Kyuubi hled his head. The anger was swelling. It was one thing to kidnap one person, but to endanger the entire castle, and possibly land. That was too much. Satori was losing it. He was gonna lose the thing he wanted to control. Kyuubi knew Satori was doing this only to anger him but that thought was thrown to the back of his mind. He had to get out of this fire. He wouldn't leave until this fire was gone. He frantically looked for an opening. There wasn't one. He would have to run through the fire. He took a deep breath and ran through to where he hoped was safe. The pain was unbeleiveable. He had been burned by his brother before but never like this. The fire engulfed him. He knew he wouldn't be able to put it out as long as Satori was near.
He burst free of the forest and as he thought he was on fire. He decided to do the only thing he could think of to stop it. He created new fire around his body and pushed it outward. It worked. The explosion made Satori's fire get off of him. He was burned and he knew it. He panted hard. He looked back at the fire. A figure stepped out of it. His brother. "Saotri" he panted angrily.
"Oh, Kyuubi your eyes are all red" Satori said in a fake brotherly tone. "Is something wrong." he smiled.
Kyuubi couldn't hold it any longer the anger was ready to explode from him. Suddenly it felt as if he had fallen asleep. He was seing something that wasn't real but he knew it was. He wasn't in control any longer. He flung at Satori with lightning running through his hands. That is all Kyuubi remembered. He woke up and everything was fine. He was on the grass. The forest next to him was ash. There was no sign of blood. Not even a sign of someone fighting back. The only marks he saw he knew he made. He was ashamed of himself he let himself lose control. He made the forest regrow. It took a while but it was back to normal. After that he stood there. He heard someone breathing heavily, scared. He looked and saw Vincent.
((wow that was long for me lol))

Lorrie…Catherine…Etterling Can you feel it breaking? Into p i e c e s underneath? How much time till I ~/ shatter ~ ? I’d rather not think. I’d rather not breath. Can I ever be completely free from you? Forgetting all the hurt…{inside}. I’ve learned to ~HiDe~ so well. Don’t be afraid. I’ve taken my >>beating. I’ve shed all of me. The room was her haven. Chocolate wrappers were scattered around and several tragic love movies littered the floor. The curtains were closed, and the room was dark. Lorrie was curled under her duvet sleeping the day away…again. The room had been her safe house or perhaps prison was a more correct term. After her night in the tree, she had locked herself in her room secluding herself from the rest of the world. It had been a long couple days as she had cried till her eyes were red and raw, gorged herself on chocolate and self-pity, and then zoned out her feelings by watching some of the most tragic love movies of all time. It had not been the healthiest of ways to try and get over what she had seen, but she had been feeling extremely pathetic the first couple days and this was just a reason to let all those feelings loose.
A loud knock on her door caused her to groan and slowly blink sleep away from her tired eyes. Stumbling out of her bed, she made her way to her door and opened it squinting in the sudden light. Lorrie’s appearance was one of careless abandon. Her hair was tousled and tangled. Mascara tear tracks streaked her cheeks, and her eyes were bloodshot. She was dressed in her biggest t-shirt and baggiest sweatpants, and it looked like she hadn’t showered in a couple days either. Her visitor stared in disbelief. Finally the teenaged girl exclaimed, “Oh my God! Lorrie, what happened to you?” All the while pushing her friend back into the room and switching on the lights.
“Maddie what are you doing here?” Lorrie asked confused as she watched her friend start cleaning her room. Lorrie could not think of a single reason her friend would be here. Maddie was still in school, too, and unless she received a divine revelation from God there was no way she would know Lorrie needed her.
“It’s parents’ day darling, and your parents couldn’t come so they sent me instead.” Maddie huffed as she continued picking up trash from around the room.
