I don't typically evolve pokemon that require trading because I don't like that it resets my pokemon's happiness level.. :c it makes me sad that they don't like me anymore because I traded them away. Also, I never had any friends who played who would trade with me so it just became habit not to trade.

I forgot about that. it usually doesn't bother me cause I can just get their happiness back like nothing.

I remember that line... I think I followed it to the extreme when I played an all-Poison team in original Red Version and proved that Beedrill is underestimated. smile

Yeah, I follow that mentality too. I always try to fill my roster with the Pokemon I like the most regardless of how strong they are. Though I do keep an empty slot for a type advantage in gym battles.

anywho, yeh, you'd be surprised how powerful Arbok and Beedrill and so many others can be... and woe to those who underestimate Weezing. XD
I think there are alot of ways to make any Pokemon combatable, by just knowing that Pokemon well-enough. smile I love using Unevolved Eevee, it's my favourite Pokemon of all. ^_^

Yes! And even just using them nonstop until they're strong enough to hold their own can work.
Though, I do have the problem with Umbreon... because it doesn't learn any Dark type moves that are physical attacks.. and it doesn't have a high special attack. I really think Umbreon is cool but it's so difficult to use, lol.

Umbreon's can use Feint Atteck. smile that's physical, and useful. they also learn Pursuit, which I'd say is even better.
besides, they're mainly tanks, not strikers.
