The text from Mary was immediate.
Omg no more hostess. Factory blown up and stuff.
Wallace read it, frowned, then read it again. Dammit. That had been a prime date with Hartley for him. Now, he doubted that it would ever happen.
He was also surprised to find that he was kind of relieved about this. At the mere mention of Hostess snack cakes, Hartley seemed to lose his grip on sanity just a little more, and he would instantly become selfish. It had a way of making Wallace feel, well, insignificant. It wasn't a way he particularly enjoyed feeling either. He couldn't imagine that anyone did.
Wallace rubbed his feet against the carpeted floor, reveling in the sound that it made, that soft swoosh swoosh. He closed his eyes, listening to it, and he paused for just a moment before texting back.
Well s**t.
Maybe he could think of something else special to do for Hartley. Something where they'd be alone together, and where he wouldn't be put on a second tier after snack cakes.

Iris checked her work... the outfit fit Chris like a sexy suductive glove. She smiled admiring her work.
" Okay.. you should be ready to take him on now."
Iris rolled her eyes as she heard Emma in her head.
" Oh yeah, let's get everyone in one place so when Razor tries to kill us all he just needs to go to the auditorium and not try and find us."
Iris then noticed what was playing on TV behind her.
" Oh..no... no more Twinkies... no more Ding Dongs... no more Fruit Pies... THAT b*****d! I wanted my DELICIOUSNESS! The FIEND! He MUST pay! Crimes against YUMMYNESS will not tolerated! "

The teachers have not been drawn out, Talon. Your strategy was flawed.
They should have come.
Who are those humans below?
*Below the two Raptors, LexCorp security attempted to quench the fire and drive off the attackers. Lex had decided that NO ONE would keep him from his 40 Twinkies.*
Rabble.
*Razor clutched his chest in pain.*
Brother? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ At the Null Source:
*Chris shifted in his prison. He was picking things up from his armor, even in this pod. Flashes of Razor's thoughts and actions. The bastards were attacking Hostess! DAMN THEM!* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing! An anomaly.
Let us return to the school. We have Kryptonians to hunt. Perhaps we will come across some of their telepaths or mages as well.

Hartley Rathaway -
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
It had been the middle of the night when Hartley's phone had rung, with precious little information coming from his aunt Florence. Her sister, his mother, was in the hospital in the middle of the Rockies.
His flight was already booked for him, so it wasn't like he had a choice. As the sun barely started to rise over Hero High, Hartley was on his way west to Colorado. From the time Beatrice called to takeoff, his phone was overwhelmed with calls from Rathaway Publishing. Apparently, no one could get ahold of his father, so they settled for the next best thing...him.
"What? I don't know. I don't know! Why are you asking me? Go ahead and print it, fine, whatever." Hartley wished his phone had a receiver he could slam it down on as the flight attendant gave him yet another warning to turn the phone off. Did anyone in his dad's publishing empire have any individual initiative? Would they really rather Osgood Rathaway's f*ck-up son make the decisions instead, so that if they were bad, there'd be a scapegoat?
Hartley frantically texted, but once again, the flight attendant came by and hovered over him. He'd barely gotten off four words to Wallace. Hopefully, it'd be enough for the next six hours.
Mom hurt in CO.
He stewed the entire flight over, mulling over dark thoughts lobbed from different parts of his brain back and forth like some sort of mental tennis game. Was she going to be okay? What had happened? Why didn't his father call him? Why were they in Colorado of all places?
Was she dying?
Why didn't his father call him?
The flight was arduous and full of turbulence, not helping Hartley's mood. After landing, a limousine driver bearing the name "H. Rathaway" on a placard bore him away from the airport and towards the hospital.
"Excuse me, do you know what happened to my mother?"
"I do not, sir. Sorry."
Hartley thumbed additional texts to Wallace.
"Don't know how bad. May be here a while."
"Hate this. Miss U."
"Hate this."
Arriving at the hospital was a blur, as was checking in and being led down a long hallway to a room where she was recuperating. A nurse FINALLY explained to him what happened...a corporate retreat in the Rockies, a skiing accident. His mother had fallen off of the ski lift. Broken leg, broken arm, concussion.
He was livid.
"How does that happen?! There's seatbelts and...harnesses, and things, aren't there?"
"I'm sorry, I don't know any of the details of the accident."
"Where is my father?"
"I'm afraid your father had to catch a flight back to Keystone City."
Hartley's jaw literally dropped. His mother had almost DIED, and his father was going back to work?! His eyes nearly crossed from the rage in the front of his brain.
"Hartley!"
Before Hartley could spout off, his aunt Beatrice came up and put her hands on his shoulder.
"H-hey, aunt Bea."
"Thank God you made it. Come on, come in. She's not awake yet, but I'm sure she'd want you there."
"Why did my dad leave, Bea?"
"Oh, Hartley. It's the lawsuit he's preparing against the resort. He says that the seating harness failed on the ski lift. They have to move swiftly to get things in order before the resort covers it up."
"What?! He left her side...FOR A LAWSUIT?!"
"Shhhhh...here. Come on. Hold her hand."
Hartley obligingly felt the hand Beatrice slipped into his own and he stroked it, but his thoughts were far away. In Keystone City. Strangling his dad.