“But, your schoo—,”
“I’m in college now. Remember? Our classes start later than yours, and it’s a good thing too because right now you need some TLC, Hun.” Lorrie stared as her friend finished removing the floor of debris and went into the bathroom turning on the shower to a steamy temperature. Ushering Lorrie into the bathroom, Maddie told her sternly to not come out till she was “cleaned, steamed, and un-zombified.” Obediently, Lorrie stepped into the hot water letting the drumming rivulets of water wash away the last few days’ embarrassment, anger, betrayal, and hurt. Lorrie scrubbed furiously feeling if she cleaned enough it would wash away her feelings. It had been a miracle to her that Maddie had shown up just when she needed her. Somehow, Maddie always knew when Lorrie needed her and exactly what to do to make her feel better. For an instant, Lorrie felt a twinge of guilt. Maddie always helped her pick up the pieces of her soul, yet she never knew what to do for Maddie. Maddie always said she didn’t need anything and she seemed like a genuinely happy person, but Lorrie knew she had problems of her own too though she never shared them. So, she did what she could just by being there for her even if that meant going to her house at 2 a.m. and just being there for her. Hopefully, Lorrie thought, their friendship was beneficial for both parties.
Finishing her shower and looking in the mirror, Lorrie concluded that she did look slightly better and felt like it too. Maddie’s presence made that possible. Drying her hair, Lorrie then wrapped herself in her robe before entering the bedroom only to be shoved back inside with an armful of clothing. Smiling at Maddie’s forcefulness, Lorrie pulled on the pair of white leggings and the dark, powder blue, v-neck sweater dress she was handed. Emerging from the bathroom, it was as if she was entering another world. Her messy, disaster-zone room had been transformed into an inviting, clean one. Maddie was perched on Lorrie’s bed eyeing her friend critically. Seeing that all was in order, she patted the spot next to her in invitation. Lorrie readily sat down and mentally prepared for the question that was sure to be coming.
“Lorrie what happened?”
There it was the dreaded question. One that was necessary for her to answer yet all the same seemed to loom above her as a tall bolted gate. Sighing, Lorrie felt her eyes fill with tears once again as she spoke her voice cracking, “It’s over Maddie. I knew there was no use, but there was still hope. I thought time would have helped, but he’s in love with someone else now and I’m all alone.” She hastily wiped her soon to be falling tears and took in a deep, shaky breath. Lorrie exclaimed her face crumbling in sadness. “Then this girl that he’s in-in-in l-love with who is a total b***h and verbally attacked me in class ‘cause she felt threatened or something. I don’t know what he sees in her!”
Maddie sighed and enveloped her friend in a hug. She had hoped that Lorrie talking to Thorne would give her closure and help her move on, but that didn’t seem to be the case. Maddie patted her friend on the back sympathetically. “Lorrie, I know you think you love Thorne, but I don’t think that’s the case.” Maddie said and stopped Lorrie’s protest with a raised hand, “Let me finish, I think since he was your first and you two had been together so long that you’re just in the habit of caring for him and your mistaking your caring for love.” Lorrie’s protests died on her lips at that, and her shoulders sagged. Her friend’s rational made sense, but was this sense of loss really just a habit? As if reading Lorrie’s thoughts Maddie said, “The only reason you’re depressed now is because he used to be *your* boyfriend and therefore there is that sense of territory and secretly you wanted him to pine for you after you left. So when you came back you expected him to run to your arms and when he didn’t that hurt.”
Lorrie remained silent at those words. They rang with a truth, but was she really that much of a hypocrite? It appeared so, as Maddie was for the most part always right when it came to things like this. She was undeniably mature for her age, and was as much of a mother hen as a best friend to Lorrie. It was at this moment when she truly realized she wouldn’t know what to do with Maddie. Wiping away the remains of her tears, Lorrie managed a smile only for her stomach to grumble in hunger. Both friends burst out laughing, and in mutual camaraderie set off towards the cafeteria.
Entering the crowded café filled with various students and their families, the two entered and got into line for food laughing and joking all the way. Lorrie felt her mood steadily rising from the pits of despair till she was relatively normal and even happy. Maddie always managed to make that happen for her. So piling a single tray filled with an array of foods to share, the friends paid and sat down at an empty table and joked while reminiscing about the good ole’ days.

"I go here because I think I was meant to...” Meant to huh? He was one of those people? If that was his idea of his destiny, than that is all right with him. Ellie sat down on the ground. Her legs were straight and bony. They also were tiny, just like the rest of her tiny body. That’s what happens when you’re trapped in your 7 year old body. It was always weird when she first switched bodies. Since her main body was a 16-year-old girl while her spirit body was a 7 year old. Those two forms were very different.
