Jins head dropped as the announcement rang through out the school. Disappointment filled his face, knowing that the defense lesson of the day isn't going to happen. Though, Jins face formed a smile as he heard the last part of the headmasters message. Well, if Jack isn't going to be able to put him through tough training, then looks like he will have to do it himself. Not like he didn't do it everyday.
Already outside, Jin closed his eyes and stood still for a moment, figuring out what to do next. Then, with a slight nod, he opened his eyes, revealing bright glowing gray. Extending his arms, he made the air pressure around him increase, increasing the amount of gravity affecting his body. Once it was just enough to leave him where he couldn't move with out keeping his power flowing through him at a steady level, he clasped his hands together, and while separating his hands, a ball formed in between.
With a smile, Jin made the ball highly pressurized and about the size of his head. Enough that if it hit him, he would be a bird for a good 50+ yards. Taking in a deep breath, Jin threw the ball as hard as he could in a random direction. The ball took off, but only for about some off yards, before the gravity that was around Jin to keep him almost immobile, pulled the ball back towards Jin. It was expected but not too soon. Jin bent his knees and pushed hard into the sky, barely dodging the ball as it scrapped his shoes. The gravity pulled him down hard, but Jin couldn't think about it for much longer as the ball was pulled back in his direction.
Jin continued to dodge the ball, doing his own physical activity.

Liri, whose right hand was griping the IV pole looked from the newcomer to Emma, then back to Jac, back to...well it was as if she were watching a tennis match. She had an idea about what had happened but her first priority was to Emma's well being as her patient and friend. Emma was currently recovering from her ailment.
Liri lifted the unoccupied IV pole and brandished it like a club at the two gentlemen. "Fiancée or King of France, I care not. But disturbing my patients while they recover is definitely not permitted. This conversation can resume later, right now out! Out the two of you!" Liri waved the pole threateningly at the two retreating men until they were pushed out into the hallway where she gave Jac a sweet smile and said, "Nice meeting you." Then she glared at Nic and growled, "We'll talk later." Before slamming the door.
"...Well, that was...exciting." Nic said as he scratched the back of his neck. "Fiancée, huh." Nic whistled. "...uh.." Nic glanced over to his friend. "How about we go to my office, I have a stocked bar...it looks like you might need a strong drink."
Liriale stared at the closed door, her cheeks still flushed. Then she let out a sigh and walked over to Emma's bed. "Emma? Are you alright?"

Elfida watched the promising treat with her sharp eagle eyes and gave her beak an excitedly 'clip clip.' Elfida gently took the fish out of Chyna's hand then tossed her head back in orders to gulp down the fish.
"Wonderful wonderful, I believe you can pet her now Chyna, you to Phenia." Leah informed the two girls. Phenia rose to her feet and walked over to Elfida and Chyna. She reached out her hand and gently stroked the creature. "Wow, she is soft!" Phenia said in surprise.
"Once the two of you have interacted with Elfida, I will call in our next creature." Leah said.
Amir was even more concerned now. He didn't understand what made Tsuki act like this. Did he say something wrong? He reviewed the day and could not figure it out. "AH Ha!" he thought. He had forgotten to complement on her outfit today...surely that was it. Women were such complicated creatures. Hesitantly he looked at Tsuki and whispered, "You look pretty today." He meant it, it had not gone under his notice that she had dressed up today.

Just before the announcement came on, she dropped the fish into Elfida's mouth and patted her on the head affectionatly. She smiled and nodded at Phenia, her statement true. The announcment startled her, but she didn't jump or anything this time. She patted the Gryphon's head again before turning to her teacher.
"Ms.Montoya, why is Mr.Prior's elective been canceled? Or do you not know?"
The girl was utterly puzzled. Had something happened? Did he die? Would she have to get a new elemental teacher? She sighed, her face filled with confusion.

Tsuki was rendered almost speechless by the sudden compliment, and her pale face was decorated with a blush that engulfed her cheeks in red. This caused her to cling on tighter to her notebook, pressing it even tighter against her chest.
"Ah...um...thank you..." she stammered, still blushing. 'Why is he complimenting me? Phenia wouldn't like that...' she thought, utterly confused by his words. Though she had been taken aback by a brief moment of bliss, her sullen composure returned to diminish her expression, leaving it sullen and weary.

Talo had left the office and made his way to his room. He was surprised. It was huge. All the little things in his oversized bag couldn't help fill it up. He sighed to himself. "I'm going to need to buy more things.... and sheets," he said as he looked over the room once again.
He then left his room and walked down the stairs. Talo wanted to get a feel for his new home before he went shopping. He headed down to the main floor and started to waner around.

