Ai lalughs and promises her strawberry ice cream when they get back. Looking at her happy face Ai winks at Fortuny. "I think I may have found a surprise cure in that."

Ai smiles at her. "No problem, I'll put her down... Singing children to sleep is my specialty." She looks up ans sees Kero moving to a ledge nearby and smiles widely. "I promised to groom him... have fun ladies."
Swimming over to his side, she flicks water at his face and grins. "Ready? I can get a brush from Salunia's basket... won 't be as good as when I have two hands, but I can try... ye never complained before ye know."

Laughing she retrieves one of the coarse brushes and sliding it on a paw, she sits down beside him and begins to carefully groom him, working it into his fur with a vengeance. "How's that?" she asks, working between his shoulder blades.

She moves in closer and continues to work on his back, using long slow strong strokes, like a firm massage, up and down his back. "Anywhere else, dulcha? How's yer neck?" she asks as she works leaning slightly against him for balance.

She starts at his neck and begins to work her way down, but when she reaches his stomach she freezes. "Ummm... Kero... maybe ye should finish the rest yerself..." she whispers awkwardly, "We're not exactly alone here."

"Are ye sure?" she asks quietly picking the brush back up and returning to work on his back. Her strokes are slower now and a little shaky, but she doesn't run away.

She sighs heavily and lies down beside him. "I hope so, cause I'm scared half out of my wits..." she replies under her breath. Leaning up against him she closes her eyes and listens to the beating of his heart... slow... steady... mechanical in many ways, but soothing in it's odd familiar way.

"Dunno... just am..." sighs Ai softly. "I'm afraid it's a dream.... afraid I might wake up... afraid... hell I don't know why I"m afraid..." she adds in a much smaller voice.