Wally West
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The instant the TV program had announced it, Wally was at the Hostess factory, using all of the powers at his disposal to try to help save the flakey, buttery goodness.
It was a futile effort. The wind smelled like burnt twinkies. The firefighters and Wally did what they could, but this would be a severe blow to Hostess's distribution in the midwest. That mean...no twinkies for Christmas.
No red and green sno-balls.
And no. More. Chocodiles.
Wally's lips curled into an angry sneer. Whoever did this, they would pay. He looked around, searching for a path he could follow to the culprits.

Cassie was in the infirmary with Clark... She stayed next to him although after what he said about Chris. Cassandra remembered her dream, there was something around Chris, something evil, and whatever it was had finally come out. It was in the infirmary she saw the news broadcast.
" Oh no! Those poor snack cakes!"
She looked at Clark and then back at the television.... she was torn. Cassie felt guilty. She drove Chris to it. The boy was just emotionally unstable right now. Still Cassie couldn't let innocent people get hurt on her account.
" I'm sorry Clark. I'm so so sorry. I need to stop him. I need to stop Chris"
She heard Emma speak to her in her head but ignored her.
" I'm sorry Ms.Frost. I'm sorry everyone.. this is all my fault. I need to find a way to set it right. I need to stop Chris."
Cassie slowly walked out of the infirmary.
" If I'm going to stop him I'll need help... "

Chris looked over the over the armor and gave Iris a smile
"Looks great. I hope that all this work wasn't for nothing though. This Razor guy sounds like he isnt going to be easily defeated."
He slipped the armor on. and practice some fighting to get used to it.
"How do I look?"

Talon, there is someone new here.
*Razor pointed down at Wally.*
Ah. Your host's 'roommate.'
What is a 'roommate,' brother?
The humans pair with each other in rooms at the school.
They're mates?
No. It is hard to understand unless you have watched them as I have. This one seems quite upset. Perhaps our plan is working. Shall we destroy that next?
*Talon pointed at the most important area of the Hostess Factor. The entrance to Angel Cake Alley, Home of the Twinkie. Razor nodded.*
It seems as good as a place as any here.

"Ready for this?" He asked himself more than Iris.

Teddy was curled up on his bed, snoozing soundly. He hadn't been able to find Billy or Wallace, but had sent Billy a text.
Get your butt to my room. I want to cuddle.
A textbook was spread out under him, and his cheek was pressed to one of the pages. He had gone to sleep dreaming that Billy was walking towards him, floating on clouds in an outfit that may have been a little too risque for a PG-13 scenario. It had been nice, and Billy had thoroughly rubbed behind his ears, which he adored.
A little noise emerged from his mouth, and he rolled over, knocking the book off the bed with a thud. One eye opened, and he looked around. "Billy?" Nope. No Billy. Lame. He wished he'd hurry up with getting here. He was in a real hugging mood.

" No ... not at all. But what choice do we have?"
Iris saw Talon and Razor above her and yelled at them.
" Co'mon Razor! Fight me! I'm cute little red-headed speedster with a bad attitude! That's gotta be worth ten points!"
She starts throwing pieces of rubble at the duo ... at hypersonic speeds.

Brother, who is that?
*A storm of rubble filled the air around the Raptors. They both erected energy shields from their amulets which deflected the worst of it.*
I am not sure. There was a male that Powell talked to that looked like this one...
Well, it is annoying me. I wish to swat it.
Brother, wait!
*Razor ignored Talon's protest and swooped down at Iris, firing chest blasts as he went.*