"If you don't go to Genius, why are you here?" Why was Ellie here? Well, that was obvious. She watched over her big brother. However, how could she explain that to Ryuuki? She should just give him a complete lie. Ah yes, a lie would be nice. That was if he asked the direct question about whom she watched over. She could not tell him she watched over Joe. That would give her away if she had ever signed up for this school, which she might.
“I watch over the school.” Ellie announced. She looked up at him and tilted her head to the side. She knew that in her seven-year-old spirit body, it would hopefully bull s**t her way through. At least prevent him from asking far to many questions. Ellie no longer felt like standing her to give him the chance to ask him questions though.
“I’m sorry to be rude, but I must get going.” Ellie announced and well, disappeared. It wasn’t fully disappearance. It was just the way she moved from place to place in spirit mode. In a couple of minutes, Ellie had moved from her old location to the house she had taken over. Her real life body was asleep on her bed. Honestly, this spirit thing was beneficial for her body. Ellie moved over and quickly took over. She had to shudder at the transform of atmospheres. Everything was always amplified in her human body. She could touch and feel everything. She was actually there. That is why she loved this body, it was so perfect.
(( Now, I’m putting Ellie on hold for a couple of days RP wise. I might bring her back when Thorne comes back ))

Vincent stared at Kyuubi. He couldn't believe what he saw. He only heard of the beast but never thought Kyuubi had it. He opened a portal to his room and stepped through it. He sat on his bed. He was scared. He never thought that could happen when it came to Kyuubi. He was truly scared of him. His parents were back home and he didn't want to say a word about it.
Kyuubi watched Vincent go. He knew he wouldn't be the same to him. He looked at the castle. He went back to his dorm. He laid in is bed. He wanted to be alone for now. He didn't want to see anyone until the beast form was completely gone from him. His eyes still had a slight crimson color to them. He sighed. He told himself he wouldn't lose control again. Now that Satori brought it out, he would do it again near the ones Kyuubi cared about. He could see the evil plot Satori was planning. He needed to stop this. Next time he went he would go alone. He wasn't going to let Mitsukai go again. He wasn't going to let anyone stop him either.

Ryuuki stared at where Ellie had been previously standing. Watching over the school...? Ryuuki thought to himself, a ittle confused. When the girl had said that, he had seen a slight change of color coming from her, as well as a strange feeling, though he wasn't sure what it meant. Why would the school need to be watched over? he thought to himself as he looked back at the massive structure that was Genius Academy. With all of the super powered people that attended the school, he had always figured it was a very safe place. Ryuuki shook his head and dismissed the thought. She was probably just getting a little uncomfortable around me. It was a little awkward I suppose... Ryuuki thought to himself as he walked off towards the school, his right hand glowing as he did so. He rose his arm up above him, creating a swirling vortex which sucked him in. Just as soon as he was sucked into the vortex, he floated out of it, returning to the original dimension that he was most used to. Ryuuki looked around at the students on campus. A lot of them seemed to have been relaxing and enjoying the day off. Ryuuki lied down, levitating only a few inches above the grass. He stared up at the clouds in the sky, deep in thought.

[/ Christopher Kyle Darren♥ ] Where did you go now? Oh, where did I leave you...? I must find you somehow, while you're so easy to get to. Why can I hear you breathing? Oh, I'm not far behind. Sunlight pierced through the window, which Kyle had left completely unshielded from the blinding rays in his drunken stupor. His eyelashes fluttered as the light slowly began burning a bright red into the back of his lids. He muttered something unintelligible, frowning at the alarm clock sitting quietly on his night stand, the neon lights indicating it was late past noon. It had failed to wake him up for what was possibly the umpteenth time -- not that he minded. The last thing he needed was for its incessant ringing to blare in his ears while he had the worst damn hangover ever.
He swore under his breath, his tongue feeling like he shoved a carpet down his throat. He cradled his head in his hands, sitting up as cautiously as possible. He stayed in that position for a long while, the ringing in his head never ceasing. For a moment, he wondered what in God's name had possessed him to tip back so many bottles last night. He peered through his fingers at the calendar hanging limply from the wall, his stomach knotting. Oh. Right. Parent's day.
