 DokuThe small Eevee buried his face in Zori's fur, still bawling.
"Evolved or not, I can't let you risk your life like that without me there to help you!"
He was well aware that Zori had her friends and teammates there to assist her, but he felt that he was the one who was supposed to protect her.

  Zori & Suki & Frost"I'm going to take Frost home. If you go back out there, be careful." The Mismagius informed her partner, and Zori nodded slightly, more preoccupied with calming her protective lover than taking home a drugged-up Growlithe.
She nuzzled him reassuringly. "I'm here now, Doku. I don't have to go back and fight just yet." She purred sweetly. The air around her seemed... cleaner. Easier to breathe. It was probably because of her new abilities as a Leafeon. They purified the air around them, like plants.
"But if it helps, I'll talk to the nurses about having you come with me, alright~?" She continued in a gentle purr.

DokuDoku blubbered a little and wiped the tears from his eyes.
"I don't need permission from anyone! If you're going out there to fight again, I'm going with you no matter what!"
The Eevee knew he wasn't much of a fighter, but he still had other uses.
For example, if an attack was sent at Zori, he could block it and sacrifice himself for her.
Very young.
Veeeeery brave.
Although this braveness could also be called idiocy.

ZoriZori's blood seemed to freeze in her veins as she pictured her love lying dying and bleeding on the battlefield.
She wrapped a paw around him, drawing him tight to her soft, furry body. A tear slipped down her face. "Like hell you're going injured, Doku!" She growled fiercely, with Doku's head pressed up against her chest. "Did you ever once think of what would happen to me if you were gone?! Well?! DID YOU?!" She snapped at him, her eyes darkening with pain.
She kissed his forehead, wrapping her long, leafy tail around Doku. "...I can't lose you, Doku... I-I lost Legacy... I wouldn't live through losing both of you."

Lloyd nodded, moving to retrieve the Arceus damned heavy Raichu and tote him to the morgue over his shoulder.
Jazz watched with teary eyes until the Weavile returned and motioned for the tiny electric type to follow him.
The Raichu complied and trotted along at Lloyd's heels like a lost puppy.
Orion sighed, watching this, and shook his head. Poor kid.
With a pop he had vanished in a teleport once more, to return to the battlefield.
"Oh no, Spike. Hold on, it's okay! I'm right here!" The Lucario pushed into the room and was at the Absol's side in a matter of seconds, and attempting to calm him down and pin him from thrashing about before he hurt himself.

  Vito---&--- Spike---&--- DokuDoku looked up at Zori, his eyes still a little red.
"B-But I can't lose you! I can't even remember half my life, and the half I can remember revolves around you!" He cried.
"Actually, he's more fit now to fight than ever before," A nearby nurse said.
"BUT I-.. Wait, what?"
"That blow to your head actually jostled up your mind a bit so it can focus on things much easier."
With a grunt, Vito accompanied Lloyd and Jazz.
"Your friend is still in surgery. I'll let you go in and see him a few minutes after it's done," He said gruffly to the young Raichu.
Spike was still struggling until he felt Spira's paws on him.
"S-Spira... Spira..." He whimpered softly as he began to calm down, somehow soothed by the Lucario's presence.
The nurses made quick work of the time they had, quickly bandaging the ripped up parts of Spike's face.

ZoriZori pressed her muzzle to Doku's, her golden eyes fixed nervous on the nurse as she spoke. She still felt a little unsure, but decided that if the nurse said he was fit to fight, it must be true. She glanced down at the Eevee, and sighed.
"Then at least let me help your skull heal that last little bit." She insisted, closing her eyes.
As she focused, the lights seemed to glow with a natural warmth that electric lighting never truly captured; sunlight. The Leafeon was using Sunny Day. The air warmed up slightly from the sunlight shining down. She opened her eyes, focusing instead on Doku, and used Synthesis. Normally the attack was used on yourself, but if you pressed enough energy into it...
She felt energy flow from herself, drawing in sunlight from around her, and into Doku. For a few moments, she could hear his heartbeat thrumming in her ears along with her own, and she staggered, finally dropping the spell. She was breathing a little hard, having already been exhausted from fighting. But now Doku's skull was as strong as ever; she felt safe letting him join her in battle.
"Th-there..." She murmured dizzily. "... Now let's get going; I need to check on my team, and one of your teammates is out there, too. Rico, I think his name was." She purred, taking in energy from the sunlight around her until the warmth faded completely from the room. She crouched, slightly, in case he wanted a lift.

