May's eyes widened under the mask, it was kind of amazing how quickly the conversation had shifted. "He's right," She said nodding her head at Flash, "And I didn't switch genders... though I can't blame you for thinking that, this whole mess has caused stranger things to happen." she paused a moment thinking his second question over. She couldn't exactly tell him everything, but she could leave hints. "I found this in my attic." She admitted. She wouldn't lie, she would just leave out a few pieces of the truth.

Wolverine almost smirked at Spider-Man's comment. "A perpetual state for you? If Senator Kelly had his way, I'd be back in Canada right now." Logan glared at the pair of guards, bringing his claws to bear. "You're just doing your job, are you?" He sniffed the air. "I say bull."

Logan looked at Spider-Man, a near-feral look in his eyes. "Don't push it," he said to little Spidey, then he turned to the guards, giving them the same look before lowering his hands to his side a little more and retracting his claws slowly. "Don't let me catch either of you in a lie, or else..." The claws in his right hand shot out again with a loud 'SNIKT!'

One of the guards almost wet his pants. The other didn't. That is, he ACTUALLY wet his pants. Spider-man climbed down off the wall and walked over. "Alright. Cut it out, or I WILL push it, I swear to God. They're not even coherent right now! Look at them!"

Doomsday soon woke up and stood himself up. He couldn't remember anything that had just happened. Superman...he must have...
Before he could think of much else, he suddenly felt something inside him burning. The feeling quickly became increasingly worse. He groaned a bit in pain, and looked around to try and figure out what was happening. All he found was a small red spark on the ground not far from him.
About ten seconds later, Doomsday became victim of what seemed to be Spontaneous Combustion. Even the ground around and under him began to melt from the intense heat.
//Gonna try and clean up non-played characters this weekend.//

Oh, of course he does pete, that's why he asked you for a phone so he could call in all the reserve avengers. At that moment, the girl's words reached him. "Your attic? That's not even vaguely possible, ESPECIALLY if you're not mini-me (dang, that's never going to get old!)" Spider-man barely paused to appreciate his own joke. "So, are you yet another double? From some crazy reality where I got two 'X' chromosones? Did you fight villains like Elec-tra, Elizabeth Brock, and Flo Marco?"

Logan looked at Spidey again for a moment, then started waling towards the window. "Let's go, Web-head..." Wolverine caught the window sill with his left hand, used that hand to clear the window, then caught the building side with the claws of his right hand and used them to slow his decent to the ground, the sound of metal grinding along brick following him.

Spider-man followed, though his decent was considerably more graceful. Landing crouched on the top of a light pole, he tried to figure out what this turn of events would mean for him... and therefore the group of people that he was hanging out with. If people thought that he'd attacked a LexCorp building... Well, JJ would definitely come in on Luthor's side. He had to let the other heroes know, especially his older counterpart, as he'd probably be blamed for the fire as well. "Back to base, I guess," he told Logan tiredly.

Logan looked at Spidey, then said, "Baxter Building, then?" He'd been based there when he helped fill in for the Fantastic Four, but that wasn't with this Spider-Man. Still, it was a Spider-Man, and he'd saved his life. That was enough reason for him to trust the half-pint.

"God, I wish," Spider-man replied, "[color-red]It's empty. I went there to pick up some gas masks. I was thinking more in general terms. In this case, base means 'wherever Superman happens to be'. He needs to know about this, and he knows more about Luthor than anyone. I have a really nasty feeling that this could turn into a very big problem."

"Gosh," Spidey replied, more than a hint of sarcasm in his voice, "I guess we're all set, then; why would Superman fly anywhere?" Still, it was better than nothing. He started swinging off in the direction of the man of steel's last known location, assuming that Wolverine would follow.
