She couldn't help laughing a little at that.
"Sorry about that...you know," She fidgeted. She really was sorry for being so judgmental right off. It appeared that he really was different from most others she had come across.
"Let's start over, shall we?" She smiled at him. I swear to god though if he turns on me, the son-of-a-b***h is dead...
He smiled and hopped down of the building, reaching her in a couple strides.
"Sure, why the hell not? but..we already shook hands and stuff, so lets just act like that whole little fight didn't happen?"
"Alright." She said, having no idea what to do now. Should she just keep on, or was she expected to entertain him in conversation some more? It seemed a shame to just leave him here, though. He may well be the only decent Shadow around here...But it seems strange to ask him to come along with me...I wonder if he lives around here...
"So...what do you do around here...?" The question sounded incredibly stupid to her once she said it aloud.
"Well, not much of anything really..I just lurk around until something catches my eye and then I see what it is! There's not really much you can do when you're a shadow, otherwise you seem out of place. Every once and a while, I carry out my own breed of justice but other than that...it's dead boring and I don't do anything!" His image rippled for a split second, then it solidified again. "So, what really brings you out here?"
What really brings me out here? Hell...Literally. She laughed for a second before answering him.
"Well, I-- you know what, I don't honestly know. I'm supposed to be on the search for something. They sent me here on one of our little missions, but I'm thinking it's gonna end up being a wild goose chase." She shook her head, staring down at the sidewalk. It was getting to be about 3 a.m. now, and the sun was barely peaking it's glowing face into the darkness. The sky had turned from pitch black to a charcoal grey, the stars twinkling just a bit less. She stepped away from the post she had been leaning on and stretched.
"Sending me out in the middle of the night, getting me all out of whack. It's bullshit. I should be asleep. The sun is coming up, and the light is calling to me, but I'm ********' dog tired."
He scratched his head.
"That's a little weird to me..You're a light user, yet they send you out in the night-time? You're probably looking for something Shadow-ridden, or they're not really having you look for anything but they're testing your ability to work in adverse conditions."
He shrugged and his image rippled again.
"Then again I've never understood the higher-ups in the light community, so go figure."
