Kimiko waved "Thank you Otokage!" she turned round smirking confidently. "Okay...this is it." she suddenly pointed furiously at the Log "Your going down!!!" She set her stance once more, making the corrections the Kage showed her. She narrowed her eyes let loose yet another flurry of punches, this time, her form seemed without flaw, that she could detect anyway, and each of the ten blows hit the target area. She smiled with glowing pride.

"So COOL! My blazing spirit is indeed overpowering, and with the winds of the great Otokage to feed my flame I am...unstoppable!" She didn't even consider that another reason she was doing well was because she'd finally forgotten about her quarrel with her arch nemesis, but then, who's to say.

User ImageKasuke shrugged and turned his gaze down picking another rock. It was a good sized rock, bigger than his hand, but it felt light in his experienced hands. He stuck the seal to the rock gently and made sure that it wouldn't fall off. He couldn't have the seal flying off when he threw the rock in the air, something might catch fire. He could always blow out any fire with ease, but that still wouldn't be the best thing to do your first week of being Kage. He flung out the rock, just about to the same place. Kasuke let out a another small burst of chakra, and listened for an explosion. He shook his head, apparently there was more to this jutsu than he thought.

User ImageKasuke picked another rock, that was much smaller and a whiteish pearly color, form the ground. Sticking on an explosive tag, he looked down the stone trying to figure out the secret to exploding the tag. As he held it in his hand, Kasuke pushed some chakra into the seal molding it carefully under his thumb like floating water. After a few seconds he fung out the rock, underhanded this time. More upward so that it would hurdle through the air for a good time before it hit the ground. He tried to explode it mid air, and sent a small bit of chakra to ignite the seal. An explosion hundreds of feet away in the air showed how far he could really throw the rock. It was so far away that all he could hear was a small pop. The young kage smiled up at his success. He instantly realized that he was learning a D rank jutsu, he shouldn't be astounded by success.

Kimiko ran a finger under her nose in annoyance. She knew that she still had a long way to go, but she wasn't going to let that stop her from getting there as fast as she could. She once more envisioned the Kage's stance, picturing his punch in her mind. He was a real proven hero, one just like those of legend, there was no way she was going to let him helping her go to waste...she squinted. "Hmmm, I've just got to keep on improving...keep on getting stronger...it's the only way to truly reach that level..." she looked once more, fiercely determined. She stepped forward her fists once more in position...

Suddenly Kimiko stopped mid punch, her fist an inch from the post. Her expression was hard again. 'Even with this taijutsu...even if I'm really good at it... will it really be enough to beat him...?'

"I'm intent on learning another D-rank Jutsu."

"Besides, I've already mastered two of the academy jutsu."

"Chakra control, I can walk up tree's like this with ease..."

"Oh...you mean you can't do that Momoe-san?"

She was frowning. "I can't just be content to learn Taijutsu anymore...I've got to learn to diversify myself or he'll be to much for me..." she clenched her fists renewing her stance. "Tomorrow I've got to start working on chakra training...there's no way getting around it..." she returned her attention to the post... but for now of course, it was time to finish this...

The wind about her kicked up, blowing her bouncy hair about her face, giving her a rather alluring look, indeed the furious determination on her face made this even more accentuated. Still, Kimiko had never really paid THAT much attention to that sort of thing. She was a heroine, and no heroine worth her spit chased around after boys, boys chased around after them that was the way it went, duh. Someday she'd meet someone who was able to match her in skill and spirit, and he'd be so cool and honorable and... she returned her focus to her training.

She couldn't let herself get distracted again!

Kimiko was starting to sweat alittle and recoiled slightly when she hit bruised her hand. She spit off to the side and flexed the hand forcefully. She reached up to the necklace about her neck, feeling her fingers of the letters. She slid back into her stance and set her sights on the target. She was probably being too harsh in judging herself... most people would already say she'd been done by now...but she wasn't most people... she was A CHAMPION OF JUSTICE!!

"HIYA!!

Kimiko successfully did the the punches...but...no, no they weren't good enough, she couldn't settle for anything less than perfect if she was going to be a real Ninja. Becoming a ninja was the first step on her road to becoming a true hero. Her first step on the road to fulfilling her destiny as a champion of justice... She was determined now. She didn't care about 100 punches anymore. She was going to keep going till she was satisfied... till she could look back on this training session with pride.