Well, damn.
Maybe the 'rents wouldn't even show up - they shipped him out here so he'd be outta their hair, right? Right. So they'd have no business in visiting, like they actually gave a flying crap about how well he was coping. The thought calmed him ever so slightly, but the butterflies nestled in the pit of his stomach were running rampant.
Gah.
He mentally kicked himself. The hell was he thinking? Trying to deal with them while nursing a migraine was definitely not on his priority list, but he'd drunken himself silly anyway. He was almost surprised he wasn't retching all over the place, he thought with a grimace. That would have been fun to clean up...
Stretching his limbs until they krrck-ed, he climbed out of the comfort of his mattress, sauntering to the bathroom to scavenge for aspirin. Coming back victorious, he downed a handful of water along with two of the capsules, making a face afterwords.
He ran a comb through his hair, scurried back into his room and yanked a T-shirt and a pair of jeans off of the hangers in his closet, wiggling into them before heading out the door. His stomach had been making gurgling noises for the past ten minutes, and he was afraid he was going to turn into a flesh-eating carnivore if he didn't eat anything soon.
...Oh, wait. Too late for that, he supposed.
He made his way to the cafeteria, ignoring the incredulous looks he got in the halls. He assumed it was because of his disheveled appearance - but, really, he wasn't too worried about making himself presentable when he was so friggin' hungry.
Paranoia began settling in once his head began clearing a little. He couldn't help but look over his shoulder, expecting his father to suddenly appear and shove him in a seemingly affectionate manner, his mother flanking the burly man in her stuffy pants suit.
But, thankfully, that hadn't happened yet.
He reached the lunch room and jumped into the shortest line, being careful not to skip anybody. Not because he was considerate - well, okay, maybe that was a part of it since he wasn't a total b*****d - but because he was afraid one of the kids here would wield their powers against him. He really didn't like getting in the way of them, even though he was supposed to be treated with 'the upmost respect'. It just wasn't worth it.
The line progressed smoothly, and soon he was stacking whatever appealed to him on to his tray. Once he was satisfied, he waltzed to one of the more scarcely populated tables, claiming the one in the corner. He didn't know why he liked corners so much. Maybe he was just anti-social.
Hah, right.
He precariously ate, glancing around the room every so often to make sure his parents weren't here to harass him.

[[My eyes burn from the awesomeness of that post!]]
Ryuuki lied down looking up at the clouds that had passed the sky. He had lost track of time, and had forgotten how long he had been resting. So far, he had seen a cloud that had been shaped like a strange dragon, a boat, and half a spaceship of some sort. He had also been close to have been crapped upon by a bird, though he managed to avoid that.
Will this day ever end... Ryuuki thought to himself as he sat upright. Ryuuki started to watch an ant colony at work, watching how they're bodies moved and how they worked together, to overcome the obstacle of their short stature. Ryuuki stared at them for a few more minutes, until he felt a slight pull that was originating from above him. The grass around him started to point straight upward, and a few ants started floating up, as if they had gained the ability of flight. Ryuuki jerked his head upward, right in time to see the swirling white vortex that was above him, sucking him in. Ryuuki panicked, not sure of what was happening. "HEL-" was all he managed to yell before getting sucked into the void, along with a few ants. The vortex immediately closed back up.
Ryuuki stumbled out of the vortex that had opened above him, landing quite hard on his head. Ryuuki rubbed his head to soothe the pain. Wait a minute... pain? he thought to himself. Phantoms can't feel pain... Ryuuki looked down at his hand, shocked to see the fleshy pinkish skin on it. "What the-" Ryuuki thought to himself out loud. He looked around, shokced to see his surroundings. The place seemed very familiar, in fact it was hard to forget. The white emptiness that seemed to make up this dimension was not something one would forget. Ryuuki looked up, to see a woman standing beside him. "Hello again... Ryuuki." The familiar woman said.

((Oh another person that deals with dimensions lol))
Kyuubi sat up in his bed. He didn't know how he could face anyone right now. He looked in the mirror. His eyes were still a little red. He didn't want Mitsukai to know about this. He would just have to ignore things.
