Shannon paused at teh sound of upcoming footfalls. "s**t..." She muttered and tried to fix her hair, however the pair that came into view happened to be Boone and Claire. Wonderful.

Claire looked at Shannon and put a small smile on.
"Hey Shannon"
She said with smile. She was trying to make this alittle less uncomfortable for the two.

"Hi..." Shannon replied politely, with a gesture of her hand. However when she realized the hand was shaking she drew it back and folded her arms against her chest. "I never got a chance to say congrats...so Congrats on the baby." shannon peered at the small face for a moment and smiled. Usually kids weren't her things but for some reason she felt "She's beautiful." Please don't stare at me, please don't stare at me...

Claire smiled and looked from Leslie to Shannon. She noticed the paleness of her face.
"Are you alright?"
She asked her.

"Oh yeah...I'm fine...it's just the heat, you know...have you seen-" She broke off before she managed to say Sayid. "Nevermind...so how are you guys...?"

Not until he heard Claire ask that, did Boone really look at Shannon. She did seem a little peaked, but he didn't really feel like he should ask about her.

Sun walked in and saw the tension between the other survivors. She walked over to the group and tried to break it up.
"Shannon, could you help me with something? Kate was looking for her green tank top. She let me borrow it and I thought that I might have lent it to you..." Sun trailed off.
"Oh yeah! I have it. It's back in my bag. Come on, I'll go get it for you," Shannon replied.
"Thank you," Sun said lightly.
The two women walked away from where Claire and Boone were left standing with a wave. The tension immediately receeded from the atmosphere.