The sun was growing dim as the fiery light from the dusk spread over the sky. Like the fire in the heavens, Kimiko continued to burn. Her training had now gone beyond 100, but she still wasn't satisfied, she continued to drive herself, completely immovable in her motive to reach a new level of skill.

She calmed her mind, held her blazing soul in a tight fist and fueled every movement with it. She seemed possessed as she continued to strike the post, and she showed no signs of satisfaction...yet.

She could almost feel her body starting to adapt, but ever so slowly, she was may not even have been getting faster or stronger, but something about her was definitely altering. Her eyes flashed now with each punch, the light from the setting sun reflecting off her emerald eyes. In this light they seemed almost iridescent, a pair of shimmering jewels filled with a indomitable will to succeed.

Nothing seemed daunting her any longer, not her own worries, not her bruised hand, she seemed now to have nothing on her mind, lest it be the drill itself.

The post began to creak under the force of her punches, she seemed completely intent to destroy her sparring partner. As the Sun continued to sink below the horizon and the Moon began to grow in opacity, her hand were starting to bleed, her knuckles sore, but she still didn't seem to notice, her punches seemed to have become even harder, but more, now they weren't missing there mark. Indeed even as her own blood began to stain the post, her teeth starting to clench from the pain, she just pushed through all signs she should stop...

"HIYA!" She struck, "HA!" again. Her arms were becoming weary, her breath labored. The sun was now almost entirely set. "AYAH!!" Again. Even her eye lids had started to droop but she kept on with he task, "I won't...let myself...fall behind..." she hit again "Do you..." she struck yet again "Hear me...!" again. She stopped for a moment her arms limp at her sides. She gritted her teeth. "HIYA!" And struck again. The people who past now, heading home from a day at training, were actually looking at her alarmed. For such a young girl to push herself like that, it wasn't healthy.
But she was blind to their glances, numb to their sympathy, all that was in her circle now was the post...and her own dissatisfaction...

Training Complete

Kimiko stood, an evening breeze wrapping itself around her. The wet blood on her hands was cooled by the wind, as was the sweat now soaking her. Her stance would have been perfectly still if not for the movement of her labored breath. Her lids were now dropping to the point were she seemed ready to collapse any moment. She stood her ground however, her fists ready. Finally, her eyes seemed to twinkle and she, a blazing heat returned to her expression, delivered one final punch. "HIYA!!!!!!" With this final cry the entire post shifted slightly, as though it had been pushed off it's base.

Kimiko stood, her delivered fist hanging in the air...then she smirked, her teeth white as they bared a cocky grin. "There...all...done." She fell backwards and lay on the ground, her eyes shutting.

The scene sat in silence for a moment before, in a flash, her Mother appeared over her. Her dull expression remained as she sighed. "Your hopeless..." she bent down and lifted up her daughter. "How many times have I told you not to train until you drop..." she sighed yet again walking back with her daughter slung over her back like a sack of potatoes. "Heh, we better get you fixed up first, your father will never let you out of the house again if his little girl comes homes with her hands looking like that." her mother gave a smile, as though something was funny. "But maybe he'd just start crying tears of joy at your dedication..."

Kimiko mumbled something in her sleep, her face a smile. "Take that....Mabo...roshi..."

Her mother's interest peaked "Maboroshi?" She let her lids droop as was her usual custom, giving her a sometimes bored expression 'I wonder who that is...'

Kasuke Smiled, that seemed to work out quite well. He picked another rock from his feet and threw it between his hands. Feeling the weight a bit, before attaching an exploding tag. He once ran his thumb over it, in what looked like an attempt to seal it down to the rock securely, but he also spread a thin Layer of chakra across the tag. He threw up the rock and watched it explode into light in the distance. He smiled to himself, training and it's simplicity always calmed him down.

Kimiko looked left...she looked right...she lifted her hand and pointed skyward "Okay....I...am going to do this..." she seeed to be preparing herself for some insurmountable task. "I am going..." she then indicated with the utmost certainty. "TO READ THIS BOOK!!" Before Kimiko was an enormous volume it seemed indeed as though she'd follow through on her promise for "intelligence Training.". As she sat down at the base of the tree, pulling the book up on her lap, she traced her finger across the title. It wasn't her usual type of book. While she loved to read, her preferred reading material was books with actual stories to them as opposed to texts and various other things. This particular book was the first of quite a few she'd brought with her from her parents collection...rather, her mothers collection, and she was intent on staying here all day reading...she'd either get smarter, or beat her own brains out trying.