Satori was in his hideout. His mind reeling with the possibilities of using Kyuubi's anger against him. He knew what it took to make his brother lose control. Attack something that was important to him. He could try and use Mitsukai, no he shook his head at the thought. She could easily steal his powers and be a pain to capture. He couldn't take Vincent again, the last attempt failed. He couldn't attack that school, there would be to many people to stop him. The castle would be sure to have too many guards. How could he do it. He racked his brain searching for an answer. He wouldn't contact his brother's opposite for another tournament trap, forcing Kyuubi to fight, against the opposites of his friends. That failed last time. He held his head searching for an answer.
Vincent was still shaking. He walked out of his room and went to the cafeteria, it was emptier now that the kids were giving their parents a tour or they left the school for a bit. He got some food and ate slowly. He began to wonder what happened to make Kyuubi turn into that monster.

[/ Christopher Kyle Darren♥ ] Where did you go now? Oh, where did I leave you...? I must find you somehow, while you're so easy to get to. Why can I hear you breathing? Oh, I'm not far behind.
"Chrissy," a voice announced from behind him, the tone slathered sweetly with honey and at the same time apathetic. Kyle looked back so quickly that he could have experienced an extremely painful whiplash. Her eyes locked onto his, bemusement evident in the pools of acid green. He blinked, surprised she had managed to find him. She was usually so disorientated in crowded places.
"Mom." He bit his lip, gaze shifting down to the less-threatening looking linoleum on the floor. "...where's Da-," he begun, soon having the wind knocked out of him once he was wrapped tightly in a bear hug, courteous of his father. He wheezed, and the death grip loosened to the point of discomfort, but he didn't feel like his lungs were going to explode.
"Chris!" His father greeted, a big grin plastered across his face. Kyle smiled politely, nodding. "Haven't seen you in a while, kid - wha'dve these blokes been feeding you? You look like yer on th' edge of anorexia. You have been eating, right?" Kyle rolled his eyes, giving the wall his undivided attention.
"Yeah," He gestured lamely to the tray that had been abandoned in front of him for emphasis, the remains of pizza crust still scattered across it. His father nodded, slapping him on the back. Kyle cringed a little.
"We have some...catching up to do," his mother interjected, staring pointedly at the back of Kyle's head.
"Sure," he said easily, like it wasn't a big deal. But it was a big deal, at least to him. These are the same people that threw his scrawny a** out on the street because he had strained the relationship between them since he'd accidentally killed his uncle, because he had made the fears that plagued their sleep come to life. The people who had practically spat on him as they shrieked for him to get the hell out with pure unbridled hatred in their eyes.
That had been nearly a year ago. He had fought tooth and nail to get to the point of where he was now, and yet still hadn't gotten a firm grasp on his 'abilities'. Even now, he was still accidentally scaring skittish freshmen, and had seen a few creepy-crawlies through out the school that had probably been his fault from coming in contact with a bug-phobic.
Dammit, Darren, man up! he told himself, throwing one of the fakest smirks he could muster at his parents. His mother raised a penciled-on eyebrow at him, and his father grinned back.
s**t. That throbbing in the back of his head was starting again, with a renewed vengeance.

Meredith watched as the kid’s scowl turned into a smile, well, more of a grimace. Anyway, it was somewhat of an improvement. He was still pondering her offer for coffee. It might have been the easiest question to answer, yet it was seriously some sort of dilemma for him. Nonetheless, in a matter of moments his grimace was turning into a slight smile, not a big one, but a slight upward turn of his lips. “…Yeah” Meredith smiled at his response. He seemed very iffy about it. Meredith was not a b***h, most of the time. Therefore, he would be fine.
