Marik grinned. "Hmm, I bet you'll all just make it more interesting, hmm? I'll get him one way or another." turning, he went briskly towards the door. "Come on, Ryou." He said sharply, and the white-haired male jumped slightly, then bowed his head slightly and followed Marik obediently. In a choice between obeying Bakura and obeying Marik, it seemed, he chose Marik. Bakura groaned slightly as the two-- well, three, counting the baby-- left. He draped a hand over his eyes. "He must be sick. Pretty sure he is. He just didn't want to worry you because of the babies." He said, wondering if he should be worried or not. He might just be feeling sick from recent events, or it could be something serious. The body didn't have immunizations other people in the modern world had, and he had been hanging out in a hospital. Who knows what he might have picked up?

"Sick?" rei reached over feeling his forhead "you feel warm..." she reached over pushing the nurces button. "I wish he would tell me these things..."

"He never wants you to be worried." Bakura muttered, closing his eyes and enjoying her cool hand against his flushed skin. "But it'll be fine. It usually is. Did you already press the nurse button?"

"Of corse.If he has a fevor he needs somthing to treat it." rei said. A nurse walked in "yes?" rei smiled "Hello my husband here feels warm. Could you take his tempture?" The nurse nodded and took out a thermometer putting it in his mouth "Keep that under your tougne" rei said.

Bakura gave Rei a half-glare, as a way of saying 'what, you think I don't know what to do with a thermometer?'. He fidgeted a little, resisting the urge to let the thief in control just to have him freak out about the little thing in his mouth, but didn't.
Marik and Ryou came back to Kira's room, with Ryou looking apologetic as he went over to her, holding out Kai. "I'm sorry that took so long... Marik wanted to see Bakura..." He said softly, his eyes downcast.

Kira smiled "It's no problem" She said and held kai.Looking down to him she smiled "Are you a happy clean baby now?"
Rei waited till it beeped and took it out "99.1...just a slight fever..." The nursed smiled "I'll get you an asprin" she said walking out.

At that point, when the nurse left, Bakura switched with the thief. Rei's Bakura blinked and sat up, looking around the room. "Where did that other guy... Marik... go? Are you okay? Do you still want me to kill him?" "By the gods, was he hot." Marik was saying, perhaps to himself, perhaps to Malik. Maybe just to anybody who listened. Seeing Malik, he smiled wolfishly. "So... Malik... anything new going on?" He enjoyed the dark blush coming over his hikari's tanned cheeks. "No, huh? I guess it's all just the same as it always has been and always will be." Malik muttered something angrily to Marik, looking like he wanted to run away, or hit Marik. Ryou glanced over at the two, wondering what was going on. Marik just laughed, grabbing a hold of Malik's elbow, telling him that he needed to go see 'the hotness that was Bakura,' and dragged Malik out of the room without another word.
Ryou could be naive sometimes, and rather oblivious, but he had become familiar with Marik and knew when something was going on. He turned coolly towards Kira, smiling, though that smile didn't quite reach his eyes. It wasn't that he was angry or upset with her; just suspicious and tense because of Marik. He was trembling slightly. "Wonder what's going on with them?"

"Malik's just upset.He confused he loved me and I told him I dident like him that way and I was happy with you." kira said tickling kai's nose.She then looked up to him and sighed "you should calm down ryou."
Rei smiled "If he comes back feel free to.But your now your going to sit and rest." she then gently cuped his cheak looking him in the eyes "Bakura you need to tell me when your not feeling well. I can help."

"..." Ryou was completely silent as he glanced back towards the door. For a moment or two, he was overcome with the need to go out there, demand that Malik take it back, kill him... He shook his head, knowing that it wasn't serious. Kira told him no, he would probably back off. Right? Finally he turned back towards Kira, still smiling softly. "I am calm, don't worry. It's just Marik makes me nervous." "But I feel fi--" Bakura began to insist, then knew it wouldn't do any good to lie to Rei. "It's just nothing for you to worry about. I never used to get sick in Egypt, I'm sure it's okay here." True, he didn't exactly know about all kinds of new and different diseases that were in this world that weren't in his old one, but he was sure that things were fine. "Is it warm in here, or is that just me?" He then asked, pulling out of Rei's grip and glancing around.

Rei sighed softly "It's you because you have a fever" a nurse came back in with a glass of water,an asprin and a cool washcloth. Rei handed him the asprin and the water. he had taken asprin before at the house so she knew he knew how to take it "here swalow the asprin. It will bring down the fever and you'll feel better." she then took the washcloth and the nurse left.
"Yea..." she said letting kai hold onto her fever.

Remembering the nasty, bitter taste from before, Bakura hastily swallowed the pill. Just as he did so, there was a knock on the door and a familiar figure entered cheerfully. "Hadn't you gone away?" Bakura asked Marik in an annoyed tone, eying the man's double as he entered behind him. Geeze, how many copies did people in this world have? First it was Ryou, then it turns out that there's a whole other pharaoh, and now this... "I nearly... gave in to Marik." Ryou said softly. "He said I wasn't any fun anymore. I wouldn't do something like that, I couldn't." He gave Kira a sad smile. "Thank you."

Kira blinked looking over to ryou.She reached over and gently cuped his cheak "your welcome...I think." she said.

"Aww, I only wanted to show Bakura to Malik." Marik said with a pout, not leaving, and instead dragging his hikari over. Turning towards his lighter self, he switched to Japanese. "See? What'd I tell you?" He asked excitedly, though in a low murmur. "He looks so beautiful, all flushed and soft... I bet he even tastes helpless." Malik gave his yami a glare, then sighed. "Marik, number one: This is Bakura." He snapped back in Japanese. "Past or modern, he'll still kick your a** if you try to do anything with him that he doesn't want. Number two: it's sick. He's got a wife now, and hell, even kids, from what Yugi said. Not that I'd put it past you to go after someone like that, but can't you just give him a break?"

"So..." Ryou said slowly, after being quiet for a little bit. "What kinds of things did Malik say to you?" He spoke with a calm tone and he looked relaxed, but there was an angry glitter in his eyes. Not towards Kira, but towards Malik, judging from the way he spoke the Egyptian's name.

"Oh and number 3: he'll kill you. he's far from helpless.Infact you continue to piss me off he'll kill you anyways" rei said in japanese her eyes narowwed. "An by the way if you havent figured it out by now idiot I speak japanese."
"basicly he thinks i'd be better off with him.." sighing she reched over kissing ryou's check. "but ryou nop need to get angery. I told him no. I only love you." kai cooed loudly as if agreeing.

Marik had a ticked off look, so Malik decided to step in for another moment. "I am so sorry about my ya... Marik. He does this sometimes. He's just weird and... Well, I doubt you really need to worry about him." Malik cringed slightly. "Since he doesn't have his Millennium Rod anymore, he just makes a lot of empty threats..."
Bakura would normally be pissed off by not being able to understand what was being said, but right then he just had an exhausted look on his face. What Marik said was right, in a way; he did look flushed, from the fever. He kept his eyes on Marik, because he seemed to be the biggest threat.
