Elnara waved to the children one last time, then headed to the door. She waited for Lore to join her in the hall, then closed the door tightly behind them.

"Do you think they'll be all right while we're gone?" she asked worriedly as they headed towards the room that Celebor and Silvrendir were sharing during their time at the castle.

Daeron grinned. "I'm sure they would love to play with us," he agreed. "And the more people, the better, right? It gives more choices in who you're going to chase."

He paused and raised one eyebrow curiously. "Oh?" he asked. "What kinds of games do you play with Idhril?"

"Well.. sometimes we play tag, but a lot of time we make stick houses on large rocks, because when you're my size a large rock is like an island that you can put things on," Lin explained, "And then we play with the dolls and it's like a little village!"

Even though most of the villagers couldn't move perse.

"I think they'll be fine," Lore replied, "For the most part, they all have people who are willing to spend time with them, and they are good people," he assured her.

After all, he was sure besides the incident with Ruel there would be no other problems.

Elnara smiled. "I'm sure you're right," she nodded, "and yes, they are good people here."

Except for Ruel of course but she was certain that as long as she wasn't around, he was all right, too.

She opened the door to Celebor and Silvrendir's room and stepped inside.

Silvrendir was half-dressed and in the process of trying to tug his shirt on over his wings which wasn't working out so well.

"You got it on backward," Celebor, already dressed, was saying to his brother. "The holes are s'posed to go on the back!"

When the door opened, he looked up and grinned. "Hi Mommy! Hi Lore!" he called cheerfully.

Daeron grinned. "That sounds like fun," he agreed. "It would be a lot easier for you than for me, though, if I wanted to make my own village I would have to actually cut down trees to make stick houses ... and besides it being a waste of trees, there aren't even that many trees in the Southland for me to use."

Mikhail, who couldn't help but overhear their conversation (being elvish and all), looked over and commented, "You should ask your father if you can visit the Borderlands or the Westland sometime, Lin. I think you would like it out there."

"Really? What is it like out there?" Lin asked.

Wondering if it was anything like the way it was back home, though she had only heard about the Borderlands a bit. Her daddy talked about it sometimes.

"I think Daddy was going to visit there."

"Good morning Celebor," Lore greeted happily, "Good morning Silvrendir..." he paused and assested the situation.

The poor boy looked like he was going to accidently smother himself. Lore walked up to the little boy and kneeled down so he was closer to Silvrendir's head (even though it wasn't much).

"Do you need help?"

Silvrendir's head was hidden deep inside his sweater, but at the sound of Lore's voice his struggles ceased, and a moment later there was a quick nodding movement from deep within.

Elnara giggled, but as Lore was already there to help Silvrendir, she instead sat on the edge of the bed and patted her lap for Celebor to sit.

"Come on," she smiled at him, "I'll braid your hair for you before we go, but quickly."

Celebor grinned and nodded and quickly sat on her lap so that she could do as she had said.

"You gotta make sure you tell me everything that happens when you're gone!" he told he excitedly. "And I wanna come with sometime, too, 'kay?"

"It's mostly all trees," Daeron grinned at Lin. "Some mountains, a few swamps, the odd moor ... in some areas there are meadows where it's nothing but grass that grows half as tall as me ... but everywhere you go, it's all green, and it's absolutely gorgeous."

Lin studied Daeron, because he was already very tall by her standards (which wasn't saying much). The mere thought that grass could grow as tall as him...

"I wonder why the grass doesn't fall over being so tall, it's already taller than me most of the time."

"Hold up your arms," Lore instructed softly.

He took the corners of the shirt, it would have to be lifted up completely and then put back on. He doubted he would be able to turn it around with Silvrendir still in it.

Silvrendir stuck his arms straight up just as Lore instructed and waited for whatever was going to happen next.

"It's thick and strong," Daeron replied with a shrug, "I suppose that helps. I mean, if you think about it, trees are tall, much taller than even buildings, and they keep themselves up most of the time."

There was of course the odd tree that fell, but it was usually due to an exterior cause.

"But trees are very thick and very hard," Lin replied back.

Though she supposed that grass could be thick and strong too, but she had never seen grass like that before. She wondered what it would be like to go wandering in that. Not that her parents would let her.