“I’m Meredith, follow me.” Meredith announced and waited for the kid to get up and follow. Once he did, she led him straight towards the Legend Lounge. She quickly typed in her code and the door quickly unlocked. Right when she stepped in she could smell the intoxicating smell of coffee and vanilla, the typical smell of the room. She stepped in and scanned the room. It had three comfortable faux leather couches. One huge wide screen TV, that went along with the Xbox, Play Station, and wii stored into the maroon colored cabinet right next to the TV. On the other side of the room there was a medium sized table surrounded with some chairs. There also was a small kitchen area, complete with a microwave, stove, fridge, coffee maker, and sink. None of the floor was carpeted; instead, it had a deep brown wooden tile. Basically, this was one of the nicer rooms in the whole school. Ales there was a student with awesome remolding skills, this room was boss. “Welcome to the legend lounge.” Meredith introduced and skipped to the coffee maker. Obviously, someone had already started the coffee this morning, because it was ready to pour.
Meredith opened the cabinet right above the kitchen like counter. She grabbed some coffee mate vanilla flavoring and some sugar. She then filled her coffee cup about ¾ of the way and filled the rest of the cup with vanilla flavoring. She finished her drink by adding an unreasonable amount of sugar. There was one thing that Meredith could not stand, and that was black coffee. Meredith then sat down on one of the seats surrounding the table and looked at the kid, with a smile plastered on her face. He was a decent looking kid. Especially since his bright red curls were adorable. They probably were super hard to maintain. Then again, he was a boy so he might not really care. He was a good height, just a little shorter than Meredith was. He looked younger, like two to three years. Then again, he was a senior wasn’t he? At least, she saw him with a group of seniors. He could also be a junior. Of course, the most important thing to find out was his name.
“So, what’s your name?” Meredith asked, feeling slightly idiotic for not asking previous.

"Please don't think that I'm Pitying you, you know me far too well to go on that assumption." How could she not pity her? Everyone had! Mitsukai hadn’t missed the whispers and snickers as she passed. She had heard the gossip, all relating with the now missing Thorne. It was horrible. As if her life was anyone’s concern. If something happened between her and Thorne that made him run, it was none of their business. Nonetheless, nothing happened between the two. He just got up and left. He just ran, never even said goodbye. Luckily, a few other gossips had spread since the week he went missing. Now people were more focused on new couples, or the huge fight that happened in the cafeteria earlier that week. It was as if she was disappearing. Soon she would be as dead to the world as she felt.
Nikky then draped her arm around Mitsukai’s shoulder. It took a few moments for Mitsukai to adjust to the new weight, but soon Mitsukai was helping her walk towards the nurse’s office.
"I was too busy chasing someone that probably never want's to speak with me again rather than pay attention to you, and that was stupid of me." It wasn’t Nikky’s fault. Even if she spent all of her life trying to fix Mitsukai, she probably could not. Those two events had changed Mitsukai. They had ruined her; taken away her smile, her joy. It had turned her into a living corpse. "And look what it's gotten me, I can't speak, and my ankle is sprained." Mitsukai shivered at the amount of self-hate in that sentence. Mitsukai went through that really bad. At first it was toward the fact she had became a murder. That she would never be pure. She felt as if the gates of heaven had fully closed on her. She ranted and ranted, feeling like she was a monster. Then she had went full force on the fact that it must have been her fault Thorne left. That if she wasn’t so over reactive and weird he would have stayed. Now it was towards herself. That she was to caught up in her own s**t that she couldn’t even help her friends. She could not even be the good friend she always had been. Mitsukai definitely hated herself. Nonetheless, Nikky had no reason to hate herself.
"Hey, Mitsukai, next time you go running off to another dimension, take me with you, at least then, any mess we get into, it'll be together, alright?" Mitsukai’s throat tightened. How did she know? Mitsukai hadn’t talked to the dimension to anyone except Kyuubi. Did Kyuubi tell Nikky? Did she talk in her sleep? What could have happened? Mitsukai didn’t want anyone to know what happened. Not until she fixed her problem. Not until she felt at ease. However, Nikky had somewhat of an idea of what happened. It couldn’t have been that bad though. Right? Nikky did not know she was a murder. She didn’t know how weak she had been. She didn’t know how Mitsukai let Kyuubi down. Not at all, Nikky was totally oblivious. Well, hopefully she was.