Jac ran a hand through his hair, and looked back at the room, where Emma was undoubtedly hiding until she was sure he was gone. "Normally, I'd say no, but this time, yeah, a drink sounds good. I can explain the situation to you better then." Could he though? He was still wondering why Emma had left him standing. Even after these years, it hurt still. He loved her, still did, why'd she leave him? Was she seeing someone now?
Emma peeked first to make sure he was gone. "If I was stronger, his a** be on the streets," She grumbled, before brightening a bit, "Fine, very unhappy now, but phyiscally fine." He had helped her somehow, just by being near her. Damn, he must till have her father's gift. This sucked.

Leah gave an enigmatic smile and replied. "I have an idea as to why, which I will not voice. But to assuage your fear, let me assure you that you will not need to worry about your elemental class. I'm sure the Headmaster has put everything in order. Now, let me introduce you to our next mythical creature: Akash!" She then whistled a tune and a giant creature swooped through the window and into the classroom. His hooves and claws scratched at the wooden floor boards as he landed and approached Leah. "Good boy, Akash." Leah cooed and handed him a sardine. "Everyone, I would like you to meet Akash, our resident hippogriff. Can anyone tell me the main differences between Gryphons and Hippogriffs? I have named some already."

When the Hippogriff flew in, she nodded at it's beauty. Sleek, strong, and big...it would've made Chyna frightened if she didn't know it was a more tamed creature. She made her way back to her seat and studied the Hippogriff, immidiately taking out her notebook and pencil and sketching it. She barely heard her teachers question, but responded as she thought she was supposed to.
"Hippogriffs are bigger, right? And don't they require a bigger gift upon greeting?"
The pencil she held in her fingers was moving across the page, finishing the sketch of the Hippogriff. Those were the only differences that came to her mind, as she was so focused on her sketch.

"Thank you Chyna. Correct, Hippogriffs are much taller than their cousin the Gryphon. Akash stands at about 18 hands, or 180 cm which brings him to about 6 ft. The height of the Shire breed of horses. You need not present them with a gift, but with your respect and courage. You must bow lowly and wait for the hippogriff to return the gesture. Such action takes courage, sticking out your unprotected neck, the hippogriff knows this and judges your character by this. Only the brave and humble ride upon hippogriffs. Which is what we will be doing! Chyna and Tsuki will each have a turn to ride Elfida while Amir and Phenia will have their chance to ride Akash, since you two are heavier. But before we can have our fun we must understand the hippogriff." Leah gestured over to Elfida, who walked over to Leah's side. The two beasts were comfortable with each other having grown up together.
Then, Leah walked towards the other side of the room with Akash and Elfida following after her. This allowed the students to see the difference between Akash and Elfida, not just in their body's, but they way they moved fluidly across the room. Leah then maneuvered the two beasts so that they faced the students, who were currently sitting on the blue mat. "As you can see Hippogriff's have the bird and horse combination which allows them to be sturdy runners on land. They are all carnivorous. Are there any questions?" Leah asked as Elfida switched into her common sitting pose and thumped her tail leisurely against the floor. Akash remained standing and eyed each student with interest having just met them.

Her sketch was finished just before Leah poured out her next set of notes. She flipped the page over and began to write quickly, adding a header so she could identify the different creatures.
HIPPOGRIFFS
• larger than gryphon
• bow for "gift"
• bird & horse combin.
• all carnivorous
• horse 1/2 = sturdy runners
It was not exactly her best work, but it would hold up until she could touch them up later. At least they were understandable. Though her disapproval of her work did not last long, as she became exicted to ride the Gryphon with Tsuki. She turned to her and whispered excitedly.
“Did `ya hear that? We get to ride the Gryphon!”
She was excited and nervous at the same time, as you would be if you were to ride on a flying animal. She exhaled slowly, trying to calm herself, to exit all of her energy in case she were to get too excited. She did not want to bounce off the Gryphon. She supressed a giggle at the thought. She playing with her fingers excitedly, happy to have chosen this elective.

Tsuki was glad to now be introduced to the Hippogriff, for the elegant creature would certainly take her mind off her romantic troubles. It worked its charm, and it eventually entranced her mind with thoughts of "what if?" Still, her mind was worn enough so that taking notes was still too much of an effort. Paying attention to Chyna's and Ms. Montoya's information, despite her attentiveness, worse too much on her depression, so even that feeble task was not feasible.
Ms. Montoya's announcement for allowing them to ride the majestic beasts brought a brief flicker of joy in Tsuki that lasted momentarily. They still had more to learn before riding. She went back to her black sketch of the ragged doll. It had a definite body now, but it's features were still sketchy.
"Yeah, Chyna, I'm so excited," she said in a tone that betrayed the meaning of her words.