Jazz nodded slowly and sat down on a nearby bench, it wasnt long before he drifted off to sleep.
Lloyd, in a rare showing of kindness, tossed a blanket over the small Raichu before joining Vito in the hall.
"...cant believe it." He shook his head, still in slight disbelief over the older Raichu's death.
Spira breathed a sigh of relief and slumped into the nearby chair.
Once Spike had calmed down she scratched the back of her head.
"Damn, Spikey. Why you have to scare me like this all the time?"

Vito---&--- Spike---&--- DokuDoku blinked in disbelief a few times as the pain in his head subsided.
"Zori..."
He hopped onto the Leafeon's back and kissed the top of her head.
"You're amazing~"
Vito sighed and leaned on a wall, crossing his arms.
"It's not fair. I should be the dead one, not everybody who's younger than me," He hissed.
Next to Orion, Vito was the oldest Pokemon around.
"Even you almost died, while I sit here with nothing but a few old scars and a hole in my shoulder."
Spike remained motionless for a moment, breathing softly.
Then, a weak voice spoke out.
"S... So I could c-catch a glimpse of your p-pretty face..."
A weak smile showed on the wounded Absol's face.

ZoriZori purred happily, padding smoothly for the hospital's exit. "Just wait until you evolve, and we'll see who's truly amazing, Love." She replied knowingly, her calm voice echoing around the hall.
She left, heading for the war camp with Doku still clinging to her soft, charcoal fur.

Lloyd frowned, glancing to the sleeping Raichu and then to Vito without changing expressions.
"...your still here for a reason, you old ********. Maybe someone has to be witness to all this bullshit."
The orange Weavile glanced at the ceiling thoughtfully.
"...and it seems your the only one who can deal with it. The rest of us are useless sacks of s**t."
Spira blinked and then smiled.
"There are less painful ways to get my attention, smartass. Let's not make a habit of this hospital deal." She reached over and messed up the Absol's hair, mostly because she knew it bugged him.

"I'm too old for this. Did you know I once planned to grow old peacefully, with somebody to love and grow senile with?" He said.
"Now it seems I'll end up going insane with all this s**t on my shoulders..."
Inside the operating room, the surgery was coming to a close.
Spike groaned a little as his hair was messed with.
"Hey, Gimme a break... It's not like I wanted to be here. It's that damn Weavile's fault..." He replied with annoyance.
"And besides, we never get to hang out anymore."

The younger Weavile sighed once and then smiled at a thought that occured to him.
"..I'll go senile with ya~"
The Lucario punched one fist into her other palm with a snarl.
"That damned Weavile. He annoys me almost as badly as Orson! I'll force feed him his own a**!"

Vito---&--- SpikeVito chuckled a little and kissed Lloyd's cheek.
"I don't think you'd want to go crazy this early in your life. By the way, wanna get married?" He suggested.
It was quite a nonchalant suggestion.
At the mention of Orson, Spike couldn't help but smile.
"I know I should be feeling bad, but I'm happy Orson's dead..." He muttered softly.
"Now that he's gone, I can finally date someone without being dragged off for sex..."

Lloyd chuckled, "Sure let's go for it. Chances are we might all die any second now cause of this damned war."
It worried him sometimes, whether or not Vito would be around the next day since the idiot had to go and get cancer. Now this war appears and Arceus with all the injured Pokemon.
Spira snickered.
"Yeah, I was getting tired of saving you every five seconds too!"
She leaned back, arms folded behind her head.