Mitsukai quickly pulled on her gloves, shutting off the metal connection between the two. She didn’t want to talk. Nikky was just thinking all of the wrong things. Instead, she just led Nikky towards the nurse office. The walk was tedious, unlike it would have been if they both were in good health. Soon they were at the Nurses office. Hopefully she’d want to heal Nikky. The nurse wasn’t a big fan of using her powers to heal. She could, but she didn’t want to. No one knew why, she just only used them when necessarily. “Nurse Sue?” Mitsukai called out and sat Nikky on the cot for the injured. “Hello Mitsukai.” Nurse Sue said, with her same dazzling smile. “What’s wrong here?” Mitsukai sighed, and looked back at Nikky. “Sprained ankle and she cannot talk.” Mitsukai announced. The Nurse went straight to helping Nikky.

Once Joe got in his dorm, He he felt like he needed to go somewhere. He changed into some sweats and then jogged towards his car. When he stepped into his navy blue Chevy truck he turned on the engine and started driving away. The drive was relaxing, probably the most relaxing thing he did all day. His stereo was blasting his favorite Framing Hanley CD and he was going about 10 mph over the speed limit. In a matter of minutes, he arrived at the lake near the school. He put his car into park and locked the door. Then he started his run.
Thoughts of his mother, Mitsukai, or Nikky all disappeared in the rhythm of his running. The burn of exercise was his escape. To some it might have been time with their religion. To some it may have been painting a picture. To Joe, it was running. His thoughts were on the movement of his legs. All he could hear was the blasting of his iPod. It was tranquil and calming. No one could disturb him. If a thought would slip through, he’d just run faster. Right now, all that mattered was moving and moving. Keeping a steady pace. Breathing in through his nose and out through his mouth.
However, what would happen once he was done? Would his mother come back? Would she force herself into his life? Would she tear down all his walls and leave him broken. How would she treat him? Would he hurt her like he hurt Ellie?
‘Run faster.’His thoughts interrupted. Therefore, he ran faster. He allowed his feet to do the thinking. Allowed them to lead down this very familiar path. ‘Turn here, jump here, slow down here, and speed up here’ His feet directed, leading him through every pathway.
If only life was that simple?
Like seriously, what was up with Nikky and Riah? They always bickered now. They never tried to hang out. Weren’t they supposed to be best friends? Was his circle of friends really falling apart? What would he do without them?
‘Run faster’ Josephs’ feet directed. He instantly sped up. There was a bend coming up, he’d have to be careful with the turn. Then a bridge he'd have to cross, it was shaky and old. He would have to stay on the left side since the right was unstable for running. Joseph reached the bend and turned like he was an expert. Then he reached the bridge and stayed to the left.
How was he going to fix Mitsukai? She was such a wreak. Broken and torn apart. All because of that Thorne kid. If Joe ever got a hold of him, he was going to tear him apart! Rip him to shreds. He had better not ever come back. Joe would destroy him. Maybe an earthquake would work, put him in the ground. Bury him alive.
Joe’s feet did not have to tell him to speed up, the shaking ground did. Therefore, Joe speed up. He was going faster than his normal run. Probably because he had more things on his mind than usual. Nonetheless, he had to focus on the movement of his feet. He had to avoid the uneven patches of dirt. He had to avoid the twigs. Slow down at unstable areas, and speed up at others. It was the rhythm of his world. The burn of exercise. The acceleration and deceleration. His breathing pattern. Those were the things that were healthy to think about. Those were the things that kept him safe. a boy lost in the ghost of his past will he find hope at last?

Is there somebody who still believes in love? I know you’re out there There’s got to be somebody I search around the world But I can’t seem to find Somebody to love Nikky Celeste DarlingNikky didn't like the silence between her and Mitsukai. It left her to sort out her mind, what she could and couldn't remember. Her mom had told her something that morning, it was important, but what was it? She had no clue. It was all so frustrating, and it made her want to cry, yell, scream, or something. Yet, she couldn't, not really... As Mitsukai helped her sit on the cot, Nikky thought. Thought about things that needed to be fixed with her friends. Something was up with Mitsukai, and it all started when Thorne left, and coincidentally, right after she got back from Kyubbi's dimension. Sidetracking a bit, she wondered if Mitsukai ever got her car back from that parking garage. Turning the matter back to her friends, Joe, she needed to apologise to him for whatever she did to make him upset. She couldn't remember what exactly it was, but hopefully he'd forgive her. Next issue was L, She was going to stop trying to compete with her and get along. She was just about ready to give up on Joe anyways. If he liked her, then he did, she wasn't going to waste her time pining over him anymore. The nurse coming around distracted Nikky. Sure, she could live without her sprained ankle, but, maybe she was supposed to loose her ability to speak. She didn't really want to though, but what if it was one of those things that happened to help you, in the long run that was. She couldn't help but think that as Nurse Sue started examining her. .
