"Well, we're probably in the same boat."
Jack sighed loudly. He put an arm around Takiko, trying to be empathetic. He groaned quietly.
"Two people I've killed... one innocent... the other family. The family was good cause... but it still hurts more than the innocent."

"Yeah. That's just how it is when it comes to your own flesh and blood..."Takiko was quiet for a few moments. She thought about her family. Their faces were only a brief figment of her fading memories. A sign of when she was done thinking, was a sad sigh coming from her lips.
"I basically grew of in New York. My family is in Japan, I think... They are not my family anymore, merely memories..."

"At least you had one," Jack said. "Mine we're always gone... save my sister. She was a hard-a** at times, but at least she cared. She was there for me when I needed someone... even if her support was unorthodox. Still, it felt good knowing she was there. Like I said though, she got me mad enough where I stormed out. When I became... well, what I am now... I guess Lycans found out. They turned her."
Jack rubbed his eyes. Soon, he seemed to squeeze the bridge of his nose. He felt tense and somewhat angry. He shook his head.
"When I came home one day... she was waiting. She told me to go. After a while... she changed into that wolf-like form. She went ballistic and started to attack me. I tried not to fight her... but after a while, I lost it to. My sword... I meant to just defend myself. I ended up stabbing her right in the heart. She changed back to her human form right before she died."
Jack burried his face into his hands. He could feel his eyes beginning to tear up. He didn't want Takiko to see. His fingers twitched for a bit as he took in a deep breath and exhaled.
"I stayed with her the whole night... probably seven or eight hours. I cried the whole time... and I never really cried before that. It felt like torment... letting everything that I felt for the past 13 years before that.

Takiko hugged him when she saw him try to hide tears. She couldn't even guess what he felt. Without a family, Takiko always felt alone. Takiko wanted to explain to him; the words never came. She couldn't speak, from the mere thought of what he must be going through. The grief must be uncontrollable.

Jack could feel the arms of Takiko embracing him. With one hand, he grabbed one of her other hands, still covering his face with another. He hated it when others saw him displaying emotion like that. He figured though that he might as well show it since everyone else saw it sooner or later. He wiped his face with the spare hand let out a rather remorseful sigh. Many times he wished he could have taken that moment back. He knew fair and well that the moment could never come.
"I should be looking past that... but that's the one part of the past I can't get rid. Hah. Time heals all wounds my a**."

Takiko slowly shook her head in remorse to the dead saying she had heard so much. "Time only makes things worse. yet it is a river we much follow, in hope of things getting less sorrowful." It was the first time in a long while that Takiko had spoke from her heart like that. It was deep, her sorrow even heard in her voice. Even the wannabe-optomistic vampire she was, she doubted her own words.

Emerald was leaning against the wall beside Danny's apartment, a cigarette in her hand. As she blew out a trail of smoke, her eyes wandered to her lovers? apartment door. 'Why do I say lover? I don't even know him that well.....Can I trust him?' She thought to herself before taking another long drag on her cigarette. 'We did have sex together....But was that enough for me to put my trust in this man? He could be like his brother, cunning, evil, unforgiving.' She shivered again, remembering that fateful night when Russ Dumile had sired her when she was suppose to be going to her birthday bash. 'b*****d, I'll kill him someday...Vampires like him don't stay dead.'

He wandered though a row of apartments as a thin trail of smoke followed him from the cigarette that rested in his lips. As he walked his humed an erie tune to himself no really caring where he ended up or who he ran into he was just out for a night on the town but slowly becoming more and more bored.

After two cups of coffee and pacing for over an hour, Fate could stand it no longer. Something was bidding her to come outside, and she had to obey.
She placed the coffee cup, with a loud clatter, into the sink. Fate threw on a pair of Vans and a black jacket. She felt silly, but ignored it and teleported to the opposite side of the door.
When she heard someone unlocking their door, her ears perked with alarm. Fortunately, the person's back was turned. Sighing with relief, Fate hurried to the lobby, but halted at the desk.
"Good evening ma'am. What can I do for you?"
"Someone busted in my door yesterday, Room 21. I don't suppose you can have it repaired before I return tonight?"
"Good lord.. Yes, I'll get right on it. Do you know who it was that barged in?"
"No.. but my male friend does. A woman I believe, but that's all I know."
She bid him off and exited to the streets.

Emerald grew bored of standing beside Danny's apartment so she left, the cigarette still in her hand. A woman passed her, a vampire that looked interesting. After watching her speak to the man at the lobby, she noticed the woman leave and she decided to follow, putting out her smoke as she did.

"True... I suppose you're right about that."
Jack chuckled weakly as he rose his head. His tears had stopped flowing from his eyes, but they were still noticeably moist. He looked up towards the ceiling. The light above him began to flicker. He narrowed his eyes with curiosity. He soon lowered his head and shook it, dismissing the minor inconvenience.
"A friend of mine once said... time heals all wounds... but a lifetime isn't long enough."

Takiko let out a small laugh, more like a chuckle. Takiko knew what it felt like, to feel like you have a new life. Any amount of time would not be enough. After passing out of her thoughtful state. Takiko did something drastic once more. Perhaps it was her need to make her friend feel better, since she knew it would at least him put him in a diffrent mood. She leaned close to him, feeling the warmth of his skin for a moment. Before her lips met his. This time she kept her lips on his for a while longer than before.

Jack was once again caught off guard. However, this time, he recovered it a lot more quickly though. Soon, he began to kiss her back. He put an arm around her and leaned in. He was gentle but firm at the same time. He now knew he wanted her. He did feel something for her. He wonder how long she felt something for him... if she did at all. When they stopped, he kept his head low for a second, a relieved smile on his face.
"Thank you."

"Feel better?" Takiko asked with a smile on her lips. Deep within her heart, she began to think how long she had felt like this for him. There was a deep emotion to make her kiss him. Of course, there was that wonder if he felt the same for her.

He rose his head and smiled at Takiko. He gave her another kiss, keeping a hand on her neck. He still smiled at her.
