"I at least don't have to worry about that, Doc. I at least remained white, besides the helmet..." He said, pointing to the helmet which only had the yellow stripe. "However, you guys stick out like sore thumbs to a trained eye. Not to mention, I doubt robo-kid's suit really makes any concealment really worthwhile. We blend in, but he don't. He attracts fire, we all get hit anyway. Simple as that. But then again, if Copy ever gets around to killing me like the barve wants to, then you guys can get an enthusiastic pilot. Hell, we're only a dime a dozen anyhow. Who knows. Perhaps the next one might actually like the cold weather. Probably won't use his fusion torch to warm him up like I do, but then again, he ain't my concern."

Iota marched along with the group, keeping quiet while a few of them decided to bicker, and managing to keep slightly better warmth from the little heat emitted from some of her devices as they were running. After a moment of fiddling with some things, she checked her scanner. Nothing was in range, at least, nothing detectable. " I hope the climate isn't interferring with my scanner. " she said quietly, more to herself than anyone.

"Will you quit bitching about our armor or do I have to kick you again." Omikron said to Theta, reminding him about that time on the LATT. "We have more important things to worry about than effective camo."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2006 9:18 pm

"Kick me? What good would that do? What's that supposed to mean?" Theta said, the reference going over his head. "Plus, I doubt you have a better topic for discussion. And seeing as how I'm the only pilot around here, I might be the only barve who can fly your a** outta here. All you could do is kill everyone off.." Theta snapped back, the thought of the team dying off sounding semi-appealing. So Io and Doc would die... but then again, copy would be dead, and Theta would have to worry about one less attempted murderer.... A very interesting decision.

Sigma smiled inside his helmet at Omikron's remark.

"I think you and I will get along just fine," he told Omikron.

"Your not the only one who can fly yellow head."Psi spoke out, making a lame remark about Theta's helemt. But afterall it was true. His primary use was to shoot and get in close. But he could double as a pilot for most vehicles that didn't require alot of training to drive or pilot. He had kept mostly quiet for the walk so far, just concentrating on carrying the extra gear and the snow white pancho he wore to cover up most of his black markings. He kicked up some snow un-happily."The sooner I get to torch somthing the better."He muttered. His thought's waverd to a comicle scene where Copy was waving his guns around shooting the ceiling and looking like some kind of drunkard.Theta was sneaking up from behind Copy with a fusion torch. He himself was attacking a block of ice angrily with every weapon in his disposal.Omikron,Zeta, and Iota where all in the middle of the mess shaking their heads.Sigma had crashed into the wall and blown himself up.And the Tank was about to blow everything up.He quickly shook away these thoughts and returned to his distant and secretive self.

"Driving a spider droid isn't like flying a LAAT kid. It's like me trying to ride a Bantha. I could do it, but I doubt I could handle one like someone who trained to ride one. But then again, flying is easy. It's the landing which you'd have to worry about. That comes from instinct and training. Of course, that's assuming you're flying one of our birds. Confederate aircraft are way out of your league kid. Slicing is the only safe bet one has with those, and that requires you haven't wasted your brain cells with blaster gas," Theta replied.

"You finish your little flamethrower thing? Or whatever your little arm gadget is supposed to be?" He suddenly asked, to his own surprize.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2006 10:28 pm

"It's more then just a flamethrower. It's almost a replica of what Jango had.Just with minor differences."He replied accepting Theta's reply as true."Why?"Psi raised an eyebrow behind his helmet and rolled his fingers and taking his arms out from under the pancho. The ideas working behind that helmet and in Theta's head could make somone really wonder if he was safe to be on the squad with. But aslong as he was focused on somthing else other then the squad he usually felt safer.Aslong as the Fusion torch wasn't pointed his way.He liked his limbs how they where.

"Because I'll bet you ten credits I can modify it to be 70% more efficient than what your attempt was. I'm a pilot and a mechanic, with the added bonus of a slicer. Io probably does a better job than I at electronics, but I'm not going to test that until the time comes. However, that means you have to risk sacrificing your armor to the mad pilot who believes we are only pawns to a master scheme," Theta replied. He wasn't trying to be nice. In his own head, several situations popped up, and he was hoping to play it to his advantage. One involved using the device to torch Copy (a favorite), but if he was successful, at least he might find a good clone shield to hid behind at a later date. The advantages managed to, for once, be present.

"I wouldn't trust an exact copy of me,personality and all, with this armor.About as much as you distrust Cap'.And there's the fact you might end up changing some detailed settings. And most of the team considers you to be a crackpot lunatic,no offence,so who knows what you'd do to it.Heck, you could rig it to explode and while your safe in a vehicle me and the rest of the team get ashed."He nodded and put his arms back under the pancho.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:06 pm

"Nah. Explosions aren't my thing. I might set it to go off wrong, and then get caught up in the blast myself. Plus, I don't do well with demolitions. There is a big difference between fuel lines and detonite tape. Nah, if I wanted to take out the entire group, I'd simply reprogram the auto defense systems in a major installation to target you. Much easier," Theta added, with more confidence than he realized. "But explode? Dear me, I'm not that crude. I'd like to have some elegance..."

((Nos, I gotta say, thats one big sithin gun. is it supossed to be a DC-15?))
Copy checked through his mission specs again and wished he could beat the tar out of the guy who came up with the orders.
just go north and scout.
after that, it was all vague. its as if they expected the scout team to not survive.
A mission needed to have objectives. Clear, defineable objectves. wars weren't one just by blundering around until you found and vaped the bad guy. It was never that cut and dry.
Nevertheless, the team was handed a mission with no clear objective. They were pointed in a direction and simply told to look around.
Copy hissed in anoyance as his squad continued to b***h, moan, and bicker.
"I wonder if Enlisted men have to put up with this Sith."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:28 pm

((heck no, it's a 'blast cannon,' i think))

Zeta offered Copy a smile from his spot in the middle of the formation. "We /are/ the enlisted men, Cap'n. We got no say in our place in the war, after all."

"Wow thanks Theta, that makes me feel much better with you on our team." Omikron said with bitter sarcasm.