Je t’adore, Je t’adore Make a move, do the thing Turn around, strike a pose Je t’adore, Je t’adore Make a move, do the thing Turn around, strike a pose

Nurse sue went straight ahead to fixing the most obvious problem, Nikky's ankle. She first poked it, watching how Nikky winced. Then she checked to see if it was broken. It wasn't though, it was just severely sprained. The Nurse walked towards her medicine cabinet and pulled out a wrap and some bandages, along with a rag. She first washed Nikky's ankle and bandaged a few scrapes. When she was done with that she wrapped it up. Then she went to working on Nikky's head wound. It already had developed a huge goose egg. Maybe she had hurt herself about an hour ago. She cleaned it up, since it was bleeding. Then she went ahead and wiped all the dirt off of Nikky's face. When she was done she bandaged the face wound and checked Nikky's throat. She first checked to see if it felt swollen, which wasn't the case. “Open up darling” The Nurse directed and Nikky followed obediently. She looked at the inside and saw that there wasn't much swelling there either. Since she had no known cause, she might as well use her power to heal. Not talking could be a real problem for her school work. Therefore, Nurse Sue placed her hand on Nikky's throat and tried to heal her.
But it wasn't healing.
That was strange. Things always healed when she tried to fix it. Nurse Sue tried again.
Nothing was working.
“That's funny, it's not healing.” The Nurse said and walked to her drawer. She shuffled around until she found a small marker board and two dry erase markers. She then looked around the room and grabbed some crutches for Nikky to use. She handed the crutches to Nikky and the marker board to Mitsukai. “I want you to come back in 5 days if things aren't better. But, when things start to get slightly better, or worse, come back to me.” The Nurse directed. She then walked to her desk and started filling out paperwork, now oblivious to the girls presence.

Mitsukai watched at Nikky got checked out by the Nurse. Part of her just really wanted to leave. It was mean and cruel. A good friend would stay there. Nonetheless, she was aggravated. All of her friends had been pitting her because they thought she was heartbroken over a dumb boy. Like Mitsukai would be heartbroken over a dumb boy. She had plenty of reasons she was like this. Plenty of reasons she had changed. And NONE of those reasons were any of their business! It was Mitsukai's business. It was Mitsukai's problem. It wasn't Joesph's problem. It wasn't L's problem. It wasn't Nikky's problem. It wasn't even Kyuubi's problem! Not that she planned on telling any of them anyways. She was just going to stand there fuming over her problems while Nikky got checked out.
Mitsukai had become so caught up in her own little thoughts, that she forgot all about the outside world. That was until a marker board and markers were placed in her hand. She looked up at the Nurse who was explaining the last bit of rules to Nikky. Wait, could she not heal her? Well darn! That may have been a good idea, since Nikky couldn't talk to her about Thorne ales Mitsukai allowed her to. However, that would really complicate things with Joe. Whatever, at least L and Nikky couldn't fight anymore.
“Come on, we gotta find you a bag to carry your stuff, it'll make using crutches easier.” Mitsukai directed and waited for Nikky to finish up. It was almost 11:45, which meant the lunch room should be filling up with kids who wanted to sit down for lunch with their parents. Those kids who planned on avoiding their parents, would rush in and rush out. Then find another spot to eat. Either way, it was almost lunch. Mitsukai had to get Nikky cleaned up to see her parents at lunch time. It would really suck if she looked like that. It'd worry her parents enough that she was on crutches. It was best to make it appear better than it actually was. Only 8 and a half more hours until parents started leaving the campus. Then things would be normal in a couple of days. Things were always so gloomy after parents day. Whoever invented this wretched day had some serious problems.
