Garin lifted her up a bit and dragged her back to Jake and Sanvi. "Do you recognize her?" he asked them.

Jake shook his head.
"No, I don't know her," Sanvi said.
The girl struggled again. She seemed to recognize that there were two demons there. She started speaking rapidly in demonic, begging them to let her go and trying to convince them that she hadn't meant any harm.

"Leave her alone," Sanvi said. "I want to find out why she's here."
The girl looked over at Sanvi and tried to get over to her. She struggled against Garin.

Garin nodded, but didn't let the girl go. "Why did you attack us?" he asked.

The girl only shook her head and looked frightened.
"Why doesn't she understand?" Jake asked Sanvi quietly.
"Most demon houses only speak in demonic," Sanvi said. She asked the girl why she attacked and the girl responded in rapid, if frightened, demonic.
"She says at first she thought we were deer, but then she heard us talking," Sanvi said. "She was afraid we were going to hurt her."

"Tell her she won't be hurt if she stays calm and doesn't try to attack us," Garin said.

Sanvi nodded and told the girl just that.
"Ask her who she is," Jake said. "What is her name?"
Sanvi asked and the girl answered quietly. "Her name is Elise," Sanvi said. "She said she doesn't know her last name, but...her accent changed when she answered that time. I think she's lying." She looked to Garin to find out what they should do next.

Sanvi asked, and the girl gave a short, biting response. "She won't tell us," Sanvi said. She sighed a little.

"Maybe now tell her if she's not honest with us, we'll have no reason to let ger go," Garin said, hositing her arms up a bit more.

The girl whimpered a little and looked pleadingly up at Sanvi.
Sanvi said a few things in demonic, several of which sounded sharp and angry. Jake cringed a bit when he heard what Sanvi had said.
The girl cringed too. She whimpered again and looked to Jake next.

Sanvi asked the girl something and the girl shook her head and said something quietly. "She said she can't trust us," Sanvi said. She sighed. "but it doesn't make sense…almost all demons can speak English and demonic…I think she's been lying from the beginning."
