((he was whipped over 200 times!!! that would put almost anyone close to death! and yeah, it was also referred to as a cat o' nine tales. it is a whip that has nine strands on the end, often thorns, sharp rocks, and bits of metal were worked into those ends so it would tear more flesh.))

Marienara saw April's reaction. "Don't worry April, we would never hurt you, ever. The most you would ever get would be a scolding. Loki was warned several times, and as you said earlier, he did kill someone today. That is unacceptable. There are several reasons his punishment was so harsh, and that was one of them. He is a special case, it is very unusual, and not something we like to do, but we had no choice. You are under my protection, you will never be harmed."

((yes onee-sama, it fits perfectly, the balcony could be what connects their "apartment" to Marienara and Sien's. There is one, that is mirror image of that on the other side of Marienara and Sien, that also share's a balcony with them. It is currently unoccupied. Just one question though, are those bathrooms or closets in their rooms, and if they are closets, where is the bathroom? lol, don't worry about it though, it works fine.))

Loki tried to get up again with hardly any more progress he fell back down and screamed in agony it echoed throughout the duchy.
Nick heard the scream and cringed he couldn't help, but fell somewhat bad for Loki, but he knew that what he did was wrong and he deserved it he shook his head to get his mind off of it.

((umm, the duchy is very big....it consists of several counties....I doubt it would ring throughout the whole duchy, or even the freehold for that matter, as most of the walls are designed and spelled to be soundproof.))
