Yes, my image is disgusting and maybe I should explain why I am using mind over matter and changing my diet to mostly vegetables, nuts, soy, and fruits with fewer servings of breads. My diet is for true health reasons nothing more. On top of every 7 years my diabetes and cholesterol become unstable as my body enters menopause, I have also went back eating what I know is not good for my body. To stay away from medication to control them, I change my diet to omit the foods that are causing the problems in my health. The last change stabilized the diabetes and reduced my cholesterol from 325 to 170.

I feel a natural way is better than western civilization medicine of medications. By the way, before trying the natural way that a friend introduce me to and a book called Food for Life, I use to take many different medications that made me walk around like the walking dead.

Happy 4th! I will be at work today for most of it, so I had to enjoy myself at a party yesterday.

I read Food for Life a few years ago, I thought it was a pretty good book.

it all depends on how u go about planning a wedding. if u're smart & start early enough, u'd be right. otherwise there are bits about wedding planning that can ruin a person...

Renovating a house can be stressful. I'll send you strength, energy, and patience. I can relate. biggrin My husband and I are renovating a house that one wing dates back to 1750's and the new wing dates back to 1850's. Right now, the bathroom is torn apart and is getting a marble floor, wainscot, wall paper that matches the late 1800's, pedestal sink, new toilet and shower. At the same time, I am working on the outside gardens and trying to restore them to their 1800's look.

Thanks, it is rough. The past owner let the house go to crap. It's a 1900 late style Victorian. The guy who had the house let all the ornamental designs rot away and we are currently working on the gardens, replacing a rotted floor that has two layers of flooring on top of the original which we are taking the entire floor apart and then retiling it Then I have to do the same to the front porch and mudroom. Plus whatever else I have to do to up the value. When the economy went downhill the value on the house went down 10,000. And you know a bank will not finance a loan for a house that will be sold at a higher value just so I can break even for what I bought it for
We did start getting rid of a lot of stuff but with two family members moving, my house has become a storage unit.
But I must say your house sounds beautiful. I am saving up for a farm house out in the country. Which I will not mind fixing up since I plan on living there for awhile. But I have to get rid of mine first. I'm working two jobs right now to save up for the down payment.

But I think the most stressful part is that there are houses around mine for sale. These houses have been on the market between 6 months and a year and they are not selling. Two people gave up and rented their houses out. One of the houses across the street from me has reduced their price in order to sell. The current price is 30,000 less than what I paid for mine and 40,000 less than what is currently estimated to be worth and its not selling. The rest of the stress is my horrible neighbors. But the housing market is absolutely ridiculous right now.
