Ok, after crunching the numbers, here's what Ive got- Saga edition Stats for the Ruusan. Note that the Ruusan is heavily modified from a base Model of her class. Her Amament, Defenses, and Speed have been signifigantly altered (at great expense. I'll miss those missiles and quad turbos) from a stock model. This also does not include the master list of modifications that have been done to the Ruusan in her 2 years of service to the Confederacy, the six months she spent sitting in a Staryard collecting mynocks, and her following 14 years as Jag's Office, House, Primary Mode of Transportation, Weapon of Choice, and Means of Living.
This is a considerable list, of which Des and I both have Copies, being Mods of the RP.

How big is this Hangar? Cause if space is limited I'd suggest...

T-wings, R-22 Spearheads, Eta-2s, Eta-5s, and those sort.

That depends on what we're gonna put in it. I'd prefer to have something thats relatively flat, as the hangar is going to be towards the front of the ship. As far as Ive figured mentally its about 20m squared.
Once we get an idea of what we want, then I can draw around it. If we dont decide on a fighter, then I convert the empty space to cargo and such.

How about an Authority IRD or Cutlass-9?

A Cutlass 9 would fill the bay, but its outdated and Soro-Suub to boot. Granted it would be cheeper.
An IRD-A is a much smaller bird and I could easily shrink the bay and save some room. Its a newer fighter though, and not so easy to aquire.

Well, the Cutlass is around 12 meters long by 8 meters wide. The IRD is around 8 meters long by 12 meters wide.

I like the Cutlass cause she'd be easily modifiable and highly maneuverable, and she was heavily used by the Rebel Alliance and New Republic Fleet. The IRD seemed kinda sluggish when I flew it in X-wing: Alliance, and less maneuverable.

Who exactly is gonna be flying the starfighter, Des or you?

I dunno. Jag's not one to relinquish control of his ship to anyone.
I figured more people would be behind the Fighter than getting a small shuttle. Besides, with the Fighter we can watch our backsides.

Well a more modern ship with similar capabilities to the Cutlass would be a T-wing. You could probably squeeze two Cutlass's or T-wings into the hangar if they were side be side. Though then you'd be down to 32 square meters of cargo space, but you'd want that for maintenance gear for the ships I'd think.

I think I'll stay with the Cutlass. I can have one of them and modify it for my purposes.
Probably rip out the Hyperdrive, then upgrade the guns, the shields, and the engine. Maybe even add a Harpoon-towcable job and a pair of grasping arms that can fold up when not in use.

For someone who didn't have the cash to have a lot of guns, you own a fighter instead? I'd probably say that's a future project to work towards.

You realize how much those guns, missiles, and launchers went for on the black market? It was insane. I still have money left over, even after the cargo refit of the ship, and its going into upgrading the probe droid and possibly turning an old patrol fighter into an armed EVA vehicle.

Tug and fighter, well thats a nifty idea. Sorta like a miniaturized Outlaw Star. It'd certainly help repairs if the hull takes a beating.

Well I'm pretty damn sure no one's gonna wanna fight with these arms.
They're just there to grab stuff. Not for fighting. Thats what the Concussion Missile Launcher and Laser Cannons are for.

Yeah, grabbing onto a tie fighter as it screams by would just rip em off. Course it could enable you to plant large bombs on enemy starships. smile

Lets just focus on the practical for now.
The Fighter serves as a defense, escort, salvage and recovery ship. If all it did was fight, I would be getting a more expensive fighter and get my money's worth.
