First week of Dark Eldar has plastic Wracks with enough parts to also turn vehicle crews into Wracks and an overpriced plastic Homunculus: Next week we'll probably see the codex and a new flyer that has been hinted at. Also, expect any characters who didn't have a model in the previous codex to vanish, it's GW's way of preventing competition from making models for them.

AllSummedUpNJazz BUT THE BARON!!!!! THE FREAKING BARON!!! if they get rid of him the rage will fill the galaxy to its breaking point. I miss Marbo. I'm sure some Nid players dearly miss the Parasite and the Doom. It's sadly how GW rolls these days. On the bright side, at least the murderous cycle of renewal is almost over.

I'll believe that the cycle of renewal is over when they fail to publish a vanilla Space Marine codex in a given edition. Until then, I'm just going to assume that the editions will churn out faster and faster so they can justify releasing new versions of codices from two editions prior with ever-more-miniscule alterations...
...seriously, the Grey Knights really needed a new codex...?!

Ociluce I'll believe that the cycle of renewal is over when they fail to publish a vanilla Space Marine codex in a given edition. Until then, I'm just going to assume that the editions will churn out faster and faster so they can justify releasing new versions of codices from two editions prior with ever-more-miniscule alterations... I doubt it. The current edition codex is an excellent book, which, yes, was nothing but a minor upgrade from the previous version, but with ack-ack and Centurions added in, plus those nifty Chapter traits. It also did away with the Black Templars codex, which by this point was no longer needed as a separate release. The renewal cycle is almost over though, with just the Blood Angels and Necrons remaining. There may be one or two expansion books in the works, along the lines of Sanctus Reach, which was nothing more than a fluff book with Planetstrike rules. We may see a new fluff book with rules for Cities of Death sooner or later, it's been a while since they tried to push those Imperial city ruin sets. An amusing thought, maybe after they're done with this cycle they'll finally return to Fantasy and update the armies that are in dire need of one. Or, dare I say it, Sisters will finally get the TLC they deserve? Ociluce ...seriously, the Grey Knights really needed a new codex...?! Other way of looking at it would be, they only got a new codex and what used to be a five model boxed set has now been bumped up to a ten model set. I can't readily comment on whether or not they really needed an update, though it probably mostly had to do with the removal of the Inquisition and assassins, who have gotten their own (sadly) digital-only books.

Wasn´t there an old annoucement from GW that they would run the serie as a "living-update" concept? New s*** appears, update all the books. That explains the lack-lustered changes on current codexes.

That explains the lack-lustered changes on current codexes. I think with most codex books we've reached the stage where the core contents are fine as is, with the only real additions being stuff that was missing the first time round, like flyers and more reliable ways to counter them.

Unforseen, possible copyright-issues. Seriously, Sly Marbo.

He got so good at hiding and ambushing that you can't even see him in the codex! You'll be reading Death World, when BAM: there he is.
... this assumes you pick up Death World, which I advise against.

He had a cameo in that one, I remember it, as it was according to my friend the only real highlight of the novel.

Yeah... a great cameo of him... uh... chatting... in two different scenes... <<;; "Guardsman Marbo is a loner who sticks to the darkness at all times, even when he is receiving his orders at friendly outposts. Few have seen his face and none have heard him speak. He is utterly silent and acknowledges orders with but a slight nod before vanishing once more to find the enemy."

His stats were too weak. He needs an invulnerable save, compound bow with demolition charge arrows and FNP at the very least.

Update:Why is the Horrors of the Dark City in Dark Angels page? Clever GW already covered their mistake. Unfortunally, I printscreened the evidence. :3
