me. I'm afraid to try it. sweatdrop
Ingredients (exactly how they appear on the can): Pork with Ham, Salt, Water, Sugar, Sodium Nitrate.
Hey... the Spam can is recyclable...
